Excellent. I’m going with something similar. I’m going to mount skateboard wheels in a track. That might help reduce the strain on the motor by decreasing the resistance. You are a brilliant carpenter and motivator. Thank you very much for sharing your talents!
you probably dont care but if you guys are bored like me atm then you can stream all the new movies on instaflixxer. Have been watching with my brother for the last months :)
Great idea. Looks like it works a treat. I am in the process of building one similar out Ikea mesh baskets (I attach the sawzall to one basket, and then place the other basket inside it).
Very clever! I would add some simple bearing rails to the sifter, like thrown out drawer slides. And some vibration dampers for the frame, maybe some heavy weights hanging from semi-rigid pendulums? Like 3/4" cpvc pipes with old concrete filled plastic weights ppl throw out all the time... cement a coupling at the bottom of pipe to hold weight, maybe get some nice counter-movement to the sawzall! 🤔😁
I've been researching various sources of power to move the screen, and I keep coming back to the reciprocating saw. I was concerned with getting 7/8 to 1" of travel, but I think that's going to be enough. Building it on top of a gorilla cart. With 3D printed parts and steel rails. I may even 3D print a new case to replace the original saw.
thanks for the comment! I haven't had any issue so far, as I only run it for 20 minutes or less while I'm sifting a wheel barrel full, then I shut it off.
i have been looking for soemthing like this for months. Everyone else's was so janky. The variable speed controller is NEXT LEVEL.

DID YOU MAKE YOURS ALREADY?? HOW DID IT GO?
I thought about using a recip saw - good idea squire 👍. I opted for my wife's vibrator it has a high frequency intense vibration setting, Happy Soil 👍
Funny one
I had a dream of this type of dirt screens. Yours is a reality, nice diy engineering. Large springs under feet might help.
Oh wow this is great and so simple but effective

@Dakari Maxton Yea, I've been using instaflixxer for years myself :)

Sounds great!
I used a three tier cart it has one inch square holes which are too big for small rocks this helps a lot great idea

Did you ever build one? I immediately imagined my gorilla cart in this video as well as 3D-printing components.
Thats very creative
U r genius. Good idea♡♡
Thanks a lot 😊
That's cool mate ,
Thank you!
Muito legal esse seu projeto 👏👏 parabéns 👏
Thank You!
Great idea! Thanks
You bet!
Nice man I may have to make this
🌱👀🌱
Go for it!
What is the name of the variable speed controller youre using?
It is a router speed controller from Harbor Freight.
Excellent
nice but I believe rotary may be more efficient , quieter and durable
You make a campfire yet?
How long can the saw keep going before burning out ,or overheating

@@topshelfexcavating9324 exellent thanks.
Nice
Thanks
my god man, turn your phone sideways.
just add a concrete bottom to the legs or add steel shoes
Horizontal video please. It's impossible to get the full effect.
Super
Thanks
The power is MEXICAN....
This will not last.. very flimsy.
