I just bought an 1816 which needs either the Onan engine gone through or a repower with a kohler. This video series helped me greatly thanks and nice work!
Fabulous rebuild, the changes are great and extremely helpful. I will be using them on mine. By the way was the lathe in the picture a SB9. Thanks again for the great post.
How do you like them BKT tires? On the fence vs Goodyear. Price point is big. I did a repower twice! Kollher 20hp. Motor shelled out. Bought new 18hp Vanguard. Degreased painted, new seat led lights and strobes, paint, decals. Built a door for winter, took a walk behind vinyl cab fliped reversed. Heated seat pad 12v. Keeps me toasty Iowa Winters. Seal kits for cylinders, new hoses. Made a bucket mount for snow blade 48". This my power wheelchair for the future.
Hi Mike: Wish I could view your build. As for the tires. I bought tubeless tires and had to install tubes in them. So I do not know how much I saved by going with less expensive tires. I do not know about how they wear because I have not used the machine enough yet. I have to put some decals on. I am slowly building a Roll Over Cage. Good Luck with your machine and the cold weather.
Another nice project, is this a start of a collection or for someone, this unit looks like it needs a cab?, my L250 is all painted, got all new hydraulics and wiring on so far, its a part time project
@@farmerrick9660 I will look forward to viewing your build. I gave you some bad info earlier. I made the mistake of thinking you were talking about the seat bracket on my current case skid steer build. On the New Holland I built the bracket under the seat so that my seat would be raised. I am tall and it helped mafe the machine comfortable for me to operate. Sorry about that.
Hello Joe W. I kept an excel spread sheet of the entire build. I have $745.00 invested in the hoses and fittings. That does not include the parts to rebuild two cylinders. The cost of two new cylinders. And the hydraulic fluid. Good Luck...

The lathe is a six foot long R.J. Reed. A true antique. Thank you for watching.
30 years on Case Construction nice job👍👍👍 🇦🇺Australia
Wow! I got a view from the land down under? Thank you for the compliment and for viewing my video.

Good luck with your project. Is there a way to view your build? Thank you for the kind words.
@@oldretiredguy might get my daughter to do a basic upload when I’m done, I’m almost there, fitting the Kohler engine in the morning 😅

What do you think it cost for all the hydraulic hoses. I also have access to a crimp tool too
I’m thinking of putting all new ones on my machine too

Thinks. That’s what I was thinking
