I hate white noise. It hurts my ears. But something about rain's version of it makes me sleep like the dead. I used to get in trouble for pressing my face against the glass door as a kid because we had a really old tree in the yard that would drop limbs all the time in storms and eventually fell on the house. My grandmother also didn't appreciate it because she is a type A that can't tolerate smudges lol

Yeah, but liking rain is very stereotype of those who live in sunny places, same way it's stereotype to love sun for those who live in places with very little sun and too much cloud coverage throughout the year. If you constantly get the downsides of whatever you have hammered into your skull, you're far more likely to have an overly simplified and... The opposite of nuanced type view on what the opposite means, as in more than just the good parts. It's just a simple fact of life. Not bad, not good, but it's important to a knowledge that whatever stuff means more than just the parts of it that you like about it (or more than just the parts you hate about it).

Yes, the hills and local mountain look majestic regardless. But I can't express how much my mood improves when they're green and lush rather than yellow-brown and sparse. One of my best memories is walking around the open space in the cloudy weather with two friends, and almost no one else in the area. It was late December/early January, and it started misting while we were there - it turned into light rain at some point, but it's one of the most magical experiences I've ever had. Haven't ever had an experience like that when the sky is at peak brightness and it's hot outside.

Rain is my favorite weather but, I don't think that I am being deep by liking it. The people who think they are deep by liking rain are annoying. I like rain because of the sound, the way it feels, and ESPECIALLY the scent but, I don't brag about it mainly because no one gives a shit. i sit out in the rain often, especially if it is coming down hard. leave anything prone to water damage inside and sit in the yard chair, very relaxing. somewhat unfortunately it tends to thunder/lightning when it gets heavy so i have watch it under cover, but still outside.

Seattle resident here, the great thing about living in seattle besides the opiate addiction and absurd living cost, the city is still built for rain. Everything stays open, there are no floods, and in the rare occasion in which the power does go out, it's only for like 30 minutes max. You get all the comfyness of rain while still being able to live your life.
rain makes forests. I like forests. Therefor I like rain. Edit: Actually, rain makes a lot of things I like, like food, not dying, and also not dying! But seriously, Living in the Pacific Northwest people complain about how dreary it is, but the spectacular dense tall forests it creates (and the snowy peaks and glaciers at higher elevation) are worth it.
I love the rain too, it doesn't mean I am an introvert, in fact I am an extrovert. The reason I love the rain is because its so refreshing, the air is much lighter and fresher after rain. Too much sunshine make dry air. In fact I hate mornings and I hate sunshine, they are too simple and optimistic. Conformist people usually like sunshine and mornings because they are perfectionist and people pleases.

Living in South Florida, you start to know the rain. Not in a super deep, I’m-so-mysterious way. You just learn to love it like that weird second cousin who comes around way too often and stays for dinner. But, no, for real, it’s just so beautiful and calming.
Meanwhile in Australia if it rains that 0.01% of the time, you thank the Lord and if you don't love it you monster but don't worry the draught will continue in like 2 minutes
I like soft rain a lot. Walking through little puddles, the constant dripping sound on the umbrella, the way everything becomes weirdly more colorful in blurry wetness during the day, neon lights reflecting off the ground if it's nighttime, and omg the smell if it's summer rain and the squish squash sounds from the water in your sandals ♡ It's really enjoyable. But being outside in a rainstorm is a completely different thing of course. Can't use an umbrella, glasses become impossible to see through, you get wet down to your underwear and it doesn't dry at all, it literally HURTS how hard raindrops hit your face and if it's also freezing outside it's that much worse. But, like she said in the video, it can be very nice to view the world go to shit like that from inside, makes it feel that much more cozy when you DON'T have to go outside in that weather and can watch it from the window with a hot cup of tea and a blanket, or at night listen to the wind howl around your house and slam hundreds of liters of rain against the wall and windows, it has a very calming effect because I know I'm safe and warm inside. And yes. I'm saying that despite having suffered from blackouts due to rainstorms, cellar filled with water and roads blocked due to rivers, sewage systems and the like giving up trying to handle the amount of water. Normal temporary rain troubles are fine, just outright flooding is a hard no. Not trying to be deep, I just find many sideeffects of rain nice and the bad ones mostly less bad than the ones of too much heat and sunshine.

