- As ever, a bit of a longer video than normal as I explain the various steps, and tables, of game play.
Definitely a fun game. Not too many rules to remember.

2 D10's are rolled for ship ID.
You twice rolled 1 D6 for escort detection, should be 2.
Crap. You're right. I've done that in a few videos. I'll correct that from video 5 onwards. Oops!
The story about the dud torpedoes could fill several books. One of the greatest failures in the United States militaries' history.
When you rolled that 5 and said dud.....painful.... you were so sure it was gonna fail you let the game cheat you out of the roll lmao
Hi Ronnie thanks for the video, game looks very interesting. Not sure if you have play but comparing to The Hunters which one would you prefer and which one would you recommend for a novice like me?

I've not played Hunters, and I believe there's one coming called Hunted. I'd say grab any/all of the series as they're all pretty similar so I've read. Silent Victory is certainly a lot of fun. Even for a novice.
the only problem seems find a copy, looks like sold out everywhere :(

Thanks for checking out my other videos. Anything with 'Here's How It Works' is a board game video/series. I'm currently recording a new game of RAF 1940 playing as the Germans this time. It's turning out to be so disastrous that it's funny. :D
Hi Ronnie, finally managed to get the game, and what a game I would say, lots of fun! Just a quick one if you don't mind. I miss now on the rules about the log sheet. assuming you start you patrol on Dec-41 with Narwhal sub and your patrol assignment is Philippines, how ofter you update the log book? It is on my understanding that each encounter you want to deal with you reports on the book so each month is corresponding on each patrol step of whole Philippines tour transit included till you reach again the port? Thanks
Hi Andrea! I'm glad you're liking it. It's really a great game.
The log sheet is filled in per patrol (from what I remember) and you write in each encounter. You put in entries (in tonnage) where you hit and sink. I think the circled is hit, but not sunk. I THINK. I'd have to double check that.

D-day at Omaha Beach? Oh dear. That game is BRUTAL. I've hardly gotten anywhere in it. So hard to keep track of where people can/can't go due to barriers, cliffs, etc.
