as someone that still uses ml flan i think just giving her a bomb on s1 for better control would have been a better idea, she doesn't need to be an all the time pick but a niche pick units. cus using other units makes this game much more enjoyable
I dont know man i am in favor of Valky´s review. ML Flan change was a buff. Transform her into a overall sub-dps that supports all the team in exchange of her "own" persona stats was a fair trade. I dont get why people dont want it to happen. ML Flan is not a opener. Right now her major problem wont change without a buff that make her bypass inmunity.
If there is one thing E7 has proven over the years, it's that the average vocal player doesnt understand game balance. SG shouldnt have listened to them

I personally don't know what j.kise needs. But p.flan not being meta is fine. Not everything needs to be meta/broken.
@@-8h-your last sentence contradicts the first. Kayron has a fine application being an Arena/GvG cheese tactic, and achates' buff basically makes sure you can full auto and turn your brain off as long as there's no A!Yufine (or something crazy like 300 EFF AOL).
Kinda agree that maybe listening to the loudest voices doesn't yield much. People just want [their favorite character] buffed over [other character on patch note]

@@-8h- PFlan IS kinda dogshit. She's a mediocre answer to standard v standard. Also, why are we complaining over units not selected over units that WERE going to be buffed but had the rugged pulled out from under them? That REALLY sucks.
I think SC doesn’t know what a nerf or a buff is their selves. Saying that everything here was a buff sad to see it changed

It's not even a huge issue since she shares it with Mui and Taewho. Mui probably needs that buff more than Juggs anyway.
I actually use pirate captain flan quite often along with seaseria and nahkwol. Whatever they change her to, I’d probably just find a way to use her again.
I hope they make a new character with cancelled PCFlan's kit and see how that character dominating the meta and give some proof to people that said "PCFlan is nerfed" how wrong they are lmao

The pillage on passive made sense. They don't want you to have a free strip into bombs, so you gotta SB it to get use out. Given all the SW cleave tech that's not even hard anymore.

The E7 community b*tchin and whining about ML Flan passive changes and devs quickly listen to reverted back to her original, yet the devs never listen to the community asking for Fallen Cecilia buffs since ages.
That's completely different. She'll get it eventually, but there's others who need it more. F.ceci was meta for half of the game's lifespan

Devs Listened to an extremely bad take from a vocal minority. Now PFlan pays the price and remains nearly unusable (likely for years). Silent majority who were excited for insane buffs on her are pretty upset now and ... well... not being silent any more about it.
why cant they make her bomb/burn dmg scale with her health instead of atk, if they want to like make her survive more in slow pace battles?
Because bomb and burns are a mechanic shared with 30 other characters. It's much harder to change mechanics than a single character.
And she has 30% damage sharing with no crit burdens. I don't think she needs better survivability.
I mean she is already play as an offtank right now (people that play 290-3XX ML Flan are just plain bad, she is a horrible opener) And damage is not her problem.

I'm sick of having to recook my Juggs all the time. She needs built in stats to make up for the fact she doesn't kill without def break and isn't really that fast.
The increase hit resistance was a good addition , I wish if they didn't cancel it

should have scrapped the whole thing and buffed units like FCC, ML kayron, A lots , rework mui. that would have made everyone happy.

I dont think that the PFlan changes were bad per se... its more thst they picked a perfectly fine character and changed her for no freakin reason instead of using the balance patch to revitalized objektively underused units.
I was interested in the changes personally.
I wonder if they could play around with the way bomb and burn works. When bomb detonates apply a burn debuff, if bomb is applied on a target with a burn debuff prior detonate instantly. Skill 1 now applies burn and SB change from extra turn to AoE.

My only thing about pcf is the fact they removed her cr push , the buff steal change is also annoying but I can deal with that ,

I’m relieved they reverted pflan, not because I think her old kit was good, but because I think she’ll be a pain in the ass to deal with lol.
They did the right thing with pflan she needs a small buff or maybe even just an ee instead of a complete rework. Pflan beats most cleansers by capitalizing on the free ef to stun them. There aren't many cleansers who can deal with that and it's good that a few exist because units having counters to them is a good thing. Laia was a mistake because nahkwol was a mistake. Sg should be discouraged from continuously making mistakes and poor design choices.

