Highway touring solely - I can recommend but make sure to remove beak and carry a duck take to close the vents. Basis my experience of highway - the noise from those vents sounds like ghost noise. So close the duct with a duct tape and ride.

Wind noise is there but will be there in any helmet of this class. I counter it with a pair of good noise cancellation ear buds. For highways, it works. I have tried with/without beak. Without beak it can be used for touring easily with ANC earbuds. With beak there's noticeable wind blast so reckon to use it with beak only at speeds < 90kmph
I also faced this issue with this helmet - but later I figured out that it is not the helmet but bike position you use the helmet. I can make separate video about this topic. Hard to cover all of it in a comment. But TLDR; it's probably your seating position along with helmet causing this pain.
I have not tried LS2 so can't give comparison. However, if mostly you are touring go for non-beak type and if you want aesthetics and don't mind removing beak then go for this.

Yes there is wind noise in helmet. Actually in any helmet you buy - after 80 kmph noise exits.
