Very nicely done...love wild flowers the arrangement looks unique and fresh🌼:)) thanks for sharing you got the gift...wishing you and your family a wonderful blessed week, much love from Las Vegas😎
Beautiful arrangement John. It's surprising what you can find when you are out for a walk. I live in a major city so wild flowers are limited, but this is lovely to look at and if I was given that as a gift I would love it. Thanks for sharing x
Trish Doughty thank you! That is good to hear that you would find it a good gift - commercial flowers can be in this style also - there is a wonderful single lisianthus that looks like a wild flower. But it’s amazing what you find in cities also 😀🙋🏼♂️
Hi John! Beautifully done! I so appreciate your expertise at the hand-tied bouquet - not something I had to do much when in the business. Americans were, I think, late to the party with that style of arranging. The little white santorinis are really beautiful. In face, at first, I thought you had Feverfew there. Thanks for this! You you gues are doing just fine!
stepps511 thank you! The handtied bouquet now dominates here - but that’s ok, though maybe too much of a good thing 😆 yes, these little santini are a great commercial version of feverfew, you are right. Stay safe and enjoy some flowers 😀🌼🍂
@@FlowerJoos Yes, "santini", I think Santorini may be a "place"! LOL! It's "mum" season here, and they are everywhere. A very good thing! Happy Autumn!
I really love the look of this bouquet. I like to mix wildflowers (weeds) with commercial, seasonal flowers. You make it look so easy! I think the free standing hand tie is a wonderful gift for a friend without a particular occasion. Thank you John!
09:31 Saturday 6 March 2021. I love how loose & free, yet deliberate is this design that you have created! Thank you for including your list of materials. I learn so much from you. Stay Safe, Stay blessed. Thank you for the fine camera work.
Very pretty. I love it standing in the shallow dish. I think hand tied arrangements look best when they are not squashed into a vase so the shallow dish is a brilliant idea. Thank you xx
I love the wildflower style! It reminds me of sunny days of summer! This bouquet wouldn't give me the same feeling if there were other colours like pink and purple. You always make yellow arrangements so beautifully! I would love to see you post pictures of this on Instagram so that I can have a closer look and stare at it for hours! 😍🤭
Sandy H. Thank you! Yes, we can post to Instagram 😀 you are right about the colours - and this was just what was out there really, so the santini just fitted in with the rest 😀🙋🏼♂️🌼
I love watching you making a hand tied bouquet...experience obviously is what makes it look so easy!😊 I'm not a fan of wild flowers except in the wild, but I absolutely love this. 💕 Fabulous as always John.
Margaret Ferguson thank you! I know what you mean - but the shape of the bouquet and the placement in the tray is quite visually strong , so actually the wildflowers are not the biggest element. Thank you for watching and liking it 😀🍂🍁
John, That is simply fantastic! You never disappoint :)) It must be so much fun walkin around your beautiful property just clip this and that and in 5 minutes you have a lovely bouquet. Now that is a gift form mother earth...priceless. Thank You :))) Stay safe.God Bless OHIO
Love it. Since corona I spend more time walking, and quite close to my home is a bit of rural area. There I found, indeed earlier this season, lots and lots of wildflowers. I just 'dropped' them in a vase. Now I have better ideas to present them nicely. Thank you.
Marie Hartmann yes! It’s good to know what is in your area - it can be surprising what you find! Escaped garden plants - even fruit! But the wildflowers are lovely 😊
Hi John! Could you talk sometime about accommodating allergies? We have lots of beautiful goldenrod here, but can’t use it because it causes hay fever for so many folks. I’ve also run into people allergic to bay and eucalyptus. Makes me think that asking about allergies should be on the checklist when doing a consult. The other wedding tip I would give to brides is on how to hold their bouquet. I see many photos where the brides hold their bouquet so high that it covers beautiful aspects of their dress. Below the bellybutton is a good suggestion for holding the bouquet at a more elegant level. Thanks for your work. I am loving it all and learning so much.
Katsch S those are good points - and ones which don’t get considered very much. I knew a florist who developed an allergy to any flower that was red! And a girl allergic to tulips - just being in a room with them! You are right about bridal bouquets as well. I think both should be covered in consultations - and add allergies to normal order taking. I shall add these to our list for maybe a future video as well 😀 stay safe and healthy
I'm really enjoying your most recent videos, especially as you are using so much material from the garden. I grow flowers, foliage and grasses to make arrangements myself so this is why it's extra special. Your arrangement with the collar was pretty and I wondered whether you had ever grown Briza Maxima also called quaking grass? It would have looked well in that arrangement as they nod and have lots of movement. It's a great plant but don't turn your back on it as it is a prolific self seeder. You just need to look it in the eye and let it know who's boss. I also have success with Panicum elegans or frosted explosion. It also self seeds but on a much more acceptable level and you can transplant the seedlings where you want. They also look good grown in pots with other flowers. Thanks for all the videos. Margery Holmes
Margery Holmes thank you! I shall look those up - I love grasses! Yes, it’s been fun being crafty and creative as well as using material from the garden. I am now a dahlia holic! Your garden sounds lovely - enjoy this season and stay safe! 🙋🏼♂️😀
Ohh, no, sorry. It did take a lot as they are so thin. Best to think volume rather than stem count as depending on flowers the stem count could be more or less
You are amazing, love watching every single beautiful arrangment. Thank you for sharing!
@@ThienTamHienNgoc thank you so much 😊 🌼🌼🌼
