Lara Fabian is The Ultimate Artist ! An absolutely unique combination of Emotion, Tonal quality, enunciation, and a powerful delivery...............and no-one, nobody, zip, zilch, nada has resonance to match.
She is the Queen - long may she reign. Everything she does is intentional, she is a living masterclass. Fair warning, do not do any more videos or you will be in a life long relationship with her unable to escape. .
Perdere l'amore, ...to lose the love, ...Is a famous Italian song. Once again the very beautiful, very strong but velvety voice of Lara. A singer with endless breath control and without trembling (vibrato) her voice. Lara always sings so effortless, never ugly faces in high notes . Lot's of expression and emotions. She can manipulate her voice like she wants and connects the words and sentences so seamlessly. Lara speaks Italian (beside French, English and Spanish) herself so Lara can put the right and strong expressions and emotions in every word. Really a joy and a pleasure tot listen to and captivating performances to look at ... It is a voice you can listen the whole day .
More information on Lara Fabian: Lara is recognized as one of the best vocalist ever seen on earth and all professionals list her in the top vocalist tier with Barbra, Whitney, Mariah, Celine, Lisa Fischer, .... In my personal opinion, she is even the best. There are a few vocal characteristics that are her signature: her famous resonance for instance that allows her to sing acapella without mic in venues with 8,000 attendees. Her nickname in the singing world is "the ring" due to this. I would also list her amazing phrasing, breath management and her pleasant tone even when belting in her upper register. So she is one of the best vocalist ever, but on top of that, she adds a few things that make her an absolute package with no equivalence: • she speaks 2 languages natively (french, italian), and 2 others fluently (english, spanish), can speak a bit of dutch (and sicilian), and understand quite well russian and portuguese. She has sung in 12 languages in total • she is an amazing songwriter and wrote lyrics for most her songs, in the 4 languages she speaks fluently. She often co-composes the music with the composer. • she acts and performs on stage as nobody else, she colors and reveals the meaning of every single word in the songs, and her ability to emote, to draw you in is second to none • she is the sweetest soul on earth, very humble, down to earth and benevolent. She likes to meet others, and her fans are always pleasantly surprised when this happens. A quick background on her and her career: She is belgian, her father is flemish, but also has italian roots (her mother is from sicilia) and American roots ( her grandfather is from Detroit). She was raised in sicilia first then in Belgium so she speaks both italian and french as native languages. She has been classically trained on vocal, piano and songs composition for 10 years ( from 8 to 18) in the Brussels Royal Conservatory. She is still having vocal lessons and training several times a week today. She started her career in Canada in the early 90s, more precisely in Quebec, the french-speaking part of Canada. She had been living for years in Montreal and has also Canadian citizenship. She just moved back to Italy a few months ago (temporarily?). She became very famous in Quebec and then conquered France in 1996/1997 (she topped charts there and some of her songs such as "Je t'aime" or "Tout" became classics of the french music). In 2000, she was about to penetrate the US Market, with a lot of media initial interest. Her first english song (I will love again), a pop dance song, stayed number one on the US Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart for 58 weeks in a row and number 32 on the Billboard Hot 100. Her Album ("Lara Fabian") was about to become a massive hit, and the concert "From Lara With Love" was recorded to be broadcasted everywhere in the US. This concert is legendary, packed with masterpieces (covered by many great vocalists later on). But a dispute with Sony on artistry directions, and the will from Celine Dion's staff to block her progress in the US, completely broke this plan. She thus refocused back on Europe and made huge success