There were even rumors that she was going to have her own TV show but it never happened. I recommend deep diving into her story it's really interesting.
@@SyfoMan It's certainly a strange case. Kind of impressive how one person can have so many crazy things come back to her. Granted, this video more or less satiates my curiosity. Thanks for the other information though! Interesting to think of what a TV show about her would have looked like.
It’s definitely the doctors fault, he’s the one in the position to allow this to happen. She literally just wanted twins and she obviously would have been able to take care of them fine if the 8 weren’t neglected and grew up healthy. The media wants to talk about if she’s raising her kids right but none of them would give anything to the kids that would actually mean things.
I still think it’s a miracle that all the kids are both alive and healthy. Even in most triplet cases, which are three times smaller than this, at least one of the children either die before, during or shortly after pregnancy, and if not there will almost always be some underlying health issues. She should be truely thankful that the pregnancy was a success, even if it left heaps of scars.

@@yunasatari4041 "government money is barely enough to live off of" So you see, he implies it IS enough to live off of. And that's all you should get, and maybe not even that much. Whatever happened to living with family, and taking responsibility for your own life? Once you're on that sweet, sweet, government teat, why bother getting off of it? You've already shown you can be bought and sold for a relatively low price, so all some corrupt politician has to do is keep promising more and more, and regardless of what else they may stand for, you'll still trudge your poor ass to the polling areas, and vote for them. And that is what is wrong with America at this very moment, among very many other things. We've lost our ability to do things for ourselves, since so many people depend on their wittle handouts for at least 2 generations at this point, they can't even imagine living without them. And how do you define "can't work"? How many people are there like that? How much of this country is utterly unemployable? is it as much as the size our entitlement programs imply? It shouldn't be more than 3 or 4%. Or are a great many of them just scamming the government to get free money, like many of the cases I've had to review? Of course, I don't expect you or anyone else to read any of this, but you can't just go "Derrrrr, SomE PeOpLE CaN'T WorK", and expect that simple sentence to actually solve anything. Find out why they can't work. And then find some way to make them useful to society, instead of enabling their invalid status. It's sick.
I dunno how to feel about this, my grandparents had 10 kids, my grandmother was very sweet and a pushover, my grandfather was relentlessly physically abusive, and my grandmother died when my mom was 5. Any story that doesn't involve having to wear something to cover your bruises to church or you parent being fine with you owning one pair of underwear I have trouble labeling as abusive. I suppose having a whole mess of kids as a single person with no income is not really a great idea obviously. Medically either (though it is amazing). But she does her best to feed em and care for them and is pretty obviously not beating them uncoscious to keep them lot of them in line. I doubt it was for money. Who goes I need money, let me change half a dozen diapers or more by myself? Good god, I hope her peripheral neuropathy doesn't make everything tingle. That is the worst. Nobody there to help her, don't know how she does it. I would be overwelmed before they even came, with somebody there for me.
Damn it's almost like you shouldn't have children if you don't already have a stable living situation, let alone *twelve of 'em.* Seriously, I never knew she had 4 kids before this. Blows my mind.
I think she just got caught up in something that sounded way better than it actually was. She wanted a large family and lots of kids but wasnt prepared to deal with the consequences of it.

It always seemed to me that she had some unhealthy obsession with having lots of kids, regardless of whether or not she could afford to take care of them. She already had six by the time the doctor implanted the embryos. I can certainly believe that she likely pressured him to implant as many as he could, and he irresponsibly obliged. Given how poor her judgment seemed from this, it's surprising to see that she's somehow managed to take care of her kids. But I have to wonder what sorts of dysfunction their family has, given that she's had 14 kids.
I feel bad for these kids. This selfish woman was just thinking of herself and her own personal desires. She clearly didn’t have the best interest of the children in mind
God I feel so badly for her children. Having to live with such a terrible mom who put them here, living with a pornstar as a mother. And living in such a sucky situation. Even just 6 children is a lot. That must suck.
After Octomom gave birth to her kids she bought a house in La Habra, CA which is my hometown. I used to have to run around the community for my high school athletics and when we passed by her house and saw her outside, myself and the rest of the team would always say "Hi" to her.
I feel bad for her to a degree. However this decision of having so many children is absolutely irresponsible and selfish. She should’ve waited until she was well off to begin with in order to have that many kids. And personally I would’ve sued the doctor ASAP.
I remember hearing about her and where she literally said there would be thousands of movies made about her two TV shows thousands of money and now she lives and swallow it's actually hilarious if you think about it
Honestly whatever she does i would never judge her she fight for her children and does whatever it takes to be able to raise and take care of them ! Its admirable by all means
I honestly can imagine a doctor doing this as an unethical experiment. History is full of stuff like that. And IVF isn’t going to work every time. You said her last baby before the octuplets was in 2006. Maybe she had lost a lot of babies and the doctor figured might as well shove all the eggs in at once and see what happens. And her being so desperate for more kids might’ve been game for it but not understood the risk. Obv that’s just a version I made up tho lol
I remember seeing the story on the news, but it wasn't treated as a big deal or anything. Just a public service announcement that a woman is pregnant with 8 kids and that was it. Never heard anything else of her again in the media. I'm glad I know the full story now, thank you👍
I remember my mom and I watching a documentary of her in when I was starting high school in 2009. And boy was it a shock. Can’t imagine having 14 kids in total. For me, having three kids is plenty.
Technically, she believed she was pregnant with seven children. During the c-section, they found the eighth. I really feel bad for her. I'm disabled and live off of welfare, while making small amounts of money sewing cosplay. The welfare fraud pisses me off, since I hardly make enough money for food every month. But having that many kids for the welfare money? One, welfare isn't going to cover all their needs. It just won't. Two, you gotta take care of all those kids- not exactly the high life. Sounds like malpractice mixed with mental illness. Poor lady. She seems like a genuinely good mother. I hope her kids are doing okay.
Throughout my grade school, when you finished reading enough books you could read the “fun” books. One of those like 4 books, was the guniness world record book. I remember reading some lady had 8 kids, I also remember one of them was named Brandon for some reason. They never said how awful this story was.
My question is how did she afford IVF treatment in the first place if she was jobless? IVF is expensive, usually requiring tens of thousands of dollars. I can almost guarantee that her "doctor" wasn't doing it for free. Her doctor was absolutely in the wrong here. If she was "forcing" him to insert 12 embryos, he could have just refused treatment.
Feeding 8 kids?? Dang it's difficult enough to feed two! Couldn't imagine the insanity I'd succumb to after 9pm and 8 different kids trying to sneak into the kitchen for a snack.

