Evershine looks so interesting and I honestly like the more realistic but still cartoony art style. Unfortunately I never gotten to enjoy Sandrock on my Switch because it barely worked on that dang thing and that was the one I wanted to play first to get into the series! Overall I’m going to kick back and see what happens! 🌸
While I play on PC, I'm in the Pathea discord and I've read they have gives the switch version some updates since release, so hopefully it works a lot better now. 🩷
@@katelynsewell3928 It still doesn't run as well as PC, like hair actually moves on PC in the wind vs being an immovable brick on Switch, but that's about the level of the performance differences. You also still have the Switch doing a restart every ingame week-ish or so with no issues. Both versions still have up to 10 seconds to pop-in characters after entering/exiting a building, which is annoying but livable. I've replayed on the Switch about 3 times, and a couple more on PC. I still prefer PC, but the Switch runs fine. There was one update that I think messed with the graphics a bit, but I haven't seen anyone else comment on it. I haven't messed with any graphic settings ever on my Switch, and now the characters all look a couple shades lighter to the point Heidi looks like she's just got a light tan and the women's lipstick is missing. Looks a bit odd if you're used to the way they're supposed to look, but that's not a performance thing and otherwise is fine.
You know that you're a fan of the My Time series when you hear the OST of Sandrock behind your voice! I really love how My Time series is evolving. I purchased Portia as a relaxation, thinking it was a "child's game", but it wasn't, and was super addictive. Sandrock has evolved further and has more immersive and graphics. Evershine has gone extremely farther! As a strategy lover and city building/adventure, this is literally a gift to me! Expecting this in 2025-2026, I think we will have a lot of immersive, emotional and stimulating. Hope for lot more, like this! Maybe I hope I will have to play those future and more immersive games containing the Peripheries, Begeondan, Old World, Age of Corruption, etc, in that era, with that day's technology (Our Age of Technology), in a far more immersive environment! Eagerly awaiting Evershine and will support them for sure! Thanks for the detailed description!
Totally agree. Especially when a lot of the enemies and the wanted poster still have that old style. It feels like they just replaced some assets with something more Final Fantasy.
@@Aerikosred I dont think changing the shading is going to make me like it more. For me the old design was unique and made it stand out. This looks like something we've seen before plenty of times. Like a final fantasy or genshin. All the charm is gone.
They got a lot of criticism about the characters in the previous art style looking childlike. I feel like that's a large part of the change in art style
Thanks for the info! Can't wait for this, really enjoyed the first two games, although never got round to finishing Sandrock so might be a good time to go back to it!
While the My Time games were just okay farm sims imo with decent art direction, I didn't like the overly stylized cartoon design they were going with. This, looking way more realistic and next-gen, seems to be right up my alley. And if they truly go deep dive in the actual gameplay mechanics (RPG systems/progression, survival, base building, romance) then this might be my fav game from them yet. Highly looking forward to this game now.
I kinda feel the exact opposite. Judging by the trailer, the new character designs almost look a bit too generic for me. Too samey-samey, if that makes sense 😅
I don't mind so much how most of the NPCs looked what annoyed me was character creation. I found nearly ever look made you look like you are not even an adult. So it always felt weird that you look like a teenager yet all the datable NPCS look at least in their 20s.
Oh and overhaul & improving of the battle system would be nice. Combat clearly imroved from Portia to Sandrock, that doesnt mean there is no room for improvement
This game looks amazing! I played both my time games on Xbox and loved them. No issues at all! I might actually back this one, it just looks beautiful!
I'm a long-time fan of this series. I am liking the new direction Pathea is going with Evershine. I'm excited about the co-op play. As for your question, I have already pledged $65 towards the Ranger Captain (2 steam keys) pack this way I receive updates as development progresses and alpha access. I could have waited to purchase but I have enjoyed playing My Time at Portia/Sandrock so much that I wanted to show my support in the development with Evershine - and to get it before the pack options sold out. The cheapest package they have available now is the $35 Adventure (1 steam key + alpha access) pack while the previous cheaper packages are no longer available. I wanted the option to invite a friend and have alpha game-testing access. I'll be patiently waiting and ready.
There were SO MANY amazing games in 2023 that I'm JUST now getting around to Sandrock. I adore it already but I knew I would. Im steadily trying to get through my backlog but this one will be jumping straight to the top when it comes out. I'll definitely jump onto the kockstarter. They've made 2 amazing games so far and I expect only great stuff from them. ❤
My time at Sandrock was my first game from them. I love that game to pieces. I got my time at Portia recently and I like it. Even with it being an older game. So I’ll definitely throw money at their kickstarter. I can see the passion in their games and I want support that.
I love My Time at Sandrock, but haven't played too much, because so many great games are coming out these days and I can't keep up! But this one looks even better! I love the art style so much!