there, extending her reach to Eastern Europe and Central Asia where she became an absolute superstar through her collaboration with Igor Krutoy during several years. She is absolutely massive in Russia for instance. She is also a star in Brazil as her song "Love By Grace", used as the soundtrack for a very famous soap opera, topped the charts for months and become a recurrent in the local singing contests since then. Many of her songs became classics and were covered by the other singing legends: Barbra Streisand, Shirley Bassey, Josh Groban (they are friends and he told she is a role model for him), … With her success in Europe, Brazil and part of Asia, she is the inspiration of the new generation of vocalists: most of them are coming from there. Thru their covers of Lara Fabian songs, USA and many other countries are now rediscovering her. She is Dimash's idol: I’ve read somewhere that, when he was a child, he was listening her songs every night to get asleep. He covered many of her songs, most of these were composed by Igor Krutoy and written by by Lara. Out of my mind I can list: ○ Adagio (She wrote it and is the original performer), ○ Mademoiselle Hyde (she wrote it and is the original performer), ○ Love of Tired Swans (she wrote the song in French under the title "Je t'aime encore" and was the original performer of the french then the russian versions, Dimash covered the russian version) ○ Ascolta La Voce / Vocalize (this was a pure vocalization and she was the original performer, then lyrics were added for Dimash and it was rebranded as "Know") She also wrote the lyrics of Dimash's song "Your Love". And she covered "Love is like a dream" before him (song from Igor Krutoy originally performed by Alla Pugacheva). Finally, they also performed "Ti Amo Cosi" together, in trio with Aida Garafulina: this is a song that she performed originally with Dmitri Hvorostovsky and Sumi Jo then again later with Dmitri and Alina Yarovaya, before this new trio with Dimash and Aida. Dimash is now also working with Igor Krutoy: Igor and Dimash connected after his Adagio cover, also endorsed by Lara. Igor came back from retirement and composed severals songs for him after it. Many other top vocalists from the current generation covered her songs, some have Lara as a role model and big inspiration: ○ Floor Jansen (Adagio), ○ Polina Gagarina (Adagio, Je t’aime), ○ Diana Ankudinova (Tomorrow is a lie), ○ Morissette Amon (Broken Vow), ○ Gabriel Henrique (Love by Grace), ○ Cakra Khan (Broken Vow), ○ Katrina Velarde (Broken Vow), ○ Regine Velasquez (Broken Vow), ○ Dmitri Hvorostovsky (Adagio), ○ Giulia Falcone (Adagio, Caruso, Je suis malade, Je t'aime), ○ Forestella (Je suis Malade), ○ Almira (from 4th Impact band) (Broken Vow), ○ Gigi de Lana (Broken Vow) ○ Julie Anne san Jose (Adagio, Broken Vow), ○ Rimar ( Adagio, Broken Vow, Know), ○ Il Divo (Adagio) ○ Daria Bentsa (I guess I loved you), ○ Sarah Geronimo (Broken Vow) ○ Laura Bretan ( Adagio, Caruso), ○ Jackie Evancho (Je t’aime, Caruso and Broken Vow, BV rewritten as « Imaginer » by Lara for Jackie), ○ Amir (Je t’aime), ○ Vitas (Adagio), ○ Anastasia Luna (Adagio), ○ Jeck (Je T’Aime), ○ Evgenia Fanfara (Adagio), ○ Anna Eriksson (Je suis malade), ○ Choi Sung Hoon (Je suis malade), ○ Soprano Turetsky band (Adagio) ○ Majda Roumi (Adagio), ○ Harrison Craig (Broken Vow), ○ Petra Berger (Adagio, Broken Vow), ○ Katerina Maslova (Je t’aime, I guess I loved you) ○ Sevara Nazarkhan (Je t’aime) ○ .... NB: Lara did cover Caruso , Je suis malade, and Love by grace, these are not her originals, but I mention these here as the related artists were attracted to cover it again after listening to Lara’s version. Today, Lara still has an amazing voice and tone and can still reach the 5th octave with resonance ; she still offers these emotive renditions that are her unique signature. In June 2022, she kicked off a WW tour and stunned her fans once again with 5 magical concerts in Canada. She completed the europe part in September/October and I attended a concert from this tour. It was packed and she was again spectacular. On April and May 2023 she had again a wonderful concerts in Tbilissi, Georgia, and in Ouzbekhistan and Kazakhstan. Sorry if I was long, but I hope this gives some context on Lara.
