Never clicked on a video so fast! Stray Kids is a self-producing group who are known for their experimental hype beats but has a wide range of genres within their discography. Highly recommend God's Menu, Easy, S-Class, Venom, Freeze, Megaverse. I discovered them back in 2020 when I stumbled upon God's Menu and I have never looked back since. Stray Kids has such incredible music and personalities they're always finding ways to elevate themselves and their music. You will come to learn all members are all-rounders who can rap and sing to some degree going through their discography. They're arguably the best 4th gen boy group in K-pop at the moment! Looking forward to more SKZ reactions! JYP Entertainment is an Entertainment company. There is also JYP the Kpop solo artist who kinda is the face of the company but not the CEO of JYP Entertainment anymore. Side note: JC was a member of NSYNC, not Backstreet Boys lol.

3Racha - Stray Kids' main writing and production unit, consisting of Bang Chan (the leader of Stray Kids), Changbin and Han (two of their main rappers)
Bang Chan was an idol trainee at JYP for several years. While waiting to debut with a group (any group), he formed a rap group called 3Racha with two other trainees, Changbin and HAN. They wrote and produced their own music. JYP gave Bang Chan the highly unusual opportunity to develop his own idol group, and when Stray Kids was formed 3Racha was absorbed into that group. 3Racha still performs on occasion. Several of their songs / videos are posted on TH-cam.
They write and produce the vast majority of the music for Stray Kids. But over the years the other members have also gotten involved in writing and production.

Stray Kids debuted in 2018. They started with 9 members (in their early videos, you'll see 9 people performing) but Woojin left in Oct 2019 and Stray Kids have been an 8-member group ever since.

JYP is a Kpop entertainment company they are under, but with that, Stray Kids is a fully self-produced group and have a producing unit that consist of three members, so they make their own music!! :)

P.s. Most K-pop groups have a lore behind them so their MVs are not just randomly thrown together. Stray Kids is no exception. If you are curious about this MV, which aligns so beautifully with the lyrics, the giant monsters are the personification of emotions like stage fright and anxiety for the younger boys. Each scene represents a different emotion based off the Chinese symbol in each scene - Happy (bank scene), Angry (pirate scenes), Sad (domino scene) and finally Pleasure (Mad Max scene). These characters dissolve over the MV leaving the last as the main emotion, Pleasure, which is the ultimate emotion. The choreo ends with skz giving the "I love you" hand sign to the kids like saying I love you to their past selves. The last scene, the monsters are gone and the kids experience the euphoria of completing their performance with the adoration of the audience.
The guy that said "24/7 keep on going" is the leader of SKZ he's name is Bangchan and he is the main producer of stray kids and the guy with the blue hair is Felix and he's has the deepest voice in all of K-pop if that made sense. Also song I recommend is MEGAVERSE, and EASY. It shows their rapping side, please check them out if you have the time! you won't regret it😉

In the nicest way possible I think it’s important if you have the time to maybe watch a video on K-pop idols and training and how it works. K-pop idols train for years before debuting into groups. They take dancing, singing, acting and rap lessons all while attending school (if they are underage). For example the leader bang chan of stray kids trained for 7 years before debuting. Conditions have become better but back then trainees would spend 13 days training and get one day off on the 14th day. It’s different for every group and every member but the process of these groups forming is highly different from westernised groups so it’s hard to compare. These companies while can be kind of crappy, expect nothing but the absolute best and it’s a brutal path but is rewarding for many. It’s also not really a new things as K-pop has been around a very long time and only recently has western mainstream media picked up on it. Another thing to add is not all K-pop is POP. A lot of fans (myself included) have been around for a really long time and understand that K-pop comes in many different genres they just call it K-pop because it’s people singing in Korean. It’s like KRNB is RNB but in Korean. Overall Korean music has been largely discredited in the past due to it not being in English and therefore not valued in the western media and people. I’m glad the world is changing !

FYI in South Korea when groups are asked what company they are with like JYP or YG its not just their label. In S.K. the entertainment company you are signed with acts and operates as a record label, talent agency, music production company, event management company, concert production company, and music publishing house. Often talent is scouted at a very young age & brought in as trainees where they are housed in dorms, fed & required to attend classes for dance , rap , singing or even music production for several years till they are placed in a group to debut as idols or artists. Even after debut typically the company has full control of the idols lives including the artistic aspects of the group, what kind of music they put out, to what they wear, where they live & whether they are allowed to have personal relationships (bf/gf) or not. Thats why Stray Kids is so unique, they write & produce their own music, they have full creative control, & probably a bit more "freedom " than most other groups. They still live together in 2 "dorms" & follow strict guidelines regarding their public image (i.e. no personal relationships, no swearing on camera etc.) But i think being such a conservative country sometimes its just widely accepted that doing anything like that damages their marketability & is a powder keg for scandals which run rampid on Korean social media & kpop media in general. Often such scandals can ruin the future of groups. So such activities i think are mutually avoided at all costs by companies & idols alike. At least until you are so big it doesnt matter what you do (i.e. BTS , now have tattoos & swear in tracks & are starting to have public relationships cause they now have more money than god so its doesnt matter. 😅)
Stray Kids was second only to Taylor Swift in Album sales in the USA in 2023 have performed and won at VMA’s and Billboard awards and headlined several major world music festivals recently so lm surprised you haven’t heard of them

basically there's 8 members and about 6 of them are considered part of the rap line, so most of their songs are more rap and super hype, i recommend Venom, Freeze, Topline and Megaverse, i think you will like

