You never know if there's fish in the area unless you cast in there. Thanks for a great video showing the grind and the reward.

Hey Drew, I'm not asking for any secret honey holes, but could you suggest a half dozen or so ,locations to try canal fishing. I have no idea where to start, but you make it look so much fun I gotta try it. I'm in north Scottsdale, but have car will travel. I am somewhat disabled so accessibility is important. I can't walk long distances. Quarter mile is about my limit.

Nice man! It took me about 6 months to finally run into Mark and Porter, waiting to see you out there too!

Bro it’s crazy that tilapia hit lures. I went to Morrison ranch once and got absolutely destroyed with a spinner bait and I thought that I had a huge bass but it was like a 4 pound tilapia 😂

Tilapia smoke moving baits, especially late summer early fall. They’ll chase small schools of bait. Thanks for watching!

Try the 2in paddle tails instead of curly grubs. I have more success

I’ll give it a shot. The Paddle tails slay for sure!

I agree with you but I still have to switch things up at my spots on the west side.

You need to sharpen your hooks or at least make sure they are sharp, especially when hooking dinks. When you try setting the hook it just pulls the entire bass toward you because they're so light weight.
Last week I fished a stretch of canal about three miles from my home. None of the natural bait imitation lures that I usually have luck with were working so out of frustration I tied on a bright orange one. It was the same shape and had the same action, it's just that it was bright orange instead of a natural prey species color.
I brought in one decent bass and there was three dinks that I watched swim up and take a swipe at it. Who know why these darn canal fish are so selective on any given day.