The breathing is part of the song,, like her gestures and expression. Lara is just not a sound. Lara its an amzing experience. Unfortunatelly i cant repeat the emotion to listen all her songs for the first time again. But im lucky when i can see other people doing it. Thx for post
I was told that this is the song that got Dimash hooked on Lara when he was a child. She is one of his idols and he covered several of her songs. She even wrote a song for him and they sang together. She is the reference for many other vocalists. The absolute best in resonance, storytelling and emotions conveying. David Foster produced her version of the canada national anthem (probably one of the best), he invited her as a special guest on his famous David Foster and Friends concert and introduced her by saying: "I am grateful to live in a world of great voices, and blessed to have work with many of these, but, believe me, the woman I will introduce you to is TOP OF THE HEAP of the world greatests voices. When we first met her, we couldn’t believe what we were hearing, it was a voice from another planet or something !"
He is also on record (and TH-cam!),... declaring Celine as the greatest. Unquestionably the two greatest female vocalists of all time, but David has been sat on that fence so long he probably needs a tetanus injection up his ass !!!!! Just saying.
🇨🇦 You will notice as well, the more songs you listen to, that Lara sings every syllable of every word to the end in each line of each lyric, completely and clearly, no matter which language she sings in !
Next up, “Je Suis Malade” and depending on your French you may need the English subtitles. Pure channeling and emotional. Great reaction Ray, keep them coming.
Welcome to the wonderful vocal universe of Lara Fabian. I hope your enthusiasm brings us more extraordinary performances from Lara Fabian. Thank you from Montreal.
Been following her since 1991 when she moved to Québec Province from Belgium. She wrote more than 200 songs, 16 albums, 30 million sold and now at 53yo still touring the world. Not very well known in The USA, but i will let others tell you this sad story. Every time you ear a new song from her, it becomes your new favorite....Yess theres, Céline, Mariah, Withney, but Lara is in an other league with Dimash
She's my favorite singer of all time. There is a big reason why she is not only one of Dimash's biggest idols while he was growing up, but many of the new generation of singers' as well. Who can they get inspired by who could inspire so much emotion in their audience? That's not even one of her best songs. "Je Suis Malade" and "Caruso" are COVERS that she sang, but once she covered them, her covers became the best version of the songs! Before Dimash she worked many times with Igor Krutoy. Dimash covered several of her songs (apart from duets he sang with her), including Adagio, Mademoiselle Hyde, Love is a Dream, etc...
"Adagio", "Je suis malade" (and so many others) are just amazing... You will soon be a fan of this very humble, adorable and so talented woman 😉❤️ (watch these songs from the same live "From Lara with love")
This was a made for TV concert to highlight Lara's ability to sing in English, although she did sing in 5 languages during the concert. Lara is a polyglot and speaks several languages fluently. In my opinion the entire concert is magical. One of the best singers on the planet, she is a true diva. The 2 record labels, Columbia and Sony, did not want Lara and Céline Dion competing with one another, so Céline was marketed in North America and Lara in Europe and Quebec. Shame, really. If you are looking for something of Lara's to react to, I would highly recommend her 2011 Juno awards performance of LOVE BY GRACE. It is a beautiful song and this is her best performance of it. Keep up the good work.
@@ildefonsobenitez6624 - When I mentioned that ''one of'' is a blasphemy, I just meant that she WAS the greatest performer of the last thirty years and I simply can't think of any female artist who could have sung the way she did while displaying the emotions the way she did. If you know of one, let me know and I'll check it out.
@@JeanPaillard-to1hx Hello Jean, Lara is quite simply my favorite singer but I refuse to consider that she is the best singer in the world. Indeed, she conveys emotions like no one else when she sings but there are so many talents on earth who are capable of transmitting emotions like she does. I grant you that there are not many of them but they exist. In my eyes it is exceptional but for others it does not affect them at all. In any case, currently, of the great voices of the 90s, it is only her who continues to have a real career and do real concerts.
