hello, I was wondering, what does it mean when the auctioneer says 28 tr 4? I'm trying to figure out the meaning of some of them.

They state the price per pound then the tr 4 .tr is the buyer 4 is the charge act so the 4 stands for the order number. With means cattle get charged to that particular buyer on that order and get penned accordingly

+Mao Thao I Believe its dollars/cents per pound, there is a monitor up top that isnt in the frame with the weight of the cow.

+Mao Thao Its .65 cents per pound. You take the weight times .65 and you equal the total price.

what's wrong with this Brahman she's better then Angus hereford charolais

    • @vicreece8681

+Bristol Bishop Bishop Depends on where you are. Up in Kansas, where Im from, we sort out the eared, big navaled or "humped" cattle because they dont do good where the Angus, Hereford and Charolais cattle suit us better

+Vic Reece there is a registered brahman farm in kansas long ago kansans were seeking eared cattle I don't see how angus survive in kansas because it gets dry and hot especially in central and south kansas unlike kansas in texas , Mo, Ar and Oklahoma we have fescue and brahman cattle handle the hot enviornment if I lived in kansas I would have brafords my friend talked to a kansas feedlot operator and he said eared calves grade better then english calves

Its the cold weather that drive many producers away from Brahman. Even though Brahman cattle do handle extreme heat well, they dont cope with the harsh winter turn around that many states north of Kansas have. Angus do so well is because they can grow a thick, winter, coat, which if they put on a thick, winter, coat they don't have to put as much energy into keeping warm. They can handle the hot, long summers too, within a reasonable amount, without much care and without giving up their good carcass qualities. Thats why cattle like Herefords, Angus, and Charolais do so well in the Midwest without having to suffer

This is why I hate angus because they aren't good cows you have to pamper them they don't milk good they are always in the pond or shade tree whenever there calves need feeding and they only last for 10 years . Angus bulls have a small ass there pussys .Brahman cattle are the common denominator crosses can go anywhere . I understand you want english breeds but we have to have brahman blood and if I don't have it I'm not happy . I live in arkansas not texas .
