A while back during a debate on the House floor he presented facts about DT. A member from the (R) moved his words be struck, which they were. McGovern knows parliamentary procedure and made an inquiry forcing the House Clerk to read the offending struck words. Result: McGovern's original speech struck, the same struck words read into the record to remain for all of history.

Here in Australia we have the Australian Electoral Commission. It is a body independant from parliament so that our elections can be free and fair and ensure that there is not any voter fraud. We protect our democracy with so many independant regulators such as the AEC because we know that politicians are human and can be corrupted.

Large portions of the population seem to have been groomed to approach politics as a game, rather than a methodology of identifying things that make life difficult, finding a way to describe them and agreeing upon an approach to rectification.
