Did you know how the ROG Ally is different from the Steam Deck? Valve being Valve, they are using an older RDNA 2 GPU and Zen 2 CPU in it, which is a bummer for efficiency and performance at least, but the processor is a custom one made by Valve which cut downs a lot of stuff in it to save power. Plus, the older quad core processor means more power for the GPU. You will be able to see all the power saving done in every part of the chip. The Ally on the other hand, uses a full flat laptop processor which is not that critically optimized for power saving. That is why the Deck always outperforms the Ally in lower TDP limits, because the Ally is power throttling like heck, with it's 8 core CPU at 5.1 GHz and no power optimizations for a handheld, there is very little power left for the GPU to use. But, if played at high TDP limits, and the increase of efficiency and performance due to newer architecture (Zen 4, RDNA 3), the Ally does outperform the Deck. Try to see if you can your hands on an Ally, it would be pretty interesting to compare.
"Valve being Valve, they are using an older RDNA 2 GPU and Zen 2 CPU" Because it was the only option a year ago? CPU is cut in half, sure. It’s verified because technically, game as a whole is working fine. Text is visible, controls working, no glitches. It’s not a Valve fault that it’s one of the most unoptimized ports.
It’s not a steam deck problem - the whole “the last of us” port is a highly unoptimized game. It was exclusively written for PS3 Cell processor and porting it to PC was a hard task.
@zWORMzGaming It was great and perfectly stutter free and lag free not a single time dropped, but i really wonder if there is something to be done about that input lag.. :( Is there? It definently had more input lag than hogwarts legacy I think. If you found a way to reduce the input lag would been awesome :D
Yeah it felt worse than Hogwarts legacy for sure! Maybe because of the clunky aiming system... The only way I found so far is to connect it to an external display, which defeats the whole purpose of the deck 😐
@@zWORMzGamingYe I read it's basically up to valve to fix the huge input lag in the steam deck in some games it's worse than in others it's them that have broken the refresh rate and fps limiter that causes all that input lag, I hope they can fix it.
I dunno why steam keeps putting the playstation excluvies as verified since theif ports suck. God of war still has that memory leak that causes crashing. Horizon stutters. Last of us had a terrible launch.
This is why I won't buy a steamdeck. It should have been able to play every game that is on steam that came out before it but it's so limited in what will play. It makes no sense that a steamdeck is having trouble playing a game that is on steam.

Its not the fastest hardware anymore but i fill it should be able to do 1080p 60 medium with dlss or fsr. 10875h, 16gb’s 3200mhz ram, 2070S on a 144hz 1080p gsync display. I want to try this out on the asus ally tonight when i get home from work. I’ve been playing diablo 4 on it and it runs fine. I got sick of pc games running bad so on my main system I thought I would just brute force my way to a good framerate. My main systems are a 7950X3d 4090 and 5800X3d 3080ti. Just put together a 5950x and 2080ti tinker build. I want to do a 13gen intel build but might as well wait for 14th gen.
Way less inputlag than cloud gaming, so that's really good...
My audio is crackling anyone else having that issue?
That performance makes you want the ROG!… it’s running north of 50 fps on Ultra!
ok, play it for 10 minutes
as usual day 91 -Fon't have pc bt watching u kryzzp
Thank you my friend 😊
do you have gtx 1660 super or any 1660 gpu if yes plz make a benchmark with it on last of us
I have a 1660ti
keep up ❤
I just can justify investing in the last of us on pc for the experience offered on Steam Deck, my PS3 still runs the game without a hitch, leaving the pc rendition on the shelf where it belongs.
How loud does the fan get?
Please do a nfs franchise video on gtx 1050 ti..I 'm tired of these new unoptimized games😣😣................😍😍love your videos kryzzp 😍😍
You can use gyro and trackpad to help with the aim
Please benchmark 6700xt on last of us part 1 and other games 🙏❤️
What's the earliest motherboard that can enable resizeable bar?
Are you using cryoutilities 2.0 ?
No
hey el kruzzpo 🙃 can u do a 2023 updated video for gtx 1080
Please test the 980 ti with the latest update. You didn't do a dedicated video with this game on the 980 ti
Will do!
@@zWORMzGaming Cool thanks! Try 1440p with FSR too
hi bob😂❤
i get rx 580
what is the better monitor to get
i can get ips 1080p hdmi 75hz
it will be good or no?
i'am sorry for filling, i follow you from arabic, jordan🤝❤
a 60hrtz ips 1080p monitor is enough for your card
its showing gpu drivers outdated error message, any way to remove that error message?
I have a question. I have seen that TLOU remake requires SSD on pc. So does that mean that it wont play on a 64gb steam deck with 512gb sd card?
It should work, but I wouldn't buy the game to play like shown in the video, it isn't a good experience
@@zWORMzGaming Yeah based on the video, even I aint gonna buy this game. But i am thinking of getting the 64gb steam deck but dont want to miss out any games cause they require an ssd and tgus used this game as a reference point. Thanks! I think i will get it.
How do I get the 6000 MB of VRAM I only have 2000 while I put 4GB of VRAM in the BIOS?