I loved the first 2 My Time games - didn't know about them in time to back them. I may back this one, but I'm not sure I like the art style - it reminds me of Palia too much. As long as the colors aren't as washed out as they are in Palia it may be ok. I also generally prefer more cartoony over more realistic characters in farming games, so we'll see. I do think being governor instead of a builder is an interesting change. I can't wait to see more info on the game.
I adore Sandrock on my Steamdeck. I’ll definitely support the Kickstarter because I wish I’d been able to support the previous two games (I hadn’t known about the option previously). I love how ambitious Pathea is- they give you these enormous games in universes you hate to leave.
I’m not crazy about the idea of being the mayor. But I do love the new art style and character models so I’ll most likely be giving it a try when it launches into early access on Steam. Very excited for this!
I think I might be in the minority of players who isn’t super excited about this new direction of the franchise since I actually like the grind-y gameplay loop (mining, crafting, etc.) Nonetheless I do love the expansion of the lore, so depending on what initial reviews and early access looks like I might still buy it! Sandrock really hit that sweet spot of story progression, gameplay task loops, and life sim elements for me.
Based on dev comments I've seen crafting and the like aren't necessarily out it's just this time you are helping oversee the town in stead of simply being a builder.
It looks like a My Time game to me. Although the characters have changed in style, the backgrounds are still faithful to the original series. If anything maybe Palia took inspiration from the My Time games.
Im locked in!👀😝. Ill certainly be watching and supporting this one also on kickstarter. I got a feeling im gonna get sucked into this just like Coral Island 🤦♂️🤣🤣🤣
I really enjoy the 'My time' games, very cosy. Also the lore and story in these games are quite fun and interesting. I like a post apocalyptic world that's not too grim and depressing.
Yeah, I've learnt to just buy and play these games on PC now. I first played Portia on the Switch... My first playthrough was with joycon drift.. IN BOTH joycons! And does anyone else remember planting a large seed and then CRASHING THE GAME!? Cos yeah that was a major bug in the release version of Portia... Fun! But seriously, I am SO excited for Evershine! I have so many hours in both games already!
I'm going to back this. I liked Portia enough to back Sandrock, and I liked Sandrock enough to back this. The mobile roots are showing. Some of these assets are from a planned mobile game, so I'm hopeful that Pathea has enough to make this a full-featured title.
@@MissBubbles Pathea started development on a mobile game in the My Time franchise. This project looks like it came from that effort. I don't have any insight on Pathea's strategies, but if I had to hazard a guess, I'd say that they've taken the concept and developed it into this. EDIT: The town development seems like something that would be at home on a mobile app. I'm curious to see what they have in store for it.
I didn't get to see what the game looked like before this video and oh my God I am even more excited! I've played both Portia and Sandrock and I adore both those games, so this should (Hopefully!) be no different! I'll admit I enjoy the art style of My Time at Sandrock the best, but this is a very nice direction to go in! Not too realistic and still keeping a bit of it's roots. Being the mayor this time around makes me so eager to play this game, because I love games where you build up towns and help them thrive, get to know the townspeople and much more. I usually think I'll do bad at those games but I turn out doing pretty fine lol The romanceable options look lovely in my opinion, and I can't wait to hear their and the other townspeople's stories! I'm just all around excited for this game and can't WAIT for it!
I love MTA Portia! I never tried MTA Sandrock because I didn't like the look of the setting. But MTA Evershine seems to be right up my alley, so I'll definitely be backing it. My wife and I love playing cozy games together so I like that it will be co-op.
I'm looking forward to when this comes out! I pledged for possible alpha access on the Kickstarter and can't wait. The Kickstarter, which has a goal of 200k was 100% funded in like 40 minutes of it being up and is currently showing 1.1M+ pledged with 27 days left to go. I think it's safe to say that the My Time games have a decent sized fanbase.🤣
I hope we get a more expansive skill tree as well as a higher level cap, I like crafting and whatnot, but my personal favorite thing in Sandrock and Portia is the combat lol
I played my time at sandrock recently didn’t finish the game yet (92 hours already) on ps5 it was great and I’m sooo HAPPY that the next game will be on ps5 as well! I didn’t expect that!
Thanks for the info video. I Like the new art style and change of roles. I may back this one on kickstarter, but would probably get it for PC. I have a switch, but not sure how it would handle. I am glad that they fixed up Sandrock for Switch after getting feedback, it’s nice when devs listen.
i got one or 2 of the other games on a big sale and havent gotten to them yet. but the artstyle and more rpg elements and the romance of the upcoming one makes me wanna get it right away!
Oh my God, this game looks just wonderful! And I really want to ride that horse. I tried My Time at Portia several times and I didn't like it. I don't know why. For me, that world seemed empty and I didn't really understand what to do. The new game seems to be similar to strategy and it would be quite interesting. The characters have become so beautiful, and the world is bright and saturated. I can't wait to try it.
