The wife and are starting to get more serious about bass fishing and videos like these are a huge help. People spout fishing jargon like we should all already know it. Can’t tell you how many times I’ve watched a vid just to stop it and watch a different one to get content from the first explained (just like now). Thanks man. It was simple, and easy to understand, much appreciated!
photo camera not necessarily, depends on the lure weight compared to the power of the rod. and heavy power rod can just handle more weight on the rod. you can get a heavy power fast action rod and the tip will flex a little more than a moderate action would.
photo camera no. The video is partially incorrect. You can’t throw smaller crankbaits on a m/h rod for example, a bandit 100 crankbait on a m/h rod would be a disaster! it’ll cast far on a medium rod. A heavy rod I use A-rig. I try using a-rig on a medium heavy retrieving it’ll have a lot more bend just by retrieving than a heavy rod.
I did not know what I was doing, taking my kids fishing first time. I bought a 7 ft medium heavy for me. A small ultra-light for my 9yr old son, and a medium action 6 ft for my 12 yr old daughter. I don't know if I truly fucked that up or what but I wonder if my medium heavy can be used for pan fish? We're just going to be fishing off the shore LOL. I have a feeling my rod was meant for being on a boat caching huge fish and might have bought the wrong kind of rod. Mine is a $100 Abu Garcia