@@ildefonsobenitez6624 - Of course, it's a matter of conjecture. Personal taste is a factor of course. BUT, personally, I still can't put my finger on any other female artist who could replicate what Lara puts out and I also can't put my finger on any female artist that Lara couldn't replicate. Putting that aside, the single thing that irritates me the most is when reactors mention that Lara reminds them of Celine Dion. I just feel like exploding in a fury when that happens because Dion was as fake as fake can be. The harm she and her grand-daddy husband did to Lara which was purposely entirely centered on pushing her out of the way for grift and greed shows what that nasal chest pounding POS was worth in the decency aspect of her existence. Dion may have been a ''novelty'' at the time but I know for a fact that I'm not the only one who just couldn't stand her hypocritical ''self-manufactured coolness''. Furthermore, as MEJA had titled her award winning song in 1999 ''It's All About The Money'', the millions of spectators attending Dion's (Sin City) Las Vegas concerts were there mostly for the ''show'' with all of the gleam and glitter displayed, not mostly for her questionable talent. Dion didn't care. She may have sold a monumental amount of LPs and CDs and purchased lavish mansions here and there, that doesn't matter the least bit. In my mind, she remains what she was, a greedy grifting shameless POS. Show me a concert where Lara needed gleam and glitter to attract audiences. Lara's goal was not to get filthy rich. She was there to perform and to ''give'', not ''take''.
This is very long ago. She’s still recording and writing and touring the world. Everything on this concert From Lara With Love is fabulous. But don’t stop there! The En Tout Intimite concert is amazing, and IMHO Lara at her vocal best! Compare and contrast Je Suis Malada from this both performances and then find it from one of her performances from the last 2 or 3 years and you’ll really understand the gift she is!
Awesome reaction! ❤Absolutely the use of her breath into the mic is purely intentional to be more intimate & convey emotion. She is the ultimate performer! I don’t know any other artist that combines beautiful tone, control, colour, phrasing and range along with being a master at storytelling & conveying emotion. In addition she can sing in multiple languages, oh and she also is great songwriter too! Phew - enough gushing. More Lara please!!
Linda reacción! Saludos desde Costa Rica! Hermosa e increíble canción e interpretación de Lara Fabián, la mejor cantante e intérprete del mundo entero, la voz de cristal más bella y perfecta que existe! Por favor Reacciona a Caruso, You're not from here, To love again, I Guess i loved You, Quédate,Je suis malade , Tango, Parce que tu pars, Adagio,Broken vos, Traviatta, Desesperate hausewife, Lebedy, Mademoiselle hide! Gracias!
Somehow i got a feeling that you liked this Lara's performance. Right? 😁 No wonder, it is absolutely brilliant. Like almost every song she performed that night. This concert is definetely one of the best ever. And Lara truly shows that she is the master and Queen of vocals. Thank you for reacting and analysing this greatness! 😎
Lara is still very active, her voice still grandiose , her look spectacular, She,s got a new world tour starting in april 2024, mostly Europe and mid/Asia ,after in June, its in Canada . Ottawa, Montréal. Québec city and Trois-Rivière, I've got my tickets for the 2 shows in Montréal, can't wait.
She's a legend! For your next reaction, always pick from this same 1999 concert: "Caruso", "Adagio", "Je suis malade" or "Broken vow"... they are all amazing.
Lara Fabian the most wonderful voice of her generation. My nr one of all time female voices. I fall in love with her every time I hear her sing. Thank you for sharing.❤
I fall in love with Lara Fabian every time I se her sing. She is crazy good and untuchable .Today she lives in Sicily with her husband. She is still going strong. I watched her concert in Tallin oct.2022. That was great. Cheers from Sweden.❤
From the same live show, Adagio, je suis malade, caruso. And you are right she uses the breathing a lot to bring emotion in many songs and it deliberate.
