Hello Sir, I've got a 26mm Yaqi Timberwolf and wonder if the Mink could be an improvement for Head shaving. I find the Timberwolf to be very nice, but just a tad scratchy sometimes for head lathering. I'd appreciate a little softer easier splay on the Mink but I am not sure if it outweighs the slightly undersized knot for head shaving. Looking forward to your input.
Steven Shapiro I would give it about a six and about a 3 ....Let me explain This brush is much like the Frank Shaving G4 in the sense that the bristles close to the handle have a lot of back bone but tips are very very soft. I hope that helps 3 on the tips ... six PR INDEX IN THE BACK BONE PART OF THE BRUSH~! So botton line you can paint real well and lather real well with it . On of my subscribers said the Mink was "springy" I agree with that term~! Kit
Greetings from Russia, Kit! Thanks for the video and the channel in general! Which Yaqi synthetics are thicker and denser generates foam? Bought yaqi Cashmere 22mm and handled cella cream soap better than any of my brushes. Cashmere is my favorite fiber since I have sensitive skin. Should you try yaqi's 24mm Ferrari Cashmere? In my collection there is a boar brush, a badger, and yaqi's plissoft synthetics.
The Ferrari bushes are nice and I do agree that that Cashmere is a very gentle knot. .... Funny I am now using all Boar brushes exclusively now myself .... Two Omega's and one Semogue.... just suits the way I shave best now...In case you wonder why ? The why is my boars lather up soap really well. Two I lather into a travel scuttle that keeps my lather warm and the Boar bristles hold heat better than any synthetic and also they let the lather go from the brush to your face really well and doesn't hold too much in the brush itself... Just things I never knew cause I was late to boar brushes ...I have a video on the 3 day Boar Brush break in.... I have tried a few times to go back to synthetic brushes but I am way too spoiled now on Boars.~! Kit

This is a really really nice brush because very few Omega Boars have a larger knot and when this one is properly broke in it is a killer good brush IMHO. Well they are both good Knots but not the same exactly. The Mew Brown a pretty firm knot and tips not quite as soft as the mink tips. The Mink knot is springy with very soft tips.. Two good knots the different each with a little different feel on the face. You can not really go wrong with either one~! Kit
