You've got a really great start! As a veteran primary grades teacher, I would take the items out of the bathroom. That way it keeps the kids from touching the items with dirty hands and keeps them from spending extra time in the bathroom. I learned the hard way many years ago.
For yor calendar here is a thought. Put up a Command Hook then clip your calendar with a medium or large binder clip and hand from the hook. That's what I do so it;s just a suggestion.Alicia from CT
Congrats on being almost done with setup! I would think about moving things out of the bathroom, at least for the start of the year because covered things and teacher things might be a distraction and encourage kids to spend more time in there than they need. Also, if they do touch things it will be with unwashed hands which is a bit gross. I would also think about a system for changing out the wow work since you don’t have space to display the whole class at once. You want to make sure everyone is featured, without making more work for yourself. Your room is coming together nicely and I hope you still have some time to enjoy the summer!
Your classroom is looking good! What did your kinders do with the timer? How did you attach your numbers to your bathroom door? The sink in your room was a design fail in my opinion! It makes me chuckle every time I see it in your vlogs!
As an elementary music teacher, I've had a sink in my classrooms for the past 18 years. It is helpful for drinks so the children don't go out in the hall and linger, to get a drink. We also wash hands in it before using instruments. I had to move to an area that they are making into a classroom this year, and I will not have a sink. That is one of the biggest losses to my new room in my feelings.
@@1peppie I've had a sink in most of the classrooms I've been in. Yes, they can be very helpful and good to have. What I meant was the placement of the sink within her classroom is in an area that just doesn't make sense to me. Now if they placed it within the bathroom or in the classroom within a counter that would make more sense. This is why I said it was a design failure - not because it's in the classroom, but where it was placed.
You room looks great. The squishy ball you have in your calm down corner could become a headache. Those things pop so easily and you will find little or red all over the place. They are like glitter. My advice (23 yr veteran teacher) get rid of that ball…lol

Oh, okay, that makes sense then. I'm just really sad to be losing my sink in the classroom I'm moving to, so I was ultra-sensitive.
Dang you never showed the chair
