The comparison chart seems deceptive. Aputure are using the values from the 672W here, but listing the 672S. The S was dramatically brighter because the beam angle was so narrow - useful for those of us who bounced it or use shoot-through umbrellas. The older 672S is actually rated as brighter than both the new models, albeit with this narrow beam.
I pre-ordered two P60x's. Got them. They are great lights. But one has a defective mounting bracket - which I reported to customer service at Aputure immediately. Weeks later, here I am still waiting on someone to respond. I've been forced to shop on Amazon for "similar" hardware so that I can try to use this light. This is a big FAIL for Aputure.... how difficult is simple communication?
@@aputurelighting I did. Got a canned response to provide a ton of info already provided. We have now greatly exceeded my time value benefit potential here. I'm out. "F" for FAIL goes to Aputure support.
Was so exited about my p60x and now a month into ownership the Bluetooth function has stopped working and just says connection failed when I try to reconnect!
A cob 60x/c/d with Bowens mount and barn doors would be even more compact. A kit of 3 in a single bag would be nice. A compact bag for 3 fixtures and 3 stands, as GVM offers, would be awesome.
We would recommend a lightweight aluminum baby stand similar to this - doddcamera.com/aputure-compact-light-stand-x3.html - a 5/8" mounting stud can also come in handy!
20:26 Hello, can you provide LUX value at minimum 1% brightness? I need to know - my eyes will strain or not for this powerful light when I will Streming from 2 meters
I definitely would like to upgrade my 3x (beloved) AL-M9 and my old reliable (constantly swapping AA batteries in) Neewer CN-126.. I mostly use my AL-M9 on my Smatree Baseball Hat when I walk around vlogging with my Panasonic G9. I need something for my corona livestreaming studio as well as something new for my Hat 😀 What should I get?
Been thinking of putting an AL-MX on my hat since I filmed this interview with Aputure pre-corona th-cam.com/video/xaqzZhPnEK4/w-d-xo.html may consider doing that unless something better's come out and that may be suitable for my hat 😀
Just got two p60c units. Both are giving me 4000lux at 1m, 5600k. Far away from the 5900lux Aputure has promissed. The store did the test too and got the same results as I did. Anyone else have tested the new units from this month?
No where near the battery life either. I tested with 5 different sets of 970's and I'm not more than 12minutes with a set. Charging the batteries isn't working either. The display shows it's working but it turns off a few seconds and stops charging. SUPER DISAPPOINTED with this light.
@@BrandonTalbot I share the feeling, bro. I'll test the battery life here and see if it's the same as yours. I'm in contact with Aputure's representative but I don't think it will help. They're just saying things like "but the light is great" and "our tests are awesome", bla bla
Can someone please tell me how I'm supposed to gel a 100d with a softbox? Can't imagine how quick one would melt infront of a 200d. Let alone these new lights. How would you gel these?
@@marcbuchsenmeister713 They melt in front of these. I've tested it with my latern and 100d. At full power output and a gel attached the inner mount of the lantern, the gel starts to crinkle and deform before it discolors. Its maybe ~ 1.5" from the bulb. I wish I could get tungsten without losing output going with the X models, or BETTER YET waiting for them to restock.
@@usernamehandle never put gels to close to the cob or an HMI bulp. You need at least 5 to 10 inches of distance, like if you gel the barn doors of a 4k HMI (Arri M40) you have about 10-12 inches of distance between the gel and the bulb and it helps if u make a small cut in the middle of the gel so the heat can escape.
@@HodenMc Oh my god, THANK YOU. I literally can't find information like this anywhere. So sounds like its essentially impossible to gel the amaran series lights with the latern attachment. Since I can't get that deep inside the attachment. Guess I should've gone bi-color. Or maybe I can use barndoors to create space and then just bounce that off something instead of using the latern... either way, thanks for that rule.
Light tubes and a light mat would be absolutely fantastic for y'all to do next
They definitely don't have the manufacturing power to compete with litegear
Yah it would 😜
Agree light tubes would be amazing - can’t believe how cheap the 60ds are, I just got a LS model and it was over double the cost haha *facepalm*
I absolutely agree.
I guess there will be soon!
I bought a pair of p60c's and they still blow my mind every time I turn them on. The output compared to their size is exceptional.
So glad you're enjoying!
Great product lines. I own 6 lighting devices. Really has added to the production value of our work.
Aputure…complete market disrupters! Absolutely love them. Bringing pro grade lighting to the masses. Thank you. Now design some tubes please??..
Wonder how much weight COB 60d/x could hold in terms of not breaking the light with a too heavy softbox. Is there any maximum allowed weight?

Now ya’ll need to make a light mat, a 500 watt amaran D/T light, and light tubes…
we need a light mat!!
a flat / rollable mat light w rgbww would be handy
combined w the sidus app
I have to agree, my friend! :)
rollable might be a stretch, but i think it will be something like the nova 300 but in a smaller form factor, like a 100 or 150w rgww pannel :)
Looks great

The COB 60x is a game changer… would you recommend pairing with the Mini 2 softbox for the smallest form factor?
We would!
Love the aputure eco system. Heck if y’all start making light stands I’d buy them too lol
Wow, fantastic! Really fan of the old amaran, so fast to setup..Now with sidus link and RGB count on me to have 3 in my set!
I have the three different models of the 672, they took me a long way! But this p60c is a wet dream
This is my first time buying a light. Which stand should I buy to use with my new P60c? I’m only gonna use it indoors and I’m looking for a light one.
