It's wild how satisfying this game is to watch. Can't wait for more episodes! (I keep having to remind myself about how miserable the work undoubtedly is IRL.)
I'm so excited for the zip line! Can't wait to see you zipping from one end of a ship to another then maybe over to the shop to sell! I'm not sure how it works but if you can do that, it will be awesome.
Hint: Drop all the items on the deck, by the entry point, everytime your inventory gets filled and go fill it up again... rinse and repeat (even working through the night), so long as you can afford to pay for the ship, the items will stay there...when the ship is completely stripped, fill your inventory up (with R) - empty it into car, fill inventory again...refine everything you can -- then go back to your wonderful pile of scrap on the deck...rinse & repeat until nothing remains (sell everything you don't need) If you read the tips everytime you sleep, you will notice it mentions ship items remain in place, when beach items re-spawn at 8am -- also sleep is not needed, EVER, unless you are waiting on a delivery.
Dude! I was so going to recommend he give HS:SB a go! God I love the music in that game. Makes me feel like I'm in a shipyard in the Firefly 'verse, just scraping old clunkers ....
Another game like this that you may enjoy is Hard space: shipbreaker, it’s similar to this game but it’s in space and more focused on risk and reward. It doesn’t have any crafting system like this game and you can’t save ships. But it is fun to fly around the ships and use the tools the game provides.
Pro Tip, get your lock pick skill to max, those safes are 100 percent worth the effort, usually gold and silver, I made 40k off one of the ships with 3 safes on it.
Leveling up the shop, furnace and barracks has been what I concentrate on so far. if I get them maxed out I will do the shop on the other side and buy the tent.
I'm definitely late, but that's a roll on/roll off cargo ship. Used to transport cars and other stuff that can get itself on the ship. Notable for being both less safe than a regular cargo ship, and much more versatile. Besides usual duties, they've been used as troop ships, barracks ships, and aircraft carriers. Besides notably being used to ferry aircraft during the Falklands war, post-war plans included quick conversion kits for these types of shops into proper aircraft carriers.
Start at the center point and hit space bar it will tell you which way you need to go with the mouse. Thus preventing breaking the lockpick. The feel and logic rule in doing this fast and not breaking anything. It may take a while but anyone can do it.
I was really not sure if I wanted to play this game or if I was just happy watching someone else play, but that giant ship sort of made it seem worth playing. That looks fun as heck.
Can't tell you how much i love this game! Also be careful when you sell you can also make 2 oils in kerosene and you make more money. Congrats on the 800k!!!
a qol improvement for this game would be that parking your truck close to the smelter or whatever it's called would automatically allow you to use materials from inside it's storage without having to take them into your personal inventory.
1.) You can spend points on both lines. You aren't stuck with either better market prices or cheaper ship payments, for example, or more worker materials vs less worker wages. You *can* get both. 2.) Your best source of both money and levels is easily going to be manager orders. Within a couple of days, I've already maxed out all the skill trees and accrued over $200k. Suffice to say, they're an easy way to cheese the game.
It’s clear RCE is playing this correctly because he is indeed progressing, but the perfectionist/goblin in me screams for it would have stripped EVERYTHING out of each ship, especially that last ferry one. Maybe it’s more of the Mr. Krabs in me lol
I bought this last week after watching RCE play it. This weekend I did a playthrough where I didn't board any ship, just used hired workers to make $600k
fyi you can drop all the materials on the floor and make a massive pile before selling so you can go through it and upgrade them to the best material through the furnace, Aslong as u dont sleep it never dissapears, I spent like 4 days getting everything off a large ship and just put it all in one huge pile infront of the furnace so thats how i know :L
1st ship you get is the smallest one maybe twice. This is the second one. looks like twice. This is to level up the Shop twice and the furnace 1 time. i have not got to the barracks yet but have bought it.
It's 6 AM and I haven't slept. I saw the video and as I clicked it and waited for it to load I just said "Boosh Boosh Boosh Boosh Boosh" very quickly 😂
Technically no. Steel is a refinement of iron, with a small carbon content. Carbon isn't metal you see. Alloyed steel has other metals in it. But I know what you mean. Perhaps a better wording would be mild steel.
Matt, you pay $900/day for that ship. That is why the other boat wasn't available when you had no money. This is a recurring fee, and so you only have to earn more than that fee each day.
I'm so lost at the first 2mins, did those industrial beams that were for structural support, which usually are made of marine steel just turn into copper? If you had a full beam sized chunk of copper that would be the average person set for years. The amount of things I would do with that much copper xD
I've now got over 50 hours on this game, and over level 215. A few tips. (And maybe some spoilers, read on at own risk). It's not always profitable to smelt stuff. Sometimes you will get more for the separate parts depending on the market. When you're cutting beams and pipes, you get more material the closer to the ends you cut. if you aim at the end, your character will move in when you click. It will tell you before you cut it how much material is in it. if you get less, you've left some on. I have found the truck to be a waste of time. Sprinting everywhere is much faster. What i normally do when clearing a ship, is clear it in sections. For the super structure for example, I start at the bridge, or on top of it for some ships, and clear my way down. As i hot each level, i open all the doors on that level. As i clear each room, I close the door behind me on the way out. for the rest of the ship, I might use deck markings or the decks themselves to split up the sections. I just do it in my head at the time. I make a lot of use of the R key and pile everything up near the ladder. before running back inventory loads. When my inventory is full, I sprint back and dump my load. I tend to make three piles, one for each quality of material. You can drop stuff by opening your inventory and right clicking it. It will fall to the ground in front of you. The only problem with this method is that sometimes items fall through the ground and are lost forever. But the efficiency more than makes up for it. Here's a big one, you dont need to sleep. When the next day starts, all the items you dropped will stay there. they only disappear if you sleep. There is no penalty for not sleeping and you can work continuously. You only need to sleep if you have nothing left to do and you want to speed up the arrival of the next ship. When I've cleared a ship i dismiss it, but I dont order the next one right away. I sort the three piles of materials into their separate piles, then start smashing work orders. The piles make it easy to essentially pick and pack what I need. Only three NPCs give work orders and sprinting between them is quick. Its also a very quick way to build the bank fast, as often you will get double for the materials in a work order than you would if you just sold them. While doing the work orders, look out for chests and boxes around town. there are quite a few. A good way to make an extra buck. If you hire workers, they should cover everything you need to cover wages and the booking fees if you just sell everything they collect. The more workers the better. Very couple of days they only half filled the chest and I could cash it in for 4-5k. You might think there's a lot of spoilers in this info, but this only scratches the surface as far as maximising gameplay. (Its also all your fault, I wouldnt have bought the game if not for seeing it on this channel :p ). I've been very active in the steam forums and there is a lot more coming in the future. This game has so much potential. I hope you make it a regular feature! Also happy to help out in the comments with questions. Ask away.
I couldn't wait for your next video last Saturday, so I bought the game and spent 3 days playing it. I got to level 46 and have like 53k in the bank. All with the game clock saying day 15. BTW the beach is the key to the game. All of that stuff resets when you go to sleep. If you ever need, rusted steel, copper or iron the beach is your friend.
It's wild how satisfying this game is to watch. Can't wait for more episodes!

