This video inspired me to grow basil + you said it's a good companion plant for tomatoes and I'm so happy I successfully plant them both from seeds. I wish I could show you. Thank you so much for your step to step videos, I learned a lot from you. I have a lot of basil now, and my tomatoes are still growing. . . Have a wonderful day ~ 😊🍀

your plants look so healthy and beautiful. I had about 3 different variety of basil ( lemon, cinnamon and ?) that I bought from a nursery. I have no luck with basil. They alway get this black spot on their leaves and then I hardly used basil for some reason or the other, and they usually start flowering after a period of time. I do trim them down, now and again, but I do not think I will be planting basil again.
Hello. I grew cinnamon one in the past too. But from seed. I used to have the same problem, until I started to grow all herbs from seed. They are much stronger, I think You should give it a try. If You keep pruning the tops regulary, basil will produce foliage for whole season. The key is to do it regulary (more often than I did in the video). I hope You will have more success with Basil growing from seed 🍀 ThankYou very much ☺
When I do the cuttings I put the stems into a bottle of water and in about 3 weeks I plant them. I have dozens of basil plants from one cutting. We have hornworms bad here in Arkansas and the basil does help.
Mother Earth bless those beautiful hands!
I love how you showcase the beauty and simplicity of rural living. Your video is truly inspiring!
Thank You very much! I am happy You like the video 😊🍀

That's right, basil is easy to propagate by cuttings. Friend with 🍅 to fight those hornworms 💪🌱
1:57 you should have start seedling here and save the transplant time and root shocks
nice, what about if u let grow 3 stems per pot ? would it be bushier and lower ? aesthetically I prefer less tall and bushier
I don’t think people grow it for aesthetic but for the harvest
@@育周谢 yea, but 3 steams per pot maybe would grow bushier and with more leafs, i dunno
Not in this size pot. You can definitely grow three plants, but in adequately bigger container.
I smell them through the screen 😌
☺🌱
Same! Ahaha
do you grow rosemary? would love to see a video on that :)
It's on the way 😉
The size is impressive the maximum size of basil I grew was 3 stems and 10 inches or a foot tall
It can all depend on the variety. Some varieties grow 90cm (3ft) tall or even more, while others are rather short - 30cm (1ft).
Thank You very much ☺🍀
200 days to grow habanero peppers, in which country does the sun shine for so long?
Wat does the coffee grounds do
They release nitrogen and they are also source of potassium, phosphorus, calcium and other nutrients.
Which country You live ?
Hello, I live in Slovakia.
@@Liap great I'm from Poland ☺️
@@violetdavis4621Hello neighbor 👋☺
Basil and tomato spells summer
That's correct! ☺🌱🍅
Mate the high light of my summer in Australia is fresh basil and sun ripened tomatoes especially on homemade focaccia. Now I’m hungry 😋
