- Follow along on a day in the life of Bike Big White’s dedicated bike patrol team, presented by POC. From the crack of dawn, watch as they gear up and hit the mountain, ensuring the safety and security of recreating guests. Learn about the unique challenges and rewards of patrolling on two wheels, and gain a deeper appreciation for the vital role bike patrol play in maintaining the highest safety standards at one of British Columbia’s most technical bike parks. It's an inside look at a day filled with adventure, service, and dedication.
Bike Big White would like to thank POC:
poc.com/en-ca - For keeping our patrol team protected on the mountain in both summer and winter.

If I would be younger, this is the lifestyle I would want
I am yunger. And this is the lifestyle i want
So much respect to patrollers. As much as it's a fun and "dreamy" kind of job riding bike park and hanging out in the alpine all day, its tough work! First Aid is not easy to train, and to be able to remain calm and collected in any situation is something only few people on this planet can do. The only thing better than riding today is riding tomorrow, and these are the guys and girls allowing us to do that day in day out. Thank you all!
I'm a former bike/ski patrol in the BC interior. It was the best job I've ever had. I'm glad to see it hasn't changed much at Big White. I miss it dearly. I'll probably apply for a job when I retire (it was that fun!)
What do you do now?
@@martinschwartz7342 I name paint colours.
@@dirtydove250 That takes a talent that I do not possess. If you show me blue I will tell you that it is dark blue or light blue but I couldn’t tell you the name of that blue.
just been enjoying the park this weekend what a blast
Really nice to get a glimpse into the behind the scenes of a bike park. The "7:00" time shown at the start and a video length of 7:00 minutes were cool attention to detail.🙂
What an amazing job !!!!!!!!
I MTB everyweek and workout in between! I got 4 yrs left before I am eligible to retire from law enforcement! This will be my post retirement career!👍
The Baywatch of mountainbiking 🙂
so well made deserves more views
Our bike patrol are there to literally hang out and call an ambulance if needed. Pretty wild you guys have an infirmary. I wouldn’t trust our guys putting a bandage on me
Great video. What a life to live
What a dream job
I just dislocated my shoulder in a big crash a few weeks ago. Worst pain I've ever had. Glad to see pain meds..
So awesome. Thank you for sharing. Hope I can visit one day!
20 years ago I was a ski/snowboard instructor....now almost 40 i would have chosen bike patrol if I were living in Canada....
Neat POC advert 😂
getting paid to ride at bike parks, i need this job
Found my new dream job!
Cool video. Really enjoyed it
I can imagine these people do ski patrol in the winter, bike in the summer
dream job for sure
shout out to Pat!
Do you need an EMT Basic certification or just basic first responder course?
Dream job
how do i get this job
If i am an RN with some ED experience would you qualify for a job like this?
this might come rude over but i dont mean to be rude but how much do you make and what do you need to study to be a bike patroller
You would, probably need to study health.
First aid.
It’s more of a seasonal contract/seasonal job. If you chase summers like she did, work for at least 12 months. I think the ranges would be from 50k-90k.
@5:40 I'm sorry WHAT run?????
My though also
😂
thank god you're not bike patrol
Doesn’t pay. Work for your retirement.
Very inclusive!