When I don't have to go outside, I love the rain too. I was also that pizza delivery guy for way longer than I'd like to admit, and that does indeed suck. Tips are actually usually worse on rainy days.
Listen, rain can suck but it's also a mandatory shower for anyone trying to go outside and honestly having lived on a college campus I can promise that it's a worthy trade-off.

i sit out in the rain often, especially if it is coming down hard. leave anything prone to water damage inside and sit in the yard chair, very relaxing. somewhat unfortunately it tends to thunder/lightning when it gets heavy so i have watch it under cover, but still outside.

nah im from southwest washington and people here either love or dont mind rain. kind of impractical to be in the northwest if you hate rain lol
Seattle resident here, the great thing about living in seattle besides the opiate addiction and absurd living cost, the city is still built for rain. Everything stays open, there are no floods, and in the rare occasion in which the power does go out, it's only for like 30 minutes max. You get all the comfyness of rain while still being able to live your life.
I live in Fircrest, which is right outside the city limits of Tacoma. Too busy trying to not get stabbed by meth addicts to worry about rain!

But seriously, Living in the Pacific Northwest people complain about how dreary it is, but the spectacular dense tall forests it creates (and the snowy peaks and glaciers at higher elevation) are worth it.

I love the rain too, it doesn't mean I am an introvert, in fact I am an extrovert. The reason I love the rain is because its so refreshing, the air is much lighter and fresher after rain.
Too much sunshine make dry air. In fact I hate mornings and I hate sunshine, they are too simple and optimistic. Conformist people usually like sunshine and mornings because they are perfectionist and people pleases.

I personally like the rain, I like the smell of it and I even like it to be outside when it just rains without wind.

Living in South Florida, you start to know the rain. Not in a super deep, I’m-so-mysterious way. You just learn to love it like that weird second cousin who comes around way too often and stays for dinner.
But, no, for real, it’s just so beautiful and calming.
Meanwhile in Australia if it rains that 0.01% of the time, you thank the Lord and if you don't love it you monster but don't worry the draught will continue in like 2 minutes

I like soft rain a lot. Walking through little puddles, the constant dripping sound on the umbrella, the way everything becomes weirdly more colorful in blurry wetness during the day, neon lights reflecting off the ground if it's nighttime, and omg the smell if it's summer rain and the squish squash sounds from the water in your sandals ♡
It's really enjoyable.
But being outside in a rainstorm is a completely different thing of course. Can't use an umbrella, glasses become impossible to see through, you get wet down to your underwear and it doesn't dry at all, it literally HURTS how hard raindrops hit your face and if it's also freezing outside it's that much worse.
But, like she said in the video, it can be very nice to view the world go to shit like that from inside, makes it feel that much more cozy when you DON'T have to go outside in that weather and can watch it from the window with a hot cup of tea and a blanket, or at night listen to the wind howl around your house and slam hundreds of liters of rain against the wall and windows, it has a very calming effect because I know I'm safe and warm inside.
And yes. I'm saying that despite having suffered from blackouts due to rainstorms, cellar filled with water and roads blocked due to rivers, sewage systems and the like giving up trying to handle the amount of water. Normal temporary rain troubles are fine, just outright flooding is a hard no.
Not trying to be deep, I just find many sideeffects of rain nice and the bad ones mostly less bad than the ones of too much heat and sunshine.

When I don't have to go outside, I love the rain too. I was also that pizza delivery guy for way longer than I'd like to admit, and that does indeed suck. Tips are actually usually worse on rainy days.
