I love this formula of lipsticks sooo much, they just feel like silk on the lips. I think they should be called Silk lipsticks (sisters of Velvet lipsticks 🤣)

Also, I wish other make up you tube channels used lighting like you. I feel like I can see exactly the shades of various products. Too often, I’ll admire something and then when I pull up the product to order, it is different.
Sophia! Same! When I first started watching videos, I'd see a lip color I loved and would try it in store (remember those days?) and it was always SO much darker. I figured many people have the light quite high, making colors look lighter than they are. So when I took the dive and started my own channel, I wanted the colors to look as true as possible!
I got my first order ever with Painterly, Love of My Life, and Velvet Ribbon. No regrets. My bases are covered.

Painterly is absolutely gorgeous, I love how it's just a little bit different on everyone I've seen. I'm just waiting very patiently for the blushes to come back so I can grab Dante's Dream. I missed out on those entirely lol.

I like most of LE lipsticks. I got kitten mischief, a typical nude. I have loads of nude lipsticks and on the other end of the spectrum, lots of red, strangely enough. And yet I would not be confident enough to wear (bright) pinks, corals and oranges.
I am watching this in October of '21 and I have only just discovered Lisa Eldridge and now you! Unfortunately the blushes have all sold out but her new launch of more of her Velvet lipsticks is now here and I can't wait for my order to arrive. In the meantime I am enjoying learning so much from your videos about this brand. I am happy I found your channel (or that it found me!) You are very lovely to watch.

Very interesting review, you always talk about products with another perspective and dimension and I like that. I’ve got Kitten Mischief and I have to say that I’m a little disappointed as I feel I need more substance in my lips. It’s lovely but it rather feels like a luxurious lip balm and it doesn’t last at all on my lips. I’m actually using it as a topper over Velvet Affair and it looks gorgeous that way. But worn in itself I don’t know if I’m that enthusiastic, maybe the formula it’s not for me. I probably need to try a darker colour in that formula.
"Painterly" reminds me so much of "black honey" by Clinique, for those who know that shade.
Loved all colours on you, but painterly looks particularly nice ☺️ loved the review. Thorough as always. And I have the same problem with hair products, I do not know much about hair but I imagine that alcohol can not be good. If you ever fancy doing a hair video I’m here for it 😉
You're the FIRST person who answered this question! So at least both you and I find some heat protectants to be drying! I would consider doing a hair video, but what would you like to see me do??
I don't like heat protectant sprays. I think they dry and fry hair. I don't use anything like silicones, dimethecones, sulfates, parabens, or any stuff that coats the hair, because then moisture can never get to my strands. I do use a clean smoothing cream, sometimes before a blow dry. I also don't use a lot of heat on my hair. I keep it pretty low while drying. I mostly let my hair air dry unless I have something going on. Less is more.
Lisa's 1st lipstick in lucent lip (love of my life) really disappointed me: when applying it did feel very buttery, but then in about an hour or less the color would accentuate all the wrinkles and would create dry patches. I hated it.
So I was very hesitant to purchase a new release of lipsticks of this formula. But I am very happy I did. The formula has definitely improved and works kind of like a balm on the lips with beautiful pigment. The colors are stunning!

I got the earrings on sale a few weeks ago at Saks Fifth Off - I'm not sure if they are branded. They may still be there!
It’s funny because from the website I didn’t think I was going to get some of the shades I got (Painterly, Dance Card, Rose Official, Songbird) and the second she put up the video I was absolutely sold. Also, absolutely there with you and not liking nudes, I can do reds, I can do berries, I can even do so-dark-it’s-almost-black but nudes defeat me to the point my “nude” used to be clear lip gloss. Now my nudes are all the beige, caramel shades Lisa has out, like Muse or Velvet Fawn or Affair.
Once we find the nude that works for us...it's like the floodgates open. I'm so glad you found the right tones for your skin!