This is an all-stops-out song and Lara delivers the full measure of pathos and power, but miraculously never lets the passion override the artistry. It's incredible. Not to mention that glorious sound she produces that by itself takes the breath away. just incredible.
Gracias .😊
Whenever and wherever Lara gives a performance, she becomes the very story in the performance, drawing her audience in to experience it with her. Credit too go to all the musician accompanying them on that journey and giving added flavored atmosphere and energy to it all. Thank you for your reaction.
Lara Fabian è la migliore Cantante Donna Italiana Una colonna portante della musica italiana Grazie di tutte le la crime Di tante lacrime ABBRACCIAMI CON LA MENTE Grazie
There is no singer like Lara Fabian. You really should have a 'serious' look at her "En Tout Intimite" concert. Beyond amazing. What a singer's singer she is.
I recommend you to check "Je suis malde"; "Broken vow", "Adagio", "Caruso", "You are not from here", "Requiem pour un fou ft. Johnny Hallydey", "Je t'aime encore", "Mademoiselle hyde", "i guess i loved you" all live
i'm sorry but, firstly I had no idea this was a thing, secondly, as amazing as she is, this is a disservice to Massimo Ranieri. Admittedly very hard to cover it and she is amazing. that said, whom ever reads this, FIND MASSIMO RANIERI!!
the original version by Massimo Ranieri should also be listened to. vocally impeccable. Lara Fabian always pays splendid homages to Italian music, but the original versions are sometimes even more exciting. For example, “Caruso” in the original version by Lucio Dalla is unattainable in terms of quality and emotion.
she's 5 ' 3 " and exhibits this much power......................thank goodness she's not 6' 3" because my speakers couldn't handle that !
Nobody ever tires of Lara Fabian. I've watched Je suis malade like 500 times by now. Still, I cry most of the time.
OK, I throw in the towel 🫣
Lara Fabian is The Ultimate Artist ! An absolutely unique combination of Emotion, Tonal quality, enunciation, and a powerful delivery...............and no-one, nobody, zip, zilch, nada has resonance to match.

Every time you ear a new song from her, it becomes your new favorite....Yess theres, Céline, Mariah, Withney, but Lara is in an other league with Dimash
More Lara please. Thank you
She's my favorite singer of all time.
She does the breath to add to her performance. She’s incredible. Please react to more Lara 🙌🏼💕
"Adagio", "Je suis malade" (and so many others) are just amazing... You will soon be a fan of this very humble, adorable and so talented woman 😉❤️ (watch these songs from the same live "From Lara with love")
Tra I am A-WA, more recent one (in studio).
Thx for reacting the best. Please more Lara. All songs in this concert deserves a react
Lara's just one of the greatest performers of the last thirty years!
''One of'' is a blasphemy.
@@JeanPaillard-to1hx no it's true
Agree about En Toute Intimite, her best concert...
There are birds that can't soar as beautiful as that piece of art.
Lovely image!
That pianist who plays for her accompanies her so beautifully.
Linda reacción! Saludos desde Costa Rica! Hermosa e increíble canción e interpretación de Lara Fabián, la mejor cantante e intérprete del mundo entero, la voz de cristal más bella y perfecta que existe! Por favor Reacciona a Caruso, You're not from here, To love again, I Guess i loved You, Quédate,Je suis malade , Tango, Parce que tu pars, Adagio,Broken vos, Traviatta, Desesperate hausewife, Lebedy, Mademoiselle hide! Gracias!
Una maravilla de reacción, Lara es una gema única, es extraordinaria.
Nice reaction. If you hear Lara breathe during a song, it's because she wants you to hear it...
Lara Fabian is the best Singer I ever listen to, in my life ... Is just that!!!!
Penso che questa sia una delle più fantastiche interpretazioni di Lara , una mondiale cantante meravigliosa, inimitabile !!!!!!!
