This video is more from a perspective of WITCH (Wipro, Infosys, TCS, Cognizant, HCL) or other service based companies in India. In FAANG and similar product companies work culture in India is similar to US nowadays. Although I have seen people in India manage time poorly and end up working in odd hrs, the expectation from the company is not different. Also the salary is quite good in these companies - starts from 15-20 LPA but easily goes above 50 LPA at senior level. Many of my friends working in India earning over 1 CR salaries in FAANG / product companies.
all the points are absolutely spot on. 10 saal pehle bhi starting salary 3 lakh thi, abhi bhi same hai. 😅 One more advantage in US is, if you are fired you are given few months salary till you find your next job I guess. India mein aisa nahi hai
Sir/Madam 12 saal pehle bhi India mein nahi kaha even when we were freshers in Infosys. Yeh saare points based on working in service based company. Salary has increased alot in India, just choose right company. Anyone planning to work in USA should get full information about VISA. Working on VISA is not easy. Renewals and stamping are biggest headache. One cannot just leave for India without planning the stamping dates. Many people couldn't go to India even in emergency medical cases because of no stamping dates. Also many companies in USA don't sponsor VISA so it becomes difficult to switch job. Yes quality of life is excellent in USA but it does come with a price.
Hello Rajat. Nothing has changed in India after 10 years. Base salary now for freshers is around 3.5 lakh to 4.5 lakh. Companies like Tcs and Wipro are offering these numbers only. If you are extraordinary you might get good payment. They make us work still night 12. Horrible work culture.
Still 3.5-4.5 is not bad package. I have completed my B Pharm. My first job package was 1.6 lakh per annum in 2014. And there was a requirement to go to the office everyday in the UK shift timing. There were a lot of people involved in smoking. As soon as shift used to get over, people would just go outside to smoke
I have worked with lot of western people. They are professionals and have patience to listen to your ideas. But Indian's attitude hasn't changed so far even after moving to western nations. "Do what I say" is still the indians work culture. When onshore indian talks to offshore Indian's it's very harsh and rude. But same onshore Indian's speaks in a gentle way to westerner's. Indians think they have become god's, when immigrated to western nations. This indian mentality on work culture would never change. Western people recognise talent and idea's. Indians recognise people based on language and religion.
Not true that US companies dont expect weekend or after hours work. I have worked for 30+ years in USA dor some of the best blue chips. You must be very lucky to have such great work life balance

U can later decide to start a business in germany and reduce taxes when u are settled there and saved good money . But your decision is up to u .
Working in public sector in india also is not easy . Bosses expect late staying hours, beyond office timings. Even they expect you to come occasionally on sat sundays too.
Mostly all of the cons you mentioned for working in Indian companies are not true anymore (atleast in all the companies I and my friends are working). People are encouraged to take vacations, no bootlicking, flexible timings, no weekend work. India is doing extremely better. Ofcourse there are always few exceptions depending on the area you work.
Its still toxic work culture compared to the the west. I just left working in India 3 months ago in a IT pretty good company. They expect you to work day and night or whatever but you must finish that project by the deadline. And forget about getting over time or something like that.
