Larry Kudlow did a radio financial show that I listened to regularly. One day he announced that this day’s show was going to be about spending your money as opposed to making it. He then made a profound statement that I never have forgotten: “Cemeteries are full of people with all of their money still in the bank!” The point being is making, saving, growing money is meaningless if you save it all the way to the grave. In addition to planning your savings, I firmly believe one should plan spending it. Some of it, not necessarily all of it.

Make me rich, no. But if God decided I need to live longer than I think I will (I’m 68) then it’ll be there for me to supplement income needed to continue to live my frugal but very happy life. Otherwise it goes to my two wonderful daughters, which is my plan. But God’s plan overrides anything I have in my head. Excellent and well thought out message.

My PMs are there to supplement my income, if needed, and if not will be passed on to my heirs. In either case, I sleep pretty well with
all the turmoil in the world going on around us. PMs are pretty good insurance against a lot of banking and financial problems.

I think using silver and gold as a way to save money has just in the past year and a half led me to save more money than I ever have over the same period of time. Since I got into metals, they’ve really taught me a ton financially speaking.

Was $450/oz at the time I coulda started. Even before I was 18 worked a job in summer that paid 500n change every two weeks. If only I had known those days 🤦🏻♂️

@@memyselfandnooneelse online. My lcs blows. Think they overcharged me deliberately. Only got 3-5oz in art bars but was $33/oz out the door. This was when silver was 24 or there abouts. Online lends to better deals. More flexibility in a sd bullion that Carrie’s millions of dollars in products and can afford a loss leader
What sucks for the people that made it late to the game is that with inflation and the cost of everything going up they're buying is going to be slowing down. You just have to be diligent in Saving and then try to do a buying schedule or do it when the dips are more than the premiums. My word of advice is just to have patience

After the computer outage, gold fell by 2.33% overnight...... silver followed at 3%.

My focus is less on the finite and more on the eternal. Regardless of what moves I make concerning the here and now....if I get it wrong about dieing and step into eternity unprepared, I am in big trouble. It is also really interesting how when my focus becomes more zeroed in on my relationship with God, the here and now becomes very dull and not as important or urgent. Further, if I can help give my children an eternal "inheritance", they will far more thankful than just the metals. Not really sure why I am sharing this, but there ya go. Appreciate the content as usual!
1 million dollars the year I graduated high school I would now need just shy of 2 million today. In another 27 years you'll probably need 10 million + so have fun chasing dollars. Savings in gold just make sense.

who were divorced and still working as probably not retiring until late in their 60s, if ever. Those still married to their original spouse were doing
much better, financially, and were on schedule to early retirement. Trading in a used car hurts financially but trading in a used spouse is pretty
much a financial disaster. Unfortunately, divorce is sometimes the only answer to a bad marriage. 😕

I tell people that you definitely won't "get rich" from precious metals... and as we know they are a hedge and a form of savings. But while you won't get rich from gold and silver, another thing you won't get is poor.

So many of the comments miss the point. Gold is a savings vehicle with an emotional kicker. You want to buy it, but once bought you don't want to sell it. If actually understood as savings rather than as SHTF / Zombie Apocalypse hoarding, the accumulated savings allow you to take advantage of financial opportunities that would not be possible had you not saved. The gold didn't make you a million, but you would not have been able to make the million had you not saved, and without the emotional attachment to gold you may not have been able to save enough to make the investments that did make the million.

Sold a tube of gold to help buy a rental thats income covered mortgage and taxes and once paid off, became passive income. That’s the American dream right there.
Have always told my long term GF(10years and marriage is what it is and while I love the concept, hate the oversight ) that I’d absolutely sell my PMs for property or dire emergencies. She makes the mistake that I’m spending my money on metals. I’m not really spending it, I’m converting it. I have saving account(S) and an IRA. I have cash set aside. PMs have become an auxiliary savings account, it’s something I won’t be a spendthrift with as my savings accounts would take that brunt first. Also, covers my rear as a prepper. What I’m prepping for…who knows, but I like to CYA.
Now, I just need to get the GF to watch some of these videos to fully understand. She somewhat gets it and I gift her silver each time and she loves it.

The real-estate play was right time (My guess is that anyone else that was in the market at that time got those gains... it's just money printing at the end of the day). The premiums on silver are what kill it (but I still love it and still stack it, just on those dips).
Agree on Ag as a Speculation...BTC & SOL going to accompany Au and Property as assets that appreciate over time.

