Best that I can tell, this is what I think he's saying. It's kind of a mixture of different verions of the original song/poem, took me a while to track them down and figure out what he sings lol. “Well met, well met.” said one true love “Well met, well met.” said he “I've heard you once married to a house carpenter Your love might never be me And I would marry the king's daughter, fair If she would marry me But I have forsaken all the silver and the jewels it was all for the love of thee So will you forsake your house carpenter And come along with me I'll take you to where the grass meets the green On the banks of river deep But your love can never be mine”
There are no words that can describe this experience. They didn't play this song live when I saw them acoustically and it's probably good that they didn't. I'm not a fan of having an emotional breakdown in public.

Your Love will never be mine and it hurts every time I think about it 😭
One of the most underrated bands.
I've seen them twice, once acoustic and once electric. They are awesome. especially acoustic. The emotion he puts out is awesome.
This band was so awesome!
Still one of my fsvorite versions of this song ❤❤❤
These men are artists.
This band brings the word artist to a whole new level!
I love how old their songs are and they sing them with the emotion of yesterday...
Gives me chills. No other words to describe it.

Your love might never be me
And I would marry the king's daughter, fair
If she would marry me
But I have forsaken all the silver and the jewels
it was all for the love of thee
So will you forsake your house carpenter
And come along with me
I'll take you to where the grass meets the green
On the banks of river deep
But your love can never be mine”
Is it your love might never be ME or MINE?