I fall in love with Lara Fabian every time I se her sing. She is crazy good and untuchable .Today she lives in Sicily with her husband. She is still going strong. I watched her concert in Tallin oct.2022. That was great. Cheers from Sweden.❤
Definitely need to listen "Je suis malade", you won't regret
🇨🇦 Be sure to read fully, the comments from Eric Sicard below ! My own recommendation is "You're not from here" which breaks me up every time !
From the same live show, Adagio, je suis malade, caruso. And you are right she uses the breathing a lot to bring emotion in many songs and it deliberate.
I don’t understand a word but her voice is the most beautiful and powerful I’ve heard, mesmerizing.
I was too long in the previous comment, so I'll leave for a second to send you a big hug and lots of encouragement to continue with your channel.
This is an all-stops-out song and Lara delivers the full measure of pathos and power, but miraculously never lets the passion override the artistry. It's incredible. Not to mention that glorious sound she produces that by itself takes the breath away. just incredible.
Preciosas Lara y la que reacciona :)
This is a nice gentle introduction to Lara. Warning, you will need tissues for many of the songs from this special, which touch the soul.
Lara is a gift from god honestly.... She gravitates into another category.
Thank you so much Miss Lara for bringing us so many magnificent emotions💘💯
Simply unbelievable. Her performance is out of this world.

You should really listen to Je Suis Malade from the same show.
I love seeing people instantly fall in love with Lara, it never gets old!
Every so often I revisit this song and it still brings tears to my eyes from the pure beauty and perfection of the performance.
I'd like to see another italian cover song of Lara Fabian "Caruso"
MERAVIGLIOSA CANZONE ITALIANA DEL GRANDE MASSIMO RANIERI.
Je Suis Malade, Adagio, Caruso, all from the same concert you've reacted, are just gems.
Whenever and wherever Lara gives a performance, she becomes the very story in the performance, drawing her audience in to experience it with her. Credit too go to all the musician accompanying them on that journey and giving added flavored atmosphere and energy to it all.
Thank you for your reaction.
Lara Fabian è la migliore Cantante Donna Italiana
Una colonna portante della musica italiana
Grazie di tutte le la crime
Di tante lacrime
ABBRACCIAMI CON LA MENTE

"Je suis malade" - an absolute must, my eyes cry EVERY time i hear it
My favorite song to Lara Fabian ❤❤❤
Loved your reaction to this unique performer who is really from another world far beyond Belgium or Canada!
There is no singer like Lara Fabian. You really should have a 'serious' look at her "En Tout Intimite" concert. Beyond amazing. What a singer's singer she is.
un artista molto sensible con una bellissima voce
My Queen, my Ring❤❤❤❤ te amo Lara
I love Lara ❤❤❤
Thank you for having left her a big image: all reactors should do the same.
It's vey important to see her face, her emotions
Ella es sinónimo de perfección.....

I suggest you listen to “je suis malade (I’m sick)”. (French live concert Paris 2001) and "Adagio" live English version.
and you don't react to "je suis malade" from the same live (eng sub version exist). ;)
Great reaction. Try more recent one (her recording in studio) I am A-WA ...
Check from Lara with love concert Adagio
❤Sweetly Blessed Sweetly ❤
i'm sorry but, firstly I had no idea this was a thing, secondly, as amazing as she is, this is a disservice to Massimo Ranieri. Admittedly very hard to cover it and she is amazing. that said, whom ever reads this, FIND MASSIMO RANIERI!!
wow.....
❤❤❤😊😊😊💖💖💖⛺️⛺️⛺️
👏 should listen to "Adagio" or "Je suis malade" from the same concert. 👍
You should react also to the song Caruso. You'll love it
Look lara fabian "yentl medley" théâtre Molson Montréal 1997 ❤❤❤
❤
the original version by Massimo Ranieri should also be listened to. vocally impeccable. Lara Fabian always pays splendid homages to Italian music, but the original versions are sometimes even more exciting. For example, “Caruso” in the original version by Lucio Dalla is unattainable in terms of quality and emotion.
Americans talk about soul. This IS Soul with a capital S.
