Dark autumn. Which is great since Autumn is my favorite season and I've always known that burnt orange, mustard yellow, gold and varying shades of brown suits me the best.
Figuring out I was a true autumn was such a game changer. Autumn is also my favorite season in general and favorite for fashion. You have so much flexibility with layering and can wear many different things because it's chilly but not freezing cold.
I’m a dark Autumn similar to Eva Longoria! I was mistyped to be a winter when I’ve always thought that bright cool tones like cardinal red were hideous on me lol and my wardrobe screamed otherwise bc I’m drawn to olive greens, dusty blues, and the dark Autumn color palette. I was skeptical because of the misinformation and I’m glad I took the time to do more research and stumbled upon your video!

I had the same experience. When I was younger a friend typed me as winter too. Because I look good in charcoal grey, navy and burgandy but I'm definitely warm! Hot pink and bright colors are a big no for me.
You should try on some pastel pinks for shits and giggles. It made me look like I was about to pass out and my friend had a very good, long laugh about it 😁

True autumn colors didn't look quite right on them, which was confusing. Warm-black hair sprinkled with sparkling white strands, intense deep brown to warm-black eyes, golden-hued skin, dark feature harmony: a true Dark Autumn. When we walk beside one another, we get a lot of compliments on our style and the way we complement each other - apparently, a Bright Winter/Dark Autumn couple dressing to their color strengths is a sight to behold. This sealed the deal for me. I knew I was either a soft or true autumn but lean towards soft. What helped was the hair colors. My hair is an off black but in the sunlight you can see it’s ashy golden undertones. It’s not like a vivid bright golden undertone it’s very ashy. I look best with muted colors. Even my face looks very muted. Thank you!
Finally, I will be able to successfully match the colors for my skin tone! I think I am soft autumn. I was always struggling between colours that suited spring and autumn, but now that I finally know which type I'm suited for I hope my shopping will become easier and more satisfactory, since less errors will be maken 😊
I was typed in the 80s ( when I was in my 20s) by Beauty for All Seasons as a Contrasting Autumn Panache. I believe my skintone is fairly neutral with a more pronounced pink Overtone (which is never discussed enough). My eyes are a blue/green/grey and as a child I had blond hair up until 6 years old then a lot of red and gold as my hair turned medium brown. Now in my 60s, I think I suit Soft Autumn much better.
I’m a dark autumn naturally but have dyed my hair (and brows) a natural-looking medium ginger color for the last 2 years, which falsely gives me the appearance of true autumn. I think I am somewhere in between the two. I’m definitely warm. I have dark brown hair and medium unclear hazel/green eyes, but my skin is quite bright and that brightness radiates through. I wear both color palettes extremely well and my essence is much more aligned with a true autumn. I think that’s what allows me to hybrid the two as well as I do. I think people often forget to add personality and the way we carry our traits to the equation as well. Doesn’t mean that I’m not primarily a dark autumn based off of traits, but I can start shifting towards true autumn depending on the season (spring or summer, when radiance and warmth become my primary and the first thing you notice rather than my dark hair) and with my personality… which is quite bright.

I also determined that I was an autumn with the CMB book. This confirms what my experience wearing the autumn palette told me - I am a true autumn. When I'm in my best seasonal colors, I feel my best, my true self.
Soft autumn also has dark colors, muted. Autumn is a season with muted and rich, like the Fall season has. S.A. is a neutral season only leaning slightly warm. S.A. has a touch of Soft Summer. I'm a Smokey Soft Autumn.

I am dark autumn by description, as my eyes are almost black and black-ish hair + warm undertone. [Asian living in northern region] Not sure about suggestive colors, need to look into that more. But you make me realize about something: I have this nice blue cardigan, that i wasn't wearing much, i think I know why now. Great video! I will say though that a majority of the women you featured are women of color, and none of them had their natural hair color, except for Halle. They all (except for Halle) had either dyed hair or wigs. 🙂

Several times in the video, you said winter instead of autumn. It was apparent what you meant, but it was a little distracting--just something to note for future videos.
Beyoncé’s natural hair color is the darkest brown which appears black in low light. But she dyes it the golden brown color and wears extensions. So should we be matching our natural colors or the altered appearance. Also, wouldn’t Beyoncé be a true dark autumn because her hair is naturally dark?

