Don't get me wrong, I love Bts to the core, have loved and followed their path from their beginnings in 2013, and Hobi's latest music, mvs and his Lollapalooza solo nearly killed me, I was going crazy screaming and losing it, he is a force of fantastic talent that sent me through the roof.. but when Exo hit the scene in 2011, their vocals just conquered me completely, and they just hit different. But they are Exo and Bts is Bts. I love them for the talents and artistries that they are...which makes Exo and Bts my top 2 ult groups, followed by Nct. No one will ever compare to these 3 mega groups for me. I support everything they decide to do, and appreciate all of them as artists. Exo just be that group that have 9 incredibly talented individuals that never need to prove themselves. They made their mark on the kpop scene from 2011 on, and already made themselves legendary icons. As busy as they are, they have a hiatus now, and they have been diligently serving their country...only Kai and Sehun are left to enlist. I will cry then, just like I did as every member before them left. Now we're eagerly awaiting Baekhyun and Chanyeol's return soon, and then say goodbye to Kai and Sehun...
But for everyone to reunite in the coming years...it will be a blast. D.O. has a busy filming schedule since last year, and I can't wait for more music from him. In the meantime it's great that all members can dive into solo music when they do, showing their individual styles...I will wait for any group music they will put out, with any amount of members that are available...it's great that we can have solo, subunit or group music when they decide what to do...I'll take it all.

The start of this gave me a throwback, I remember in my friend group you were allowed to like either EXO or BTS. I picked EXO back then, because theeee taleeent! But I was for years a closeted ARMY like I never missed an upload listen to their music religiously and had a blast with compilation videos. But if someone asked me I wouldn’t say anything positive about them, _BeCAusE ExO is THe bEst_ we were stupid kids and the concept of liking 2 groups at ones seemed distant back then especially boy groups, especially during second Gen. Looking back I’m quite embarrassed, but the beef that EXO-L and ARMY had was on another level tho. 🫠 nowadays I have a giant Kai poster next to one of Taehyung and live my best Army-L life ✨
I think your not the only one who have the chance to love the two of them, I debut kpop with exo they are my first love and they were and are today too the best vocalist and when BTS debut in 2013 they were more into rap so I think our generation it's was easy to be both army and exo-l so I'm proud to stan like you 3 amazing groups (nct my men)

Nah their story line is so interesting and the theories are very creative. For example fans believe that since D.O’s power is so close to the tree of life (Force/Earth) then he is able to see the “Truth”. He’s always seen looking at the camera or staring alone at things. It’s super interesting and recommend definitely going down the theory rabbit hole.
And good news exo will comeback with all members soon in 2023

I never thought I would get into kpop….. I’m still not really into it tbh ….. but I have been a kdrama fan since 2009 and I love OSTs. That’s how I met and fell in love with EXO. Since 2014 when D.O. just killed it in ‘It’s OK, That’s love’ I became interested but didn’t really want to delve into the whole Kpop thing as I thought it was for teenagers. But I did start to follow his acting career. It wasn’t until Chanyeol was part of one of the OSTs for ‘Goblin’ in 2016 that I really started going down the EXO rabbit hole and couldn’t be happier. It was then that I understood why people loved them so much. I hadn’t seen so many crazy talented guys in one group. I really regret not getting to know them earlier and I’m thankful that even though they went through so many hardships that could have broken a weaker group, they are still standing strong. I don’t think I can stan another group and I’m not really interested either. EXO has become my home and although they are in hiatus right now, I will wait happily until all our members are back together again. Like our leader Suho said ‘if you are happy to wait, then it’s love’ 😊

Being from big 3 also gave them exposure to more hate than other groups, EXO went through a lot since debuting just because they are from SM and ppl were expecting things from them which made them under the pressure and hate targeted all the time. I'm so glad they withstood that and became who they are today. KINGS

This is a very good group guide, of them all in one. It does a decent job of spotlighting all of the members. However, in 2020 and 2021, one of our loyal EXO-L's went and made 9 individual guides for each of the members, and they went into a lot of really good information and included a lot of clips to really get to know the members better. The channel is called Cesar Oh, and they have a Playlist for the EXO member guides. There aren't a lot of groups that have guides like this, and people really fall in love with each and every one of the members, and the group as a whole, so much more, after finishing. I hope you can react to those at some point. Here are there. No rush or anything. Just so much fun watching your journey into the EXO rabbit hole. And I am glad you ended up giving them a chance, even after a rocky start.
Till now I'm still amazed how SM found those gems n put them together in a group... Just wow. Its once in a life time happening

Just to clarify, unfortunately, the political climate between Korea and China was only a little better for a short time. However, since this guide was made, China's Idol culture has become even more restrictive after the election of their new president. Plus, Lay left SM Entertainment earlier this year, but he has made it clear that he hasn't left EXO. Although there are still several obstacles in his way to being able to work with EXO. Therefore, it probably still will be some time, if ever, before we see Lay working in person with the rest of EXO.
We finally got to see Lay in an EXO project last year -- the first time since 2016 -- with EXO's "Don't Fight The Feeling" MV, but he really didn't get to work with EXO because of the pandemic, etc. Everything he did for that MV was done remotely and independently and inserted into the song and MV.
You should check out Lay's lyric video for his song "Jiu," a song on his most recent album, East, which was released after he announced his departure from SM. This song is evidence that he has not left EXO and that he still considers himself part of the group, as every word of the song is a tribute to EXO. I have also read that on Webo he mentioned how he was working out a deal with SM that could possibly allow him to still continue to do projects with EXO in the future. (I mean it's possible, Taecyeon from 2PM left JYP Entertainment, but he worked out a deal with his new company that has allowed him to continue activities with 2PM. And even more encouraging is the fact that Girls' Generation just had a comeback as a full group even though 3 members left SM 5 years ago. Plus, Lay is an independant artist in China who owns his own company.) I mean, SM has been supporting Lay in everything he has been doing so far, including endorsing him when he started his trainee company Chromosome. And I don't think there is any bad blood or uneasy feelings between Lay and SM, so anything is possible.

When God rained talents EXO was up in sky to catch a huge amount of it! But these men are also humble and respectful to all other groups.. seniors or juniors. Not gonna lie, I haven't seen or heard a group as good as them. They are just on another level above the rest for me.

Their concept is one of the coolest things about EXO. It really drags you in and entices you to want to know more once you are introduced to it. OMG you'll drive yourself nuts like us trying to figure out where the story is going. We only know what they actually tell us outright and the rest we theorize based off the information and clues we get from VCRs, MVs, Performances, and teasers. All plausible, but you'll find the fun is trying to come up with your own after going back to watch all the MV's and VCRs of EXO, its sub units and solo albums yourself. They're the reason I started taking k-pop seriously (I know how that sounds, lol), but they really stood out from a first listen I was hooked! Kai and Baekhyun are definitely my fave, but I am a fan of all of them, absolute aces!

They be called flop in their debut days..MAMA was fire but many people were disappointed since the expected more from groups under the Big3. and in short, yes they are all actors (the least is Chen who only had acted in a musical and more focused towards OSTs -that's why he's called the King of OST)

Truth be told though- EXO is one of a kind and I predict they will be the ONLY one of its kind of group to come of Kpop. 9 talented individuals in their own rights who have stamped their mark in different genres and scenes and are still making waves and evolving. To survive 10 years without a constant or a consistent group promotion says alot about their calibre and individual talents. EXO #weareone #saranghaja 👍