@@rxcharxgers Skz themselves consider Muddy Water unit (Changbin, Han, Hyunjin, Felix) as a rapline and Waiting For Us unit (Seungmin, I.N, Chan, Lee Know) as a vocalline. All can sing and rap but 4 of them mostly sings and other 4 of them mostly raps in their songs. Some members like Han can do other part too often as well. Lee Know is definitely not in the rapline right now. JYP (not campany the human one) didn't appreciate his vocals back then in debut days (Lee Know had short training period) that's why they changed Lee Know's parts to rap parts (we know this because of their survival show). Lee Know now mostly sing in their songs. Ofc he raps in some songs just like the other vocalline members.

Felix (blue hair) is not the leader. Blue is his favorite color. The leader is Bang Chan who is one the main composer, producer, director and lyricist of 3Racha. 3Racha is the main producing team for SKZ, the leader is Bang Chan, Changbin (main rapper) and Han (2nd main rapper) SKZ is a self produced group. Bang Chan hand picked them himself which is never ever happened in any other Kpop Groups. I hope you enjoy more reactions for SKZ because their discography is out of this world!
In the western music a leader is the main vocalist, on the front. This is not as things are in the k-pop. In k-pop a leader takes care of the members of the group, is older brother type of man, he keeps them safe, healthy, represents a group in interviews. He can, but not necessarily, be a main vocalist.
They all have they roles in a group. A blue hair man Felix is one of the dance unit (there are three of main dancers).

OHH EMM GEE IM SO HAPPY YALL FINALLY LISTENED TO SKZ. Stray Kids is an eight member group under JYP entertainment. The oldest member 26 is Bang Chan, he's the leader of skz and produces 99% of skz music alongside 2 other members. The producing unit of skz is called 3Racha. He was born in Korea but moved and was raised in Australia for most of his childhood. Lee Know is the 2nd oldest born and raised in SK. He is part of Danceracha, the dancing unit of the group, along with 2 other members. Changbin is the 3rd oldest he is know as one of the rappers of the group (although everyone can rap, sing, dance, and produce music very well). He is also a part of 3RachaHe was also born and raised in SK. Hyunjin is the 4th one. He is also a part of danceracha. He has amazing stage presence and is a very good artist (he paints and draws). HAN is 5th member. He is the 3rd and last member of the producing unit 3Racha. He is known as the ACE of skz and honestly as the ACE of 4th gen. This means he can sing, rap, dance, perform, and produce to a whole other level. Felix is the 6th member and the 3rd youngest. He is know for his deep ass voice that doesn't match his sweet looks and personality. He was born and raised in Australia. When he came to Korea he knew very little Korean but with practice he is now fluent. Seungmin is the 7th member and the 2nd youngest. He is known as one of the singers of the group. He is a part of Vocalracha, the vocal unit of Stray Kids. Seungmin was basically born and raised in SK. He lived in the US for like a year or two but moved back eventually. Some of their most impressive (in my opinion) raps are in: Miroh, Easy, (Han's) Got It, and HeyDay. You really should check out God's Menu too, it is like the quintessential Stray Kids song--really a defining moment for them as a group; and the greatest hype song I have ever heard. The rappers are also extremely good vocalists too. The whole group is so impressive honestly.

I guess with the US boy band history, Boys to Men, Back Street Boys, New Kids on the Block, I can see why Stray Kids was not what you expected. 😆 If you think of K-pop as an industry instead of a uniform music genre, you can then be open for anything. Stray Kids are well known for their high energy songs, witty lyricism, raps and genre mixes, often within the one song. Sing you obviously love rap, if you want more, try Topline, S-Class, Freeze, Venom to start with, and then any song by the producing sub unit called 3RACHA, such as the self titled 3RACHA, Hey Day, Zone. They write and produce most of their music and have a very diverse discography of about 200 songs of all genres (edm, hip hop, ballad, rock, etc.) with two new albums coming this year a world tour. Lots to explore.
Stray Kids is pretty unique in that they have more rappers in the group than singers. They're 8 members, 6 of them are rappers (although all of them can and do sing) Three of their rappers (Bang Chan, Han & Changbin) are also known by their Unit name "3Racha" and they produce pretty much all of the groups songs. Other members also contribute to writing lyrics and creating choreography. They're essentially a self-producing group, which isn't that often seen in Kpop groups. They're also multi-national with Felix and Bang Chan being australian.

