Finally found a video with black people in it that is for the dark autumn type. Thank you for making this. I now know for fact that I am a dark autumn due to your numerous examples.
Excellent! Well worth the wait. Yes definitely confirmed I'm Dark Autumn. Sometimes tricky over here to get the right shades of colours, e.g. right shades of purple and yellow but now I know better I will avoid buying shades that do not suit me just because they're on trend or being sold at most stores - I'll keep looking till I find the right shades that complements us Dark Autumns. Thank you for the amazing examples as references. 🌻Will be following on the seasons' videos but really looked forward to this one.
I find that these colours are so hard to find, especially in the style I like. But South Korean brands seem to carry these colours but then, there is the sizing issue that comes with it 😒😒😒 😓.
@@pouchika5672 Hopefully you find some good places to get these colours. Yes, sometimes Korean and Chinese brands are very good but more tailored for petite. I find browsing online easier to find colours than specific high street stores - never know what you'll find with a random internet search - obviously checking the seller is legit and has a record of positive reviews first. eBay and Amazon are quite good for searching and filtering on international clothing sellers. Good luck!
@@daphnent-b1240 I've just resigned myself that I'm gonna have to make the clothes myself. The silhouettes, combined with the colours that I like. Are not accessible on the high street. Plus I have the skills to make the garments, so I might as well do it.

@@cocoastyling there's one thing though, color analysts need to stop saying that Dark Autumns can't wear blue or gray, it's bad enough warmer toned people don't have very many colors to work with. Dark Autumns CAN wear blue and gray they just brown or yellow toned.. Greige or aquamarine blue or Agean blue will on Dark Autumns.

Yes! No one has completely black eyes. But it's easier to say black instead of having to say very-very-very dark brown eyes each time. It gets confusing especially when there is a distinction between dark brown eyes and very dark brown eyes that look black unless you are really close. And it's really fun to experiment with colors and see how they match your features:)

Yellow is very forgiving on dark skin because of the brown in our skin. Brown and yellow go very well together. Blue doesn't look good on us because blue doesn't look good up against orange skin. Think sunflowers.
I can't figure out if I'm dark or soft autumn. I have dark hair and eyes and a warm undertone but I might be too muted for dark autumn. Maybe I'm inbetween?

@@ddddddno24 I can attest that I do not look good in extremely bright colours or neons, and cool tones. I can do light muted colours but it's not great. When I wear toasted (dark) warm tones, my skin looks it's best and I can feel my confidence soaring. They're just more harmonious. Tbh I think it's most important when it comes to make-up.

Besides black eyes don't necessarily have to be so piercing, not only black. There different shades of black out there. Dark brown eyes from a distance look BLACK, not brown. Brown eyes are lighter and warmer, and more or less muted.

This was the most helpful video on this topic I've seen. It’s so enlightening to see how the application of this season varies from individual to individual even though they are all dark autumn. For example, how the brighter colors/shades looked beautiful on Ryan and deeper, muted ones looked more cohesive on Jasmine. Game changer 👍🏾

It's not about whether you are dark or light skinned. It's about Undertone (cool, warm) and if you're muted light/dark or bright .

She is an Autumn,
But her skin has a neutral warm undertone, wearing overly warm colors can grey her out because she is not as warm

What she means by the right shade of silver is that it has either a brown or beige undertone to it. Pewter with a beige or brown undertone to it.