Could be worse, like flipping burgers at McDonald's.
@@Burn377 here in NL it was pretty good to flip some burgers for a year, at 16 y old ez money tho

Why is it so entertaining to watch Matt hammer things?
coz he booshes
BOOSH
That's what she said
Oioi
Cause its Matt

This game always makes me want to watch Matt playing Hardspace Shipbreaker. Pretty much the same concept, but way better game.
Dude! I was so going to recommend he give HS:SB a go! God I love the music in that game. Makes me feel like I'm in a shipyard in the Firefly 'verse, just scraping old clunkers ....
@@WNytes YES! THE MUSIC IS SO PERFECT!
Agreed
Is that game available on android
@@Maxplaysouthafrica Nope. Hardspace: Shipbreaker is available only on Steam (PC)

Yeeeees, im liking very much this series. I might play the game myself its just so relaxing and satisfying
RCE channel is growing really fast! It's like every time I check its almost double the size. Congrats Matt!

Oh, and SOCOM recently converted one into an SOF ship.

I love watching this series!
This is a therapeutic to watch as it must be to play.
Love this series, hopefully you decide to continue to unlock everything.
This is an Aspen tree, you can tell that it's an aspen tree by the way it is.
That's pretty neat.
I love this game
Keep up the great work !
why am I so hyped up about expolsives and plasma cutters lmao.
Can't wait to see the next one!
Recommend Hardspace: shipbreaker. Its like this game but in the future with space ships, plus you dismantle the whole ship. Really cool game.
Now I know how neat Ship Graveyard Simulator is, instead of just Real Civil Engineer knowing it.
I bought this last week after watching RCE play it. This weekend I did a playthrough where I didn't board any ship, just used hired workers to make $600k
Please continue this series, I can't explain it.. I don't know why.. but I love this gameplay!!!
A real great series!
Love this series Matt, keep it going
I love your channel and it's amazing how fast it's grown! thanks for the vid, this is a great series
It's so fun to watch the big ships
800k already? Congratulations
Life's a beach and Matt's hammering it.
You gotta cut the beams a little closer to the edge to get all the materials, otherwise same time with less sweet loot. XD
I love watching Matt destroy ships
The neature walk reference was gold
A comment for the algorithm gods. More please, love this series.
I too will put in my vote for you to try Hardspace Shipbreaker.
Dismantle ships with cutting lasers like in Titan AE!