Real estate rocks! Left the city for the suburbs 6 years ago for twice the amount of space and the house has almost doubled in value in that time…now if I could just get the kids to pick up their bath towels off of the floor.

You make a good argument for saving more and investing more. But all of this could have happened without gold and silver.
It takes time to accumulate 1 mil in assets, Gold is simply a way to make it happen, when the account is being used for other things, that's when Gold comes in. taking an opportunity when you couldn't if you didn't have the money. thanks for the stories. hopefully one day I'll trade my Gold for a house. then replace that Gold.

I have stopped buying physical silver and gold and just buying ETFs associated with the physical of both. Do you remember the premiums on both metals during the Covid collapse? With SLV, I don't have to go looking for a buyer. It's just more convenient to do an ETF. I would like to hear your opinion. Thanks

Subscriptions are rarely substantial as in you have something in your hand to show for your money.
New to the channel. How can I leverage my gold. To purchase more assets. I have 10k in gold.
The PM buying turns to an addiction and you spend all your money on them and end up not having money for much else most times. LoL In the end you're rich! I would sometimes scrape money from every corner of my budget for buying. Silver went to $22 and Gold over $2000 during covid, so I sold one ounce of gold and a monster box of silver buffalo's. I didn't even need the money. I went home with a bunch of cash feeling depressed. Later gold dropped to $1678. Silver stayed the same. Eventually I got over selling and feeling sorry for it by buying more and never making the selling mistake. If I ever need it I'll have it. If I don't need it maybe my wife and child someday. It's fun to make videos with and take photos you don't show anyone but your mother.

Gold & silver wasn’t designed to make you rich. It there to persevere your fund.
High premiums when purchasing, high premiums when selling. Better get into the SP500 and make real money.
If you have any experience or knowledge on the topic I'd like to hear you speak about swapping silver and platinum. Currently the ratio is about 33/1 which is the 2nd lowest it's ever been (or so I was told). I'm watching for silver to take a leap in price while platinum stays still thus increasing the difference between them even more and then swap some silver for platinum. Then wait for platinum to eventually return to its much higher normal price range as demand for it moves back before swapping it back again to silver (or maybe gold if the market suits).
I considered buying some Pt but asked myself a serious question first: What will Pt do for me that Au won't?". I could not think of a thing, so bought more Au. Pt is
not a monetary metal, historically. Is it a Tier 1 asset? Maybe, but I have not read that it is. It is valuable but who knows if it will ever reclaim its previous high price?

Will PMs make us rich? Perhaps, but there's no guarantee of that happening. People who know me personally think that I am rich but I don't think of myself as rich.
I think of myself as financially independent and slightly wealthy. I am comfortably retired and living the dream but not anyone who has to buy an exotic car, a giant
house or multiple houses, or who dines at fine restaurants. My needs and tastes are simple. I retired at age 55 because I could and because I had earned enough
to do so. I did not see an ever growing pile of wealth as a life accomplishment. Having enough was all I ever wanted and got. Will PMs make me a millionaire?
No, already got there via the stock market, some shrewd investments, and a LOT of luck via the great bull market of 1981-2001.

For me, silver and goldbacks are for trading to get milk and eggs. Gold is a savings and insurance policy.
I wonder if you buy and sell coins to a dealer instead of keeping them is it worth buying second hand coins instead of new coins.

Bought and sold new and second hand, dealers base it on spot so if coins are in weight it makes little difference.

Gold and Silver will never make anyone "rich" but what they WILL do is keep the walls of your financial fortress strong and buttressed. Within those walls you have a several of ways to build the wealth to become "rich" for instance real estate, stocks, bonds, options etc. etc. etc. (productive assets). However the Gold and Silver will provide an outlet for "fixing" a mistake or harnessing the power of a hard asset in the face of ever present inflation. That is all, nothing else. Gold and Silver do work in the face of inflation and/or the debasement (black swan, government intervention etc.) of the fiat in your pocket. A very easy example is imagine you owned 1000 ounces of Silver or 10 ounces of Gold on Jan 1, 2000 and you suddenly needed it today...those financial walls are obvious while if you had that same financial fortress in equivalent fiat then you lost quite a bit unless you added to the fiat over time to keep an equivalent amount to the Dollars "value on Jan 1, 2000.
Can someone in this community guide us in a talk with our children about these shiny things? I buy it because I’m afraid my money in the bank might not be a great idea for my situation… but I really don’t think telling my daughter this might go over her head. ❤
