This is great--thank you so much! Fantastic tutorial on how to uplevel your Zoom calls. Two questions: 1) How would you change this set up if your camera doesn't need a capture card (e.g. Sony A7IV allows usb streaming at 1080p) and 2) if instead of the Rode Streamer X, you have a Rodecaster Pro II? Currently my Rodecaster and my camera are both plugged into the PC via usb. The Director Mini, however, has some cool features like you showed in your video, including graphics overlay, video-by-video, etc. Thanks so much in advance!
In this case, I believe you can plug your camera into the Magewell Director Mini itself as a webcam input, and then still use the Rode Unify app to sort out your audio. The Streamer X here is allowing you to send the camera feed to your computer for normal webcam duties and out to the Director Mini for that high quality recording. With the setup you're thinking about, you would then have to use the webcam output of the Director Mini (I'm assuming it has one) as your camera in Zoom and you may or may not want the extra features and scene switching for Zoom. It also might make the audio mix/minus more difficult, as the Director Mini will probably want to output everything via USB and could cause issues.
Thanks! I actually did a video about that several years ago! How to get the BEST QUALITY recordings of your Zoom presentations with the ATEM Mini Extreme ISO th-cam.com/video/I473FLo-Bug/w-d-xo.html
also by the way this snot only for video camera ya keep buying this for what it is meant to do using the capture card too record on my switch series x and my gaming pc
How’s the video output looking from the Rode? The compression? Crunchy blacks? I am looking for an alternative for my Atem that never got the contrast and colors right when using USB as a webcam.
"and that's it.." HA!! Wow that's complicated!! My head is spinning..🤯 that will need to be followed in slow mo one step at a time...can the same thing be done with the Yoloboxes? After some time, which box are you preferring? Director Mini or Yolobox Ultra?
Haha yeah there's a lot going on here! Hopefully the diagrams help. You can do the same on the YoloBox since it also has USB audio input. There are pros and cons to both, so it will depend on what else you need.
@@aaronpk I actually just sent you an email with much longer questions describing what I need help with so it doesn't clog up your channel videos here. I'm new to these boxes and trying to find the best solution
So I don't have the Magewell Director but I do have a YoloBox Ultra and the Streamer X. Surely there a way to make that work but with zoom I normally just use the Streamer X I don't need recording so it go enough. If your going to spend that much money may I suggest a better mic than the Pod Mic? At least the Procaster Mic if you have a quite room go with the Earthwork Ethos..
Wow this is so awesome. I am always looking for new and better ways to service my corporate clients. I have invented my own ways but this is so good.

Fantastic tutorial. Wish you could do one if an Atem extreme is used.

Podrías hacer el mismo video pero utilizando el Yolobox en lugar del director mini

@@mattwruff I believe you can also use the Ninja V
will this solution also work with MS Teams?
Yep it should be the same idea with any video conferencing app
