Thank you - your instructions were very helpful. We just finished this job! It took my wife and I exactly three hours. Here is our post-mortem. We avoided having to remove the entire Water Shield, and were able to lift up just the lower half and access everything. We also were able to avoid removing the latch and window guide. We were replacing the front passenger exterior handle. Not having a small ratchet to fit in the tight space was a problem, but we improvised a small Vise grip holding onto the 5/16 socket perpendicularly. Another hassle was with the retaining clips, we fortunately had purchased a kit of assorted retaining Clips to replace the ones I mangled!

Thank you for the great instructional video. I did run into one issue that I think others can avoid with this suggestion: Before you reinstall the water shield test that your window goes down all the way smoothly. I didn't and discovered that at about 60% open my window now slowed down almost to a stop and had a lot of trouble getting all the way down and then back up. I had to take off the panel and water shield again and re-adjust the metal and rubber window guide.

Good video as always Guys thanks. One thing for us poor sods in the UK whose cars suffer with the elements and naff salty road grit, the interior glass support does not slide down after loosening the bolts - Rust! the rubber becomes held fast so use a slim trim tool or wide flat screwdriver slide up from underneath between the rubber and metal support frame to free it. I was pulling and levering through the holes for quarter of an hour before the light dawned!!

I watched the video on replacing the rear passenger door handle on an 05 Chrysler 300c. It was big help. I am trying to put the window guide back in and it seems to be stopped by a rubber strip. This causes the top screw not to drop into its slot. I am unsure where this rubber strip goes. It looks like it might be for the glass to slide through. Does it fit into the metal window guide track. The video does not show it in the replacement. Any help is appreciated.

Your videos helped my chrysler couple times already, could you please tell me, if I want to replace that interior door chrome accent(near door handle), do I need to remove door panel first or can I take it out just using those plastic tools for removing trims?
+Celeste Levi Thanks for watching! That piece of trim is most likely a pop-in piece that can be pried off. You just want to make sure you do not have to release any sort of clip that is on the other side of the door panel. 1aauto.com

How to adjust the handle with wire I push the handle very hard so can open the door the wire adjustment

7:33 I guess they drilled the holes different in my 06 oddly, bc there’s absolutely no way I could use an extension and take those two screws out bc the hole in the door isn’t even close to lining up like that I had to do it inside the door

Thanks for this vid. Instead of removing the door latch all the way out, u can just remove the 3 t30 bolts. Move th door latch down out of the way just a bit and you can access all 3 bolts to remove the door handle.
Might be possible to just do that instead of going through all the steps in the video but I'm not sure because I was following along step by step as this was my first time doing this job.
I viewed several videos before I attempted to RR rear driver side door handle and this one was the best by far. I had previously replaced the driver door handle without too many problems but the rear seemed a lot harder. My only suggestion would be to spend more time on removing and replacing the three latch rods and also provide a diagram with the electric lock and latch assembly showing the rods with the color retainers. It appears some type of small camera was used to show the interior of the door where the lock and latch assembly is located..which is great but when trying to determine how to re-attach the rods and retainers, it was hard for me. I also had a problem with the rubber window guide getting in the way of re-installing the assembly but then realized it was easier to do it from the lower hole first then grab it from the upper to put it in place. It would also be helpful to be advised of all the wrong way to reconnect the rods so they could be avoided. Maybe it's just my lack of mechanical aptitude that caused problems...but finally got it done with no extra parts. I did somehow lose the rubber piece that goes next to the electric assembly..probably fell down inside the door never to be found. Would like to know if this rubber part is critical and the purpose.

Everything worked, but I have a huge problem and need to know if there's a solution. I closed the door to test everything, and apparently I must have forgotten to hook up one of the latch rods and now the door is stuck closed. Can anyone help?

I got in FINALLY! I was able to hit the child safety switch. Now i can open the door, but only from the inside
You 100 % do not need to do all that to get the handle out
What do I do if my door won’t open from the inside now 😕
+Marina Sippola We would suggest go back and double check to make sure everything is connected properly and a latch was not dropped into the panel.
You probably just need to un engage the child protection lock On the inside of your door
Don’t overcomplicate things… After you remove the window guide just loosen the door latch and you can access all 3 bolts and remove the handle…
Just did mine and I'm a girl so easy
If your door is stuck closed like many chrysler 300s this wont help you changce the handle to get it open
You skipped over the tool to pop off the white trim clips
I got it all put back together and my inside door handle won't open the door now. What happened??

breezy johnson is the rod, he doesn't say which end goes in first. Might have put it in back words and it popped off
Had the same problem then realize the child lock got set when I bolted the latch assembly with the torx screws. It would not go back down. I went back to loosen it up and locked the doors before I put it back in place. Double checked to make sure I could lock and unlock the child lock. That worked for me.
u went a little to far lol, u dont have to remove the whole door lock/latch assembly.