I have played Sandrock on the Xbox series x and had very few issues. I did come across glitches but they eventually got patched. Nothing game breaking either at the time. It runs smoothly!
this looks freaking amazing is right! i don't know if im getting it day one whenever it drops , but i'm looking forward to it regardless. the my time games don't disappoint but i expect this to be really great i hope it is.
It will be a 'wait and see and check the gameplays from others on this game when it come out' for me - I have Portia and I like the art style of it but not keen on just keep crafting something for the order board so it was easy for me to not come back to it again. I'm not huge on crafting as the main focus of the game but this one seems to be a builder style which I love and enjoy it from Enshrouded, I love building town and houses for settlers, I'm hoping this one will have a good balance between activities we do, like foraging, farming, building, crafting, etc, not to be craft-heavy for special orders, if that make sense. I agree that the art style is similar as Palia and I'm not mad at all, and LORE?? I LOVE lores in games, I always spend time reading notes, finding notes, try to dig out things to understand the whole story, etc, I love it so I definitely will be on the fence to watch the gameplays first before I decide if it's for me.
I actually liked the aspect of being the builder, I'm not sure how i'm gonna feel about the things being switched I LOVE This franchise though don't get me wrong haha i'm very excited for this game but not sure how i'll like the new change.
That ain't a mayor that's the Hokage lol This looks amazing, I couldn't even make a character I liked on Portia and I still need to finish Sandrock. Felt weird with the pet dlc dropping and all my pets were already max level, plus the way it ran on release I'll probably start over. I like how home girl kinda threw away the old art style to the wind at the end. Might look into Kickstart for the first time, definitely will get it in Early Access.
I liked Portia, but haven't played sandrock yet. It's always just expensive enough that other games in that price range get purchased first. Maybe when this new title comes out Epic will add sandrock to their free games on Thursdays one week.
I am so happy for the new My time game and I will support the kickstarter. But it lookes like they cancelled their plans for the mobile game and moved it to PC/consol as the premise is the same.
Listen to Bubbles on that matter y'all, if your only option to play this would be the Switch and you're only even funding it in hope for a Switch port, them just don't do it, save your money, wait, and them if there ever is a Switch port you just buy it when it comes out, we've gone through this way to many times to still be making the same mistakes.
Wanna make a hero/heroin perfect for this one. Hopefully we get to have an option to adjust body proportions (chests, muscles, curviness etc.) and height. Dont wanna have a character that looks like a kid.
Am I the only one that thinks the heads on the men especially look just a smidge too small? Like they got a case of the manhwa art style. Either way, I'm going to support this, and I'm really glad I'll actually be able to support it this time. I didn't even know Sandrock was a thing to support until it was already being announced for release.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it? Not sure why Pathea decided to move to essentially a settlement builder rather than stick to player as builder. Not sure I want to be in charge. Excited, but fear it won't have a My Time At feel as a governor. Game looks amazing, but just concerned. I loved the MTA games because they're different than your normal farming/settlement builder style game. ETA: Judging by the number of comments from people who didn't like the My Time At games but are interested in this one, I guess I see why Pathea is trying something different. Still wish they'd stick to what made them special.
I get Palia vibes from the visuals and not sure that's a good thing. But I'll be keeping track of this to see how it develops. It sounds neat, but I play mostly on Switch and I haven't gotten Sandrock yet because it doesn't run well on there, like you said. So performance is going to be a key factor here for me, and of course, whether it actually comes out on the Switch, or Switch 2. But I hope the KS does well for them! However, it’ll be a pass for me. I’m done backing video game KS. Too risky for me and I’ve been disappointed too often. Once it's released, I'll watch reviews and make a decision. I'm also not much for survival mechanisms. Oh, but if I get to play it, I would totally romance Ragnar. 😍
Hey Bubbles, Sandrock was released on the PS4 right? I plan on rebuying that game since my PC isn't capable of playing the game (the lag has been horrendous since it fully came out). I was waiting for the Switch version to get better too. This game has my interest, but I will say right now, if there are survival mechanics and there's no way to turn them off, I won't get it. There are a few things that make a game an automatic "no" for me, and that's one of them.
I remember playing the first "my time" game in EA and then restarting when 1.0 came out and finishing it, and I found it pretty entertaining to be a builder that kinda builds up a town, but I just couldn't get into the 2nd one at all, I think my taste for their art style change and I really didn't like it that much anymore, the chars also weren't as interesting to me, and I found myself really not liking most of the char designs, especially the female marriage candidates. This new entry looks kinda interesting though, the art design looks better and the new direction of you being the mayor might be a good change for the franchise, I look forward to future updates on it.
