I am a light skin black girl - dark autumn. I thought I had a problem because some pastels look good on me but now I understand that it's because I'm neutral. Gold looks stunning on me and silver looks fine

Thank you! It’s so confusing for me as I am so mixed. I have light olive skin that can tan deeply. I was born white haired green eyed and looked like my Germanic Irish side but now I’m dark haired and look more like my Iberian side. Struggling to find colors and makeup as I change from winter to summer. Thank you.
So deep autumns can wear any color!
You can wear any color, but you will look your best in the right color choice according to your season, body shape, Metal selection, and undertone. For example, I prefer coral pinks to pastel baby pink, or a creamy ecru than a true icy white. Black is reserved only for pants or small patterns, and best given to Summers or Winters. Try using a charcoal brown, kombu green, beige or gray taupe as a neutral for balance. If using a warm pastel pink, I tend to wear with a sage green or a darker olive green for a warm and muted contrast. Coral is bold and strong, so using it with a dark teal might make a stronger and balanced impact. I avoid neons except orange or coral red. Navy blues should be warmer, to the green side, and not so blue-black. Men have few to no curves, and have it a bit easier than women. However, men benefit from color knowledge to avoid looking like Popeye, buff on the top and skinny on the bottom. Color can help block or blend unwanted colors and can improve your overall mood too!🎉

I was stuck between dark Winter and dark autumn and today I got a color analysis and was told being a dark autumn
Just so you know, you can still be a Dark Winter depending on your skin tones during the year. So you can be both types, depending on your features and how much they change.
Same i dont look good in gold,i prefer silver but im a dark autumn.pretty confusing tbh
Just when I think I am dark autumn since I have a warm yellow/golden undertone, I have very black hair and eyes with no warmness. Would I still be a dark autumn with a strong contrast?

I am pretty sure I'm an autumn neutral-ish coloring. I'm light skinned but tan fairly easily, I have a moderate contrast between my eyes, skin and hair. All of this is still so confusing 😅

I think I'm the same. I used to think I'm deep winter. Turns out icy winter colors are not good on me and I'm probably neutral leaning deep autumn. I can wear some darker deep winter colors. It's best to try on different colors and take pictures in the same lighting. It made things clearer for me!

You may be a dark autumn. DA can have black hair, esp if POC.
The examples of eye and skin colour are perfect on me, but my hair colour doesn’t match the example.. Can a dark autumn have neutral/warm dark blonde hair?
yes, you can have dark blonde hair as well ;) it's not that it's a 100% rule, so yes, you can definitely relate to that seasonal type.
I'm confused between warm autumn & dark autumn
The most important thing you have already discovered which is a type of the season.
So your Autumn season may transition left and right depending on the actual season, climate and skin color change. Just observe your appearance during different seasons and whether there is a visible change. For example, summer vs winter.
@@FilosoFashion I was having the same problem cause sometimes I look better in silver than gold n vice versa. But during the summer I do tan more but during winter I seem to have a cooler tone. Does that mean during the summer I should go for deep autumn and for colder seasons deep winter?
@@lalagirl7890 if your looks change that means you are a "in transition" type. Your color palette will be richer than just 1 seasonal palette, as you might share all 3 Autumn color palettes depending on the time of the year and how your looks change. If you change tremendously you can even share colors that are on the opposite side of the Autumn.color palette. So, yes, you can share Autumn and Autumn palette that sits closer to WInter and some of the pure Winter colors during the year like during summer you can use gold and during winter - silver, etc). ;)
But what I do I wear if im dark autum but have gray hair?
Hi. You can try some lighter colors in the DA palette or you could also try some colors from the true autumn or soft autumn palette. Some analysts say that as we age, we may become more muted/ softer.
I really wish you included more examples other than Jessica Alba, who is an obvious, no-brainer dark autumn. There is a vast gradient of dark autumns from very pale, yellowish, neutral, to dark skinned. Though this video was informative, its not very helpful for those who need distinct visual examples considering dark autumn and dark winter being incredibly similar on the polar ends of the gradient scale

Wow. I'm torn between deep winter and deep autumn with neutral leaning skin tone. This makes sense for why some cool pastels look good on me

For a moment I thought I was a winter, but some of the recommendations are way too bright for me. I'll try this palette and I am confident since I already see some of my favorite colors in it.
You can drape yourself with the colors that differ from both seasons. Then you can see where you fall. That was done to me in my analysis.
After reaching the conclusion that I was deep and neutral, she had to see what season I was. She took a yellow that is found in dark winter, but not in deep autumn, and draped it... there we saw that it didn't go well with me. She also tested other colors, reaching the conclusion that I am a Dark Autumn.

I’m deep autumn but love wearing black, can I make it work or is it too dark for me?
You can wear black as long as it doesn't weigh your overall look down (especially face). If you notice that harsh black makes you look tired (especially in the facial zone) it's better to substitute the color for (dark or navy blue, dark brown, etc.).

Wear a softer black like black brown, dark brown
You can definitely make it work.
Dark autumn's are the only autumn's that can wear black so long as it's warm enough and doesn't drown you out.
Warm and soft autumn's may need to use the darkest shades of brown or navy to substitute

I have blue eyes but have been analyzed as a deep autumn 🍂
Every rule has an exception, you might be a deep autumn ;)
You may have brown golden specks in your eyes, or you may have a starburst in your eyes, or speckling in your eyes.
Or your analysis is wrong. Sometimes color analysts can be wrong.

What kind of red lipsticks should warm autumn choose? Should it be cherry red or deep burgundy tones ?

I've been trying to find out what my brother is, I think he is a dark autumn. He has warm skin and really dark brown hair. His hair and skin creates a pretty high contrast. The only problem is he has blue eyes which isn't common for dark autumns. I will also say they are a more warm faded blue. Can you be a dark autumn and have light eyes?
I also have the same problem with myself. My skin is undeniably cool but I have warm green/hazel eyes and auburn hair. I'm not particularly dark/light or vibrant/muted. I honestly have no idea what season I am. Should I say I'm cool and go with my skin or warm and go with my hair and eyes?
No, dark autumn only has dark brown eyes like the mentioned Jessica Alba. The type can be identified with certainty by the eyes. I would like to see the genius who would recognize it by the skin. 😉
@@victoriamarie5664 In my opinion, the untrained eye can't tell anything by skin. Warm spring and autumn often have very white skin and people mistakenly believe that it is cold.

You don't have to be Autumn because you're brown. You could be something else.
You could have a cool tone to your skin.