Faptain isnt getting new buffs at least from the outset thats how it should be taken, players on stove (idk really where theyre from) were so vocal that changing her was such a bad thing im going to go off the presumption that sg is is going to take that as "she clearly doesnt need buffs then"

I have a feeling JKise is going to get speed on her EE. They are doing everything possible to not give her speed with her buffs.
I dont understand why peopl dont want the change in ML Flan honestly. Because it was not enough? because it seem bad? Like overall i agree with Valky as a ML Flann user the change was an overall improvement in general. I dont visit E7 reddit anymore becuase there is nothing worth to discuss there.
That said about the debuff problem in E7, well yeah agianst a full modern team 99% of the debuffers in the game are useless but that is just because they push that "anti-disable" bar too much. The amount of meta units that can answer a debuff right now or prevent it from happening is absurd. THAT part of the game design is ruin forever. But Canna, that is what we could said about a lot of aspects of the gameplay in the game. There is too many anti-stuff for some strategies that just make them impossible to play even with bans.

I have been using judge kise for years and this is like the 5th time they have changes/balanced her. They need to quit messing with her kit so much, pick a build and stick to it.

Because she's an ML5 and that'd make players ballistic to need 6 Slates or other Kise to make her competitive.
Remember how rabid people went over the awakening update? Even when they changed it to old characters everyone already has maxed out from years of freebies? This would be even worse. Sure, crit imprint is also a whale imprint, but it got grandfathered in, just like fake skips, 2x speed 5 years later, and paid unequip

They could simply do this:
S1- add 50% to bomb
S2- add the Time to Pillage effect after the CR push
S3- add instant detonate of burns only
Extra- Give F Cici, Op Sig and D Lili their much needed buff.
Only an idiot would think that buff was bad.
This buff allows pflan to be played slow. Her pillage allows other fast characters or mid speed characters to do the strip for her and then allow her to nuke opponents down while being tankier to boot.
If only people pulled their head out of their own ass for one second and even realised how many synergies this opened up, but nope they wanted to keep their gold only use pflan vs allowing her to shine in higher ranks.
It was 50-50. There were really good changes with it, but also some really bad ones. If you only saw it as good then that really says something about the gold projection and all that.

It was definitely more than 5%. But we're stuck in a time where they won't nerf anything because of the early players in 1 server.

I think you kinda missed the real reason for them removing the pcf buff, it doesn't really have anything to do with the buffs being bad, because they're not and anyone with a brain can tell that they're an improvement over her current kit.
The real reason is because of the terminal complainers on stove were louder than usual this time, and for some reason sg actually decided to listen to them. The current top comment complaining about it is from a low champ rta player with a negative winrate, are we really gonna let people like this, who have no clue about the meta of the game decide the direction of the balance patch?
There are already a lot of people who want the pcf buffs to go through commenting for it in stove, I suggest anyone who also feels this way to do the same as its clearly the only platform where sg actually listens to feedback, no matter how bad it is.

@@arktey less used by you doesn't mean less usable. Just because she isn't used in high level RTA that often doesn't mean other (MOST) people, who have her built, don't use her. It makes her "better" is subjective. Also, who should sg listen to? The people who never use her, or the people who use her?? it seems to me it's the people who actually use her that complained.
We don't even know how pillage would work exactly. People guaranteeing it's a buff are insane and painting this fairy tail scenario where her debuffs always land. Maybe it was a buff or maybe it wasn't. But the soul burn for extra turn is HUGE. The rest is debatable.
@@GrizzlyX I have been a consistent pcf user for years, but now more than ever she has gotten to a point that her kit is just not good at all, there is so much buff stacking and cleansing that she just can't do anything in 95% of RTA matches.
sg should listen to more of the community than the extremely small portion of players complaining on stove, if you look around at any other content creators they have the same opinion as me.
And yes we do know pillage is a buff why tf wouldn't it be and it's effects are pretty clear from the patch, the only thing we don't know about it is whether it is able to be stripped or not like other unique buffs.
And lastly, you clearly don't know the power of def break + bomb. Yes extra turn is great and is probably better for control, but def break increases bomb dmg by a crazy amount, I'm talking like 80% increase, which makes her S1 go from doing 15k dmg with 2 bombs to 30k dmg. At that point you don't even need more control if you can just kill them instead.

She's been a decent 4/5 pick for me in rta. But really useful in GW.

@@maririonette4673 how? She'd S3 as normal, activate S2 if they have buffs and she'd still S1 as normal and even do more damage with def break (while still stealing).

@@raze2012_ I think you've got it backwards...TW has never been a part of CN, ignoring everything else, that'd be like punishing someone for saying the sky is blue...and the fact that the whole world coddles that small-minded country is so similar to middle school behavior being tolerated from spoiled children. I certainly will not plant a flag on a specific algorithm (character) , but I will fight a battle of fact vs fiction in a heartbeat.