Problem is: Sandrock is a co-op game. But it has a singleplayer version that gives more options for romance, having babies, more cutscenes, more story. And so most players chose to play solo. Resulting in the devs making dlc's for the singleplayer version only. Us co-opers didn't get and monster whispering, no roller coaster, no gecko pet, no love chronicles. I bought it for co-op, but I feel left out on all the fun things. We did get monster traps, dance off festival, 4 person mounts, clothing dlc and some furniture. But it still feels like being the unloved stepchild. Evershine is co-op aswell. And I don't understand. They want to do it better this time? Or same thing will happen again and people are massively going to play solo? I don't know what to expect. I guess I'll buy it and willingly step into this toxic relationship, hoping I won't get hurt this time.

I think it's safe to say that the My Time games have a decent sized fanbase.🤣
And I'm 100 percent supporting my time at ever shine
This is gonna be good! Can't wait
They went full Manga/Anime with this game designs while keeping their characteristic graphic style.
i'm so hyped for this game it looks so good!
Its giving Palia, but definitely way better and finally a good story hopefully
I've never played a My Time At game yet, but this does look fun. Even more intriguing is the subtle Switch Successor mention in the platform list
Looks good, I own the previous 2 games, about time I play them.. x)
I hope we get a more expansive skill tree as well as a higher level cap, I like crafting and whatnot, but my personal favorite thing in Sandrock and Portia is the combat lol
I bought the first two soon as they were available. I will buy this one too.😁
I played my time at sandrock recently didn’t finish the game yet (92 hours already) on ps5 it was great and I’m sooo HAPPY that the next game will be on ps5 as well!
I want Mister Ginger climbing that mountain, if you get my meaning. I hope he's available 😏 Looking forward to when this one comes out!
i got one or 2 of the other games on a big sale and havent gotten to them yet. but the artstyle and more rpg elements and the romance of the upcoming one makes me wanna get it right away!
Wahh can't wait for this ✨✨🙏
I want to be able to make a character that looks like the guy climbing the cliff.
Def try Sandrock, it's amazing!
OMG! I could actually play a male protagonist in a My Time game that looks older than thirteen!
lmao
Looks like they're leaning into an almost Final Fantasy style, and I'm here for it.
This doesn't even seem like a My Time game with the art direction.
You're still going to be able to mine, dive, build, but with the added challenge of managing people.
definetely hyped for this, hope the combat gets improved
That ain't a mayor that's the Hokage lol
This looks amazing, I couldn't even make a character I liked on Portia and I still need to finish Sandrock. Felt weird with the pet dlc dropping and all my pets were already max level, plus the way it ran on release I'll probably start over.
I like how home girl kinda threw away the old art style to the wind at the end. Might look into Kickstart for the first time, definitely will get it in Early Access.
The DOUBLETAKE i made with the muscular red haired man (Ragnar) came on screen O_O
I'm waiting your video to play this gameeeeee!!! ❤❤❤❤❤
i just made a My Time at Sandrock first look video, now this is interesting
If they make it as My Time at Genshin Palworld, I would die happy 😊
As in you would like a game like that? Or prefer it's not like that?
I was interested until I found out I had to be the mayor.
oh my god 😭😭😭 im so excited
Seems like a game worth checking out. Kinda feels like a more adult version of Palia looking at the trailer which could be interesting ^^
kinda looks like palia
I liked Portia, but haven't played sandrock yet. It's always just expensive enough that other games in that price range get purchased first.
Maybe when this new title comes out Epic will add sandrock to their free games on Thursdays one week.
I played my time at sandrock on Xbox Series X. I have rarely had lags , so it was feeling Smooth so i dont complain about Little bugs
I m so happy i love my time games and Sandrock was already amazing . I also wish they could re issue portia with better graphics
Was really hoping for updated horse models to match the new characters.
I never really liked the other My Time games but this one looks pretty clean. Definitely adding to my wishlist!
I am so happy for the new My time game and I will support the kickstarter. But it lookes like they cancelled their plans for the mobile game and moved it to PC/consol as the premise is the same.
I love these games but I've been burnt hard by crowdfunding, so I'll wait for a full PC release.
Kinda glad they decided to hange the art style
Am I the only one that thinks the heads on the men especially look just a smidge too small? Like they got a case of the manhwa art style.
Either way, I'm going to support this, and I'm really glad I'll actually be able to support it this time. I didn't even know Sandrock was a thing to support until it was already being announced for release.
Honestly, the aesthetics remind me of Palia too much... but there will be more gameplay mechanics than in Palia so I might check it out.
The girl in the thumbnail looks like Jinx from League of Legends.
Hot people and city building?!? Count me in 😂
Will it still be fun playing solo and no mods for ps5?
I hope so much logan comes back as dlc Bachelor 😅😂
IVE ALWAYS WANTED TO BE THE MAYOR STOPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP
Will it include a beach volleyball minigame?
Get out 😭
I get Palia vibes from the visuals and not sure that's a good thing.
