I'm from NA, but man, 2019 G2 was truly special. I don't think we will ever see a western team at this level again. I really believe it was a perfect mixture of coaching, individual player skill, mental fortitude, confidence, and team chemistry.

Watching this iteration of G2 play has been the most fun I've ever had watching competitive league. For that I'm really grateful, but I wish this team will not be the least EU team to make me dream.
i think the biggest part for me is not that they played insanely good and still had great personalities but that they played like when i am playing with friends (in voicecomms without their shotcalling etc) and them just having fun in the games this combined with the rest is what made them so strong this is why we fans love them
as a fnatic fan i respect that. wunder and fnatic fans and g2 and g2 fans have a weird dynamic. it will be interesting to see how things turn out and if the team will work at all.

Shame that Riot changed the game to put stuff like Dragon soul and champs like Aphelios and Viego the tactical and macro moves that G2 were doing against SKT (and other) to come back and win games are not even possible anymore. And don't get me start on the voice comms.

Honestly, it's why I ever bothered watching pro play/worlds around that time. Their team dynamic got me hooked and after they split up I kinda started not caring about pro play again. Now I just watch their streams.
Wow this reminded me of the G2 haydays of 2019. When everyone was among one of the best, if not the best in their roles and was prime contender for worlds. So sad to see them blow up like this... But the year is 2021. Not 2019. 2 years in esports is a long ass time and Wunder has served his purpose. G2 as a team is nothing but a shade of the past, a distance memory that should never be forgotten BUT they are not half of that at the moment. Sometimes it's just tough to let it go... Maybe too tough for many G2 fans but moving on is always the correct option.
What is most impressive for me, is the oposition in this plays, it is not soloq shit, its world semis, msi, play off finals vs DAMWON SKT and FNC. Adam aint bad, but there is a lot to learn still from Wunder.

Even 2018 with Wunder he took down RNG in one of the biggest upsets in worlds history given they had a Heimer 1 trick bot. Perks was buffing Wunder . 2021 he got Mr. I am sorry my bad in the team . I don't care how good is Rekkles as a player his mentality is really trash . Look at Doinb mechanics he should never had win worlds but he had the mental and empowered his team to do so .
