Zaan just fits my style way more. I know the Sebenza is "overbuilt" as well but the Zaan can hang with all the USA made tactical greats 👍 have a tanto in the mail to me now so of course I'm watching reviews/vids of it 🤣
Have both. It’s 1a vs. 1b. Cannot go wrong either way. One of the very best production knives made. Agree the inlays on the Sebenza provide better grip, especially the micarta variant. I don’t really use my CRK’s hard, but if I did the Umnumzaan would be my choice. For general EDC use, I love the Sebenza 21, and the small version in particular.
I have a small 31. I have a large 31 ordered, but thinking of requesting an order change to the Umnumzaan. Thinking that the large 31 won't be different enough than the small to earn as much carry, while the Umnumzaan could become my every day tough work knife.

I now have a sebenza 21, a small Inkosi, and looking for an Umnumzaan.. I only purchase Chris Reeve knives new because I'll be able to sell it for what I paid and the price for a used one is darn near the new price... I have a feeling I'm lying to myself if I don't think half a year from now I'll be buying another crk 😂 Edit: I'm looking to buy my third crk within 8 months

The 21 is great, but prefer the change to the single piece inlay on the 31s.

I don't know how I feel about the 31 tbh. When I get a sebenza though I do want to get it in s45... so I'll probably get it anyways.
I do prefer the 21 over the 31, but the 31 is still a really good knife. When I get an inkosi it will hopefully be in s45. Thanks for watching

I use mine everyday itcs my work knife and it's badass trust me
