    Pure blue RO system has a post filter that improves the taste of the water. The result is very low PPM and higher Ph.

    its the ppm that is the issue with non alkalized waters. acidity can me altered but the ppm is how pure the water is. RO is for lowering ppm not alkalizing water.

    Does anyone REALLY understand what pH is?? 7.0 is completely neutral pH, the pH of pure water. It is neither acidic or basic. ANYTHING above 7.0 is basic.
    Your RO makes your coffee taste better because its softer and purer than tap water. RO filters remove bad tap water taste. And the pH should be much lower coming out of your RO filter. IF your pH meter is working correctly then something is wrong with the RO filter. Maybe some residue left in the tank from manufacturing? And drinking more alkaline (basic) water just means your stomach needs to make more acid to neutralize it. different parts of the body have different pH's. The digestive track is very acidic, the blood is slightly basic.

    Hello all. On RO water you should have a ph of around 6 to say 6.5. If you are seeing a jump like that in PH at the tap you have the waste line hooked up to the sink and the drinking water line going down the drain. Man the taste. That would be like using lime for powdered creamer.

    I bought the filter system but not the osmosis tank. Should I have or are the filters enough?

      Filters work. Osmosis system is different then just filters but both work.

    How water has more minerals after the Costco filter?

    • @oblivionzephyr3897
      @oblivionzephyr3897 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      ph doesn't measure the amount of minerals in the water, it measures the amount of hydrogen ions in the water

      oblivion zephyr that makes no sense, when I put salt in water PH goes up, when I take salt out of water ph goes down.
      How salt makes more hidrógeno in the water?
      For real, I am curious and always ready to learn.
      I have the theory that the mechanical filtration gives some parts of the filter in the water, perhaps he needs to clean more his filter in first use.

  • @djbillevans

    Great. Actually, the acidity isn't the problem with the tap water and coffee, it's the chemicals put into public water that make it taste bad. The ph level of the water is really not relevant as the acidity in the coffee, or the acidity in your stomach will neutralize the ph in the water anyway. Maybe he can clean up his kitchen next time he makes a video as well.