I was another of those ladies that was mistyped as a winter in the 80s, as I did not have red hair or a warm glow to the skin, but had a lot of contrast between dark hair and eyes and pale skin, so typed as a winter! I looked awful in those colours. I was redone in the nineties, when autumn was split into three groups and came out a deep autumn, I wore those colours for years. Now older and mostly grey under the hair dye, I was redone as a warm autumn, going towards a soft autumn with age. Orange is still one of my best colours and can go as pale as soft peach, but brown has always made my skin look sallow, the analyst said because I am neutral ivory skintoned, I need brighter, warmer colour than brown, which is a bit dull on me. I still have olive green eyes and warm greens are my favourite, but I can wear camel now (as my hair is lighter warm brown) which was always too pale on me as a deep autumn.

I am very confused about my season. My eyes fits the true autumn with olive eyes with freckles and my hair colour fits true spring - but I have cool undertones? Love the video 💜
I cant decide whether I am dark autumn or true autumn - I am of mixed ethnicity so it makes it quite difficult to tell. I would say my mother is a true winter, where as my father would be a true autumn. I have dark brown eyes which are slightly warm (maybe even redish tones). My skin has definitely yellow tones but im very fair. My hair is bark brown with redish and golden tints. I have been told that I have a neutral skin tone - overall rich colours look better on me (rich reds, greens, browns).
True autumn fits me perfectly in every way, however my eyes are none of these colors, they are turquoise, so a greenish blue. Since everything else is spot on about true autumn, just wanna add that this is also possible. This video did help me elliminate the other two autumns though. 👍 interesting stuff. Also I love that you include different ethnicities.
Me too. I have blue grey eyes, dark red hair and a gazillion freckles. Those soft Autumn paler colours would be terrible on me. Olive is the very best colour for me to use as a base.
I've heard another analyst say that if you can wear pumpkin orange, olive green & mustard yellow, then you're an autumn. I think it was also mentioned that autumns can have blue eyes but with some warmth/ yellow in them (turquoise or with yellow flecks).
I consider myself to be a Soft Autumn, as I really don't fit into any other season or sub season. But my coloring is still crazy enough to keep me guessing sometimes. My eye color for instance, is not typical. I have a light hazel ring of color around my pupil, outlined in a pale yellow line, then the outer ring of color is a pale warm blue, they call this Central Heterochromia. The difference is that the light hazel doesn't blend with the warm light blue, so it's not cohesive. If I wear colors that enhance the light hazel in my eye, my eyes can look very creepy. Then I have flecks of dark golden brown scattered throughout the warm blue. Talk about confusing. My hair is also a mix of cool and warm colors, like ash blonde and browns along with auburn and gold hair that make a goldish red halo around my head, My skin is just as confusing. I go pale Ivory white skinned in the winter and gold skinned in summer. I guess this would all make me a neutral right? But then I can pull off wearing some of the colors from True Autumn and Dark Autumn, but probably most can. I've tried to wear other season's colors and I look awful. I truly love all the colors in the whole Autumn spectrum and wear all that blend well with my bizarre coloring. TY for posting this great info!

I can't decide whether I'm a true or dark autumn. Based on hair (my natural hair is blue-black but now it's dark reddish-brown) & eye color (dark brown), I'm dark autumn but some colors in the true autumn palette look good on me too. I have medium to tan skin, warm undertone and pastel colors wash me out. Thank you for including women of color in your vids! Most other vloggers use only white women in their examples. Cheers & more power to you! Edit: after some time, watching more vids, draping myself & training my eyes, I'm 80% sure that I'm a True Autumn (medium contrast) but I can wear colors from DA. 😊
Most other vloggers use only white women, bcs this color typology only applies to white people. I don't know why it is so hard to understand that the description blue eyes and white skin does not mean black eyes and brown or black skin. All non-whites are dark winter. I had a feeling I was an autumn and it turns out I am a soft autumn!🍂 It’s interesting because my eyes are a really dark brown (pretty much black) so it felt weird identifying with soft autumn. I have been trying to tell my mom because she assumed I would look good in highly chromated colors like neon yellow and cobalt blue like her but I felt like I was always fighting those shades and look better in a pastel yellow or a cornflower/periwinkle. Question though, is it possible to be a soft autumn with true autumn characteristics? I feel like my best colors to wear are champagne, copper, rose gold (so about a soft autumn) but then I love how blood red (true autumn shade) looks on me.❤️
Hi! I'm not a professional, so take it with a grain of salt: I think what's equally important to the "colours you're made of" (for lack of a better term) is the effect that colours create. I'm also a soft autumn, but I feel like dark autumn colours suit me really well, if not better than some soft autumn colours. That's because I'm a Kibbe gamine and the contrast of dark colours on my very pale skin makes me look alive, while an all-pastell-look suits my features but ultimately looks boring. If you like the effect that blood red creates on you, go for it! That doesn't mean you're not a soft autumn, it's just a different look. Instead of blood red blending in with your own, inherent colours, your own colours make blood red pop!

