      Question- if I use a leave in - then a styler, do I need to seal with an oil? It just seems like so much product for my hair. However- you said something important - I don’t need to use a lot of either stylers. I was very heavy handed with my styler causing the excess to just sit on my twists.

    I love almond jai, used it for years. I use it with hello hydratuon conditioner n a oil or alikay naturals lemongrass leave-in. Great moisture, definition and long lasting. N the smell is life. Running low, I decided to try melanin. Waiting for it to come. Very excited.

    Great comparison review, I think the Melanin Haircare side was more defined and less frizzy. The CRN side did look good but not the winning side it appeared to be fluffier and less defined. Can’t wait for the WNG with the Melanin Haircare.

    I have the exact same hair as you, texture and color wise haha. So I’m always following your tips and the best one was Camille rose for sure! But as a Brazilian, is hard to find it (products with hemp are forbidden here, so is a crime too rs). So I saw the first natural ingredients that is contained in the almond Jai, bought it, mixed it and the result was wonderful! My hair became soft and defined.
    So for the people who have problems on finding those products, here’s my tip!
    Congratulations for the channel!

    Thank you I've tried both of these products and my hair have better results with the Melanin. I really appreciate you saying that if you use the products as directed over a leave-in you will get better results. Lots of the reviews I've seen have not used the products as directed and then complain about the results I just don't think it is a fair review if you don't use the products as directed.

    • @ALove4Me

    Great second review of the difference between these two products, haven't tried the Melanin product yet, one day I plan too, however CR products I really like. I sometimes put a little of the Curlmaker with the almond jai mainly just because, both sides do look fabulous, the Melanin might have a slight edge, I say either one you could grab and keep it moving. I just like finding products on the ground that I like. Tfs as always

I am interested in seeing your wash and go with the Melanin before I purchase. I use CRN Almond Jai Twisting butter as a wash and go combined with the Curlmaker and I get always great results. So the Melanin cream has really peaked my curiosity. Thank you for your video.

  • @tynnettam9636

    I have both and I do feel like the melanin side elongates the hair a little more. I do prefer braid outs over twist outs, they last longer for me and I don’t have to rebraid or twist at night. I’ve done braid outs and twist outs with both so far. I think the CM Almond jai has more definition and less frizz with a braid out for me. Melanin is a great product and my braid out was elongated but the back of my hair became frizzy really quickly. Next time I’ll the Melanin twisting cream with smaller braids, since I usually do chunkier braids...the moisture retention was the same for both though which lasts about a week for me.

    • @alex1462
      @alex1462 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      For a lot of people, heavy butters give a soft hold. I can get definition and hold with just shea butter as a styler: never for a wash and go, but for wet set styles. Heavy butters work great for me in non-humid environments.