I mean, libertarians love both.
This is one of the most bizarre runs I've seen on Bitlife.
At least she really loved kids and probably treats them well, but this is just irresponsible, and negligent on the doctors behalf. Hell, he could have been taking advantage of her desire for lots of kids to do what he wanted. Maybe not.. but honestly it’s not like he could’ve been attacked for not giving her 12 fucking eggs...
I kind of feel bad for her. Just because she was irresponsible doesn’t mean she and her kids should suffer. The fact that social services didn’t find signs of neglect shows, she loved her kids and even kept them in hard time.
I’m glad she seems more okay now.
The doctors use her for data and took advantage of her desires.

So Octomom gave birth to eight children at once. So does that mean her children are the sextuplets from Osomatsu-san?
Sextuplets would be 6 children, not 8. Octuplets would be 8 twin children.
No but there is someone on TLC that had sextuplets.
@@thenew4559 two of them died LOL

Apu Nahamapeemapetsulon. Not even close, but still. Lol
Thats kinda the basis of the character. She was a parody of octomom.
I'd heard of her before, but never knew how extreme her case was. Wow!
Yeah, I hear about OctoMom from time to time. She also did some adult films as well, appeared on Howard Stern and a bunch of other TV appearances. She's like an internet oddity.
“Free Bitcoin” is a red flag in my book
yeah.... i don't know much about cryptocurrency or shit like that but that sounds sketchy as hell to me...
I don't know about the company but it seems it's just like any other rewards program except instead of air line miles or cash back you can get Bitcoin. Why would that be any more sketchy than any other similar programs?
You know Christmas and "THE Birthday" has to be tough on her wallet 🥴

@@YouaNumbahOneRacist um. That's a yikes. Not all people are capable of working.
@@yunasatari4041 "government money is barely enough to live off of"
So you see, he implies it IS enough to live off of.
It's sick.
14 children... she has 2 league of legends teams and a call of duty team.
She has a whole bedwars lobby
She has a football team with reserves.
It was only 2009? Octomom seems like it was much longer ago. God I remember that whole ordeal...
I couldn't imagine having that many kids, just 1 would be enough of a nightmare.
Octomom: "Yeah! my back, I broke my SPINAL!!"
Also Octomom: *jumps on trampoline*
Damn it's almost like you shouldn't have children if you don't already have a stable living situation, let alone *twelve of 'em.*
Seriously, I never knew she had 4 kids before this. Blows my mind.
I felt both uncomfortable and intrigued at the same time when watching this
it's just the vibe the video gives off. if he sounded more excited, it wouldn't be uncomfortable
I think she just got caught up in something that sounded way better than it actually was. She wanted a large family and lots of kids but wasnt prepared to deal with the consequences of it.
Is it just me or does anyone else have to cover their eyes when he shows the pictures of her weather balloon stomach that looks like its about to explode with alien life
She gave birth to eight children in one go... Welp, Octomom isn't gonna be hopping on her bike for a looooooong time after experiencing that.

I mean, she tried everything she could. She didn't just give away the children and tried to provide for them. It's actually amazing.
No matter how you feel about her, the way she was treated by the media is nothing short of horrific
She gave birth to more than a whole basketball team in one sitting.
I've never been so happy for a video to be interrupted by a sponsor.

Legendary use of stock footage.

Come on, GfM, was that the only pic you could find for „lots of eggs“? Well, it gets the message across.
I remember hearing about her and where she literally said there would be thousands of movies made about her two TV shows thousands of money and now she lives and swallow it's actually hilarious if you think about it
Yet another brilliant video.
I shake my head every time I hear about this case.
Honestly whatever she does i would never judge her she fight for her children and does whatever it takes to be able to raise and take care of them ! Its admirable by all means
The netflix adaptation of the loud house is looking great
haha good one
I'm glad I know the full story now, thank you👍
I don't understand why the world attacked her. I hope she and her 14 children are doing well and living a stable life today :(
@jasper426 thats 2 words

Oof
Wallet: Ms. Suleman, I don't feel so good...
I remember my mom and I watching a documentary of her in when I was starting high school in 2009. And boy was it a shock. Can’t imagine having 14 kids in total. For me, having three kids is plenty.
"And that was my opinion of the Octomom. Remember Octomom?"-Diane Nguyen
Who else somehow missed the OctoMom story when it happened?? (I was living in the Philippines at the time, so maybe that’s why).
I did and I'm in the (U.S). I probably saw a glimpse of her on T.V as a kid but IDK.
"dreamed of having a big family"

Throughout my grade school, when you finished reading enough books you could read the “fun” books. One of those like 4 books, was the guniness world record book. I remember reading some lady had 8 kids, I also remember one of them was named Brandon for some reason. They never said how awful this story was.
Saw a follow-up. Mom got help with her issues and she has raised some very cool kids.
