- First time riding in this event. Nice event and great atmosphere + food and drink + music at the finish line (included in your registration). Would do it again next year if I have chance. Recommended! Even you don't race or ride very fast, the finish line festival is one of the best.
The best deal that worth the money and feeling special in my opinion is the police motorcycle lead and block the intersections if you have strong legs to keep up with main (fast) peloton. It's my first time riding with police escort.
Mandatory and long rest stop half way (for fast group, it's about 15 minutes wait), so (a tad) slower group can rejoin and go out again with the police lead in 2nd half. I got drop early 1st half due to the group get stretched out and I was not commit soon enough. 2nd half I was better prepared mentally and keep up to the end, except I don't have sprint left. even 200 watts feel miserable at the final half mile to go.
Hitting 35+ mph (55+ km/h) in the city streets is feeling exciting (and to be honest, quite nervous).