Stray kids are a self produced group. Changbin, Han and BangChan are known under the 3racha name and produce / make lyrics ect of the group. BangChan (the leader) have 180 credited song right now (maybe more), Changbin and Han have almost the same count.
If you want to discover them they have a song called "FAM" where they describe eachother.
They are 8 members and unique fact about them : they don't have roles because they are multi talented (in K-pop each member has an assigned role like : main rapper, main vocal (singer) , main dancer ect). They was also created by BangChan (unique way of creating a group. In K-pop it's the agency who decide which member will form a group based on the concept of the group.)

first time on your channel I like the reactions and thank you for checking out stray kids. I can tell you are new to k-pop which has been around since the 90's. They have been keeping up with the times and honing their musical talents in the entertainment world with amazing music and dance, and for a long time, the term "K-pop" has been used to describe a "genre," when it's simply a generic, catchall term for popular music that comes from Korea. It's not an ideal word, especially since it doesn't acknowledge the diversity of musical styles within the industry and the visual elements that often go hand-in-hand with the music. BTS' Min Yoongi (Suga) articulated this challenge in an interview with the Grammy Museum as saying "I think rather than approach K-pop as a genre, a better approach would be ‘integrated content.' K-pop includes not just the music, but the clothes, the makeup, the choreography…all these elements amalgamate together in a visual and auditory content package. It sets it apart from other genres"
They guy with the blue hair and deep voice is Felix and is not the leader. He is the 3rd youngest member and was born in Australia. K-pop groups are not like the US groups. They have more interactions with their fans on a daily basis weather it is on an app with video live chats or just chats, going on game shows, creating content on everything they do, having fan meets, concerts, interviews and the cover of most well known magazines.
With Stray Kids they are different than most k-pop groups because they are self producing meaning, they write the lyrics, create the beats, unique sounds, and arrange the melodies and produce 99% of their own music. Which most groups do have some hand in writing their own music the creative control is with the company on who does what and when they release their music. Stray Kids has more creative control over what they do for their entertainment company JYP.
You may have heard of them because last year they were on several award shows including the VMA awards taking home the best k-pop VMA award. From the beginning in 2017 the leader Bang Chan trained for 7 years starting he is also from Australia and moved form there to S. Korea at the age of 13 years old when he started his training. Their company decided to do something that no other Korean entertainment company has ever done before or since its let the leader hand pick his members. He also named the group and their logo is from his own hand writing. Stray Kids named the fandom Stay (yes no typo and no r) Stray Kids motto is Stray Kids every where around the world you make Stray Kids Stay. They focus on their fans because they know with out their fans they would not be entertaining. Stray kids have done 2 world tours and selling out every where especially last Maniac tour. Every member has amazing vocals, can rap and dance despite what you usually see them do on a song. They do have some heavy rap songs but they also have amazing ballads or pop songs as well even a few rock songs. Because they are self produced group they love to experiment with their music mixing up genres and beat changes and making it sound amazing. They also produce more albums per year than most and even release songs on the sound cloud or on their channel just for fun or for the fans.
I could go on about k-pop and more about stray kids but my comment is long enough. I really hope you check out more stray kids for sure and get into k-pop as well. If not you are missing out on some of the best music and entertainment.

For rapping: Check out 3racha's "Heyday," "3racha", "Topline" feat Tiger JK, HAN's "I got it" -- 3racha is the writing/producing subunit of Stray Kids and includes Bang Chan, Changbin and HAN. The Lyric videos are probably your best bet on these to see the words and wordplay. (3racha is derived from the sauce Siracha and is pronounced Three-rah-chah). But most of their songs feature rapping so you should have fun with any of them!

Thanks for the genuine real-time reaction! I hate that the industry uses the term "boy band" for male groups because it's a catch-all. It doesn't really fit these guys whatsoever. They actually were pretty slow to catch on in actual Korea at first because their sound is so... un-poppy? Un-boyband-y? They've actually released music in just under 50 genres and sub-genres-- the term "kpop" is also another catch-all that all of the groups just get shoved into. "Kpop" is not really a genre. They have some pop-based songs, but they have some that are straight rap ("Maze of Memories," "Heyday," "I Got It"), some that are hard rock-based, some EDM, etc. They even did the opening/closing themes for the anime Tower of God. Plus, unlike most of the boybands we grew up with, these guys ARE the songwriters and producers for about 85% of what they do-- and I mean the overall work, not 85% of the number of songs, because they have a hand in all but maybe a handful of the 200-ish songs in their discography (and God knows how many unreleased ones, because they have hard-drives full of stuff for albums for the next century. Dudes NEVER stop writing). And "boy bands" were around in S.Korea then too, but most of the West didn't really notice it until 10-15 years later 🙂

Hi! I think that I know why some parts sound familiar to you. 3racha (three of the members of Stray Kids) produce the group's music (yeah, they're self produced). Chris (the leader and main producer) composes the music and he's a big fan of taking samples and making them sound better. He uses a lot of samples in the songs and put all his magic into them, that's why sometimes it sounds similar to other songs. Love your reaction ❤

Skz (Stray Kids' shortened name) releases so many songs because they are self produced group. They have so many other music videos that I didn't write or their some b-sides don't have music videos. This list is based on songs' popularity.
Kpop groups are promoting in Japan as well because there's high demand for them in there that's why they have some Japanese songs too.
