I don't believe the rubber / plastic sheathing around that power wire will ever wear through? I don't think there's enough vibration for that to happen. But if it does it'll just blow the fuse. Plus there's not enough moisture or water splashing up that high to enter the vehicle. I suppose the proper way would to be install a plastic grommet in a bigger hole then sliding the power wire through the center. Thanks for the insight my friend and the tip for all :-)
I got the schematic off the website I pay for every month it's called direct hit or identifix. I can take a picture of the schematic you might need but I'm not sure how to post a picture here?
You could splice into the speaker wires in the rear deck or you can splice into the wire from the radio for the front speakers. You can find out which speaker white you need to splice into by looking it up on Google.

Are you talking about where I spliced into the factory speaker wires to provide the signal for the amplifier next to the driver's side back seat? so yes I spliced into the factory speaker wires to get the signal to go into the aftermarket amplifier and back out to the subwoofer

Just ground it to any metal close to the amp I usually just peel the carpet back grind some paint and screw it down :-)

Yeah I tried that and got no signal. Was told I prob have a factory amp. Dont know where it is