I wonder why total power only reaches 21+ when he locks the fps, also how is it below 25 anyways?
Does the screen use that much power?
Yup
SD should rase that power limit to 25 at least. At least in dock mode 25w is more than possible. i feel valve is limiting themself
It's already at 80 degrees consistently, raising power limit by 66% isn't a good idea at this point
@@tranquiiilthey could implement the same type of cooling that the ally has. Even at high wattages its still quieter than the steam deck
The impact would not be as huge as you think. The Deck has a custom CPU made specifically for low TDP. Going from 15w to 25w may only bring up the framerate from 28 to 31 in difficult areas. Even on other PC handhelds it's not a linear bump in performance. I see no difference on my GPD Win 4 between 22w and 32w beside the battery drain and fan going crazy.
hey Kryzzp i need assistance
i have this issue for mostly the intensive game title
in crowded area and cities where bunch of people and vegetable and building exist in AC Origin , Red Dead Redemption 2 , Warzone 2 and etc fps drop from like 70 to 40 and seriously a mess buddy
is it cpu bottlenecking?
GPU : RX 580 8gb
CPU : i5-6400 2.7Ghz
Ram : 16Gig DDR4
Hard Drive : 1TB 7200RPM
Hi, yes it's definitely a CPU bottleneck!
@@zWORMzGaming Appreicate it
Seems to me these scenarios showed are just like alfheim on god of war, specific places will not run smooth, but most places will run fine
Yeah definitely
I can never find this game on the store
So its basically ps3 experience?
Only 3-7 W Power.., imagine Smartphones with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 (15W) 😮 i dont know why devs wont focus on mobile.
obv. because the steam deck has a active fan.... asmartphone doesnt.... how do you want to cool it on a small passive heat spreader??
@intelirisxe123 a niche product still. 98% of people dont want that and it wont become mainstream so no. It just adds a massive point of failure. Most people drop their Phone, a fan wont like that 1 bit.
Because mobile segment is overrun by simple games with microtransactions. There was a few tries to bring AAA to mobile smartphones, but this type of games “not work” on smartphones.
Verified 😂😂😂 they are funny really i Play this game and FPS drops was about 26 with everything low in settings. They should give US ps4 version
It’s verified because technically, game as a whole is working fine. Text is visible, controls working, no glitches. It’s not a Valve fault that it’s one of the most unoptimized ports.
But can't you get it to increase power usage using Windows as operating system?
Yeah but I'm running stock, like most people. Only a small percentage will install windows anyway!
Epico🎉
you should not use the steam deck framerate limiter its bugged or something use the ingame limiter
My character is fall always wtf 😢😢
Sooooo save my money and still wait?
You say Steam Deck always uses 15W but your overlay says it's using +-21W of the battery?
display and other stuff
by ur logic, the ssd, ram, haptics, motherboard, and fans on the deck all magically run without electricity
I can’t get behind how steam thinks 30 fps and the most ugliest graphics is considered playable
Video #2 of asking kryzzp to review the r5 240
27 fps na i dont know im look at this on cd keys right
I dont get it spiderman runs at 40fps
Still not enough.
We need Steam Deck Pro or something like that
Preferably at the same price tho 😅
It’s not a steam deck problem - the whole “the last of us” port is a highly unoptimized game. It was exclusively written for PS3 Cell processor and porting it to PC was a hard task.
@@andrzejos7003 But this isn't the same as PS3 version, it's enterily a new game.
it is more fps than ps3
@@73d_th3_Master_Of_Shadows easy fix: dont use the steam deck limiter only use the ingame limiter. the refresh rate limiter doesnt give input lag
bro please play rdr 2 in rx 6600(nono xt)
I love having asus rog ally, anything steam deck can do, asus rolly can do better XD
You’re right, you can play everything only for an hour 🙂
I dunno why steam keeps putting the playstation excluvies as verified since theif ports suck. God of war still has that memory leak that causes crashing. Horizon stutters. Last of us had a terrible launch.
people still play this game? id expect everyone to wait like 2years or more for a proper fix and a huge discount to like $10
This is why I won't buy a steamdeck. It should have been able to play every game that is on steam that came out before it but it's so limited in what will play. It makes no sense that a steamdeck is having trouble playing a game that is on steam.
The last of us port is a highly unoptimized game. It’s not a steam deck fault, it barely run on many PC’s.
Bro pls test gtx 1070 pls
Past the giraffe others got a stable 30, but you got less, weird
I'm on the latest version of everything
@@zWORMzGaming I noticed your flashlight was turned on. I think that could be why. Extra lights and shadows are being calculated.
This is everything wrong with the steam verified status! If seen so much garbage getting the verified status.. and stuff that works perfectly fine but you need do 1 thing at the first startup doesn’t.. I can’t take it seriously anymore.. they are harming their own quality seal! Then again.. i love the steam deck! But the deck is for older games or small games.. if you want to play more recent aaa games or bigger games you better buy the rog ally! Because that thing kills the steam deck on that part.
IF a game works at 30 fps, lock it to 30.
My thinking is that if it's at 60, it will skip frames because it's trying to get the more than the game is giving, leaving dead frames every other frame.