Im a dark autumn, Just because i have high contrast. Im look really good with mostard yellow!! I know in my picture doesnt look like, but i have dark and thik eyebrows, very light skin and dark eyes. My hair isnt very dark, but in contrast to my skin, looks a litle bit dark. (My photo profile is with filter, thats why i could look more like a true autumn. But in real life i have more hight contrast) Almost forgot, sorry for my english. Its my second language and im still learning!

@@concepthree just because this is an Autumn season, remember, dark autumns are on the cusp of winter, so some people that are dark Autumn CAN wear some cool colors because especially some dark autumns can have a lot of red in their skin.
what I said on my last video: "I have amber eyes (a yellow to orange hue), my hair is one shade lighter than the darkest brown (the color is very rich) and now that my skin is lightening, I have a pale yellow skin tone. I have super rosy cheeks which are a coral/ peachy color. Now that my hair is growing out and is completely dark, I'm trapped between seasons. I have medium brown hair with golden reflections and medium brown eyes with green outline with that I think I have a warm undertone but I have beige skin that tends to blush (silver suits me better than gold royal blue suits me better than mustard yellow everything that is cold in color suits me well but khaki green is not bad on me) I don't know if maybe cold undertones with hair and warm eyes?

Hi. For other analysts, reaction of skin to the color is more important than hair or eye color. Drape yourself in black vs choco brown. If you look better in black = winter; if brown = autumn.
The difference would lie in whether you have a very obviously warm undertone or cool undertone! If you are warm I would say autumn if you are cool I would say you are dark winter !

What would I be, I feel like I'm winter dark autumn and I summer true , is that possible? My hair really lightens so much and my skin gets very deeply tanned and face gets some freckles but my face still has contrast because of dark eyebrows/eyes. Hi, you're still an autumn even if your hair has turned grey. If you find the dark autumn colors too dark for you now, try the soft autumn palette. Other analysts say that with age, our coloring may become more muted/ softer.

Soft Autumn is for me. I vas analyzed Autumn many years ago and did not feel home when there vas 4 seasons. All my favorite colors are in soft Autumn.

I am very confused about my season. My eyes fits the true autumn with olive eyes with freckles and my hair colour fits true spring - but I have cool undertones?

I cant decide whether I am dark autumn or true autumn - I am of mixed ethnicity so it makes it quite difficult to tell. I would say my mother is a true winter, where as my father would be a true autumn. I have dark brown eyes which are slightly warm (maybe even redish tones). My skin has definitely yellow tones but im very fair. My hair is bark brown with redish and golden tints. I have been told that I have a neutral skin tone - overall rich colours look better on me (rich reds, greens, browns).
True autumn fits me perfectly in every way, however my eyes are none of these colors, they are turquoise, so a greenish blue. Since everything else is spot on about true autumn, just wanna add that this is also possible. This video did help me elliminate the other two autumns though. 👍 interesting stuff. Also I love that you include different ethnicities.
Me too. I have blue grey eyes, dark red hair and a gazillion freckles. Those soft Autumn paler colours would be terrible on me. Olive is the very best colour for me to use as a base.
I've heard another analyst say that if you can wear pumpkin orange, olive green & mustard yellow, then you're an autumn. I think it was also mentioned that autumns can have blue eyes but with some warmth/ yellow in them (turquoise or with yellow flecks).
I consider myself to be a Soft Autumn, as I really don't fit into any other season or sub season. But my coloring is still crazy enough to keep me guessing sometimes. My eye color for instance, is not typical. I have a light hazel ring of color around my pupil, outlined in a pale yellow line, then the outer ring of color is a pale warm blue, they call this Central Heterochromia. The difference is that the light hazel doesn't blend with the warm light blue, so it's not cohesive. If I wear colors that enhance the light hazel in my eye, my eyes can look very creepy. Then I have flecks of dark golden brown scattered throughout the warm blue. Talk about confusing. My hair is also a mix of cool and warm colors, like ash blonde and browns along with auburn and gold hair that make a goldish red halo around my head, My skin is just as confusing. I go pale Ivory white skinned in the winter and gold skinned in summer. I guess this would all make me a neutral right? But then I can pull off wearing some of the colors from True Autumn and Dark Autumn, but probably most can. I've tried to wear other season's colors and I look awful. I truly love all the colors in the whole Autumn spectrum and wear all that blend well with my bizarre coloring. TY for posting this great info!

I can't decide whether I'm a true or dark autumn. Based on hair (my natural hair is blue-black but now it's dark reddish-brown) & eye color (dark brown), I'm dark autumn but some colors in the true autumn palette look good on me too. I have medium to tan skin, warm undertone and pastel colors wash me out. Thank you for including women of color in your vids! Most other vloggers use only white women in their examples. Edit: after some time, watching more vids, draping myself & training my eyes, I'm 80% sure that I'm a True Autumn (medium contrast) but I can wear colors from DA. 😊
Most other vloggers use only white women, bcs this color typology only applies to white people. I don't know why it is so hard to understand that the description blue eyes and white skin does not mean black eyes and brown or black skin. All non-whites are dark winter. I’m so torn on what I am tbh. 😂 mainly because I dye my hair. I can vary tho from a true autumn to a dark autumn! 😌 used to dye my hair blonde which I was forsure a true autumn.

I had a feeling I was an autumn and it turns out I am a soft autumn!🍂 It’s interesting because my eyes are a really dark brown (pretty much black) so it felt weird identifying with soft autumn. I have been trying to tell my mom because she assumed I would look good in highly chromated colors like neon yellow and cobalt blue like her but I felt like I was always fighting those shades and look better in a pastel yellow or a cornflower/periwinkle. Question though, is it possible to be a soft autumn with true autumn characteristics? I feel like my best colors to wear are champagne, copper, rose gold (so about a soft autumn) but then I love how blood red (true autumn shade) looks on me.❤️
Hi! I'm not a professional, so take it with a grain of salt: I think what's equally important to the "colours you're made of" (for lack of a better term) is the effect that colours create. I'm also a soft autumn, but I feel like dark autumn colours suit me really well, if not better than some soft autumn colours. That's because I'm a Kibbe gamine and the contrast of dark colours on my very pale skin makes me look alive, while an all-pastell-look suits my features but ultimately looks boring. If you like the effect that blood red creates on you, go for it! That doesn't mean you're not a soft autumn, it's just a different look. Instead of blood red blending in with your own, inherent colours, your own colours make blood red pop!

Im a dark autumn, Just because i have high contrast. Im look really good with mostard yellow!! I know in my picture doesnt look like, but i have dark and thik eyebrows, very light skin and dark eyes. My hair isnt very dark, but in contrast to my skin, looks a litle bit dark.
(My photo profile is with filter, thats why i could look more like a true autumn. But in real life i have more hight contrast)

@@concepthree just because this is an Autumn season, remember, dark autumns are on the cusp of winter, so some people that are dark Autumn CAN wear some cool colors because especially some dark autumns can have a lot of red in their skin.

I have medium brown hair with golden reflections and medium brown eyes with green outline with that I think I have a warm undertone but I have beige skin that tends to blush (silver suits me better than gold royal blue suits me better than mustard yellow everything that is cold in color suits me well but khaki green is not bad on me) I don't know if maybe cold undertones with hair and warm eyes?

I fall under every characteristic of a dark Autumn except my natural hair color is jet black. So confused if I am a Dark Autumn or Dark Winter. My hair has been dyed to dark brown. But naturally my hair as a child was jet/blue black. Light skin and brown eyes plus freckles.
Hi. For other analysts, reaction of skin to the color is more important than hair or eye color. Drape yourself in black vs choco brown. If you look better in black = winter; if brown = autumn.
The difference would lie in whether you have a very obviously warm undertone or cool undertone! If you are warm I would say autumn if you are cool I would say you are dark winter !

That's because you have warm characteristics in your eye. It's not the color that counts, it's the characteristics of your eye that matters.
What I mean is you probably have speckling and you have brown coloring in your eyes.

I am still not quite sure. I look best in oranges, dark yellows, dark tans (golden), kelly green and medium to medium light blues. Hair and eyes both dark but better with sun highlights. The available colors posted were all flattery for me.
What would I be, I feel like I'm winter dark autumn and I summer true , is that possible? My hair really lightens so much and my skin gets very deeply tanned and face gets some freckles but my face still has contrast because of dark eyebrows/eyes. Winter I go white, hair gets dark, freckles go away. There are always some copper strands of my hair even though I look brunette/ golden brown in summer.

I think I'm dark autumn... I have dark brown hair and dark brown eyes. What was misleading me was that I have a light mediterranean skin so kinda with olive undertones 🤔
But honestly dark autumn is usually the range of colors I am attracted to and that I think suits me the best 😊
Olive is considered cool, so you have warm olive undertones.

Hi, you're still an autumn even if your hair has turned grey. If you find the dark autumn colors too dark for you now, try the soft autumn palette. Other analysts say that with age, our coloring may become more muted/ softer.
