thank you so SOO much for sharing your problem/less-then-perfect anthuriums! I seeing your successes but I learn so much when you explain all the the things you think might be holding a given plant back ... you are the best!
just sat down to do some art, and BOOM this video appeared. Thank you! I'll be working on a cute linocut print while hanging out with you/your video :)
44:10 I have a NOID anthurium that looks exactly like ur AOS. It even behaves the same as urs with thr yellow fade on new leaves. However mine has a green petiole.
I just started getting into beneficial bacteria etc and was loving it, as I noted root rot was a thing of the past. Then recently i noticed mites in cabinet plants. Every Anthurium had what i NOW know are mold mites. Cabinets were 70% RH which is perfect conditions, so now i ask you, how the heck do u not have mites?? I destroyed my plants btw tryin to eradicate what i thought were spider mites 😅
Great video. I’d love to see a video on the anthurium flowers what receptive looks like and what in pollen looks like. How to collect and store the pollen and how to pollinate the inflow. Any day to hangout with you is good for me.
BTW made it to the end... time zone wise, palm street not in South Africa so my feedback on that would be useless XD But your sunday upload times are good XD Happy new week!
I’m hoping to see anthuriums grown primarily in ambient and are not so heavily dependent on greenhouses. I know that will help me a lot as I acquire more anthuriums
Love yr Channel, 💕💕 I have the notification bell on. I caught the Anthurium addiction a few years. I grow ALL outside under 50 % white shade cloth. All trial n error but so far so GOOD. Even with winter here in Australia the lowest it gets is 4C. Love n light Pete Far Nth NSW Oz.
Well done, well said , well explained! The attention to all the details was great. Thanks for sharing your collection. Anthurium are my sh*t . I have most Anthurium, like 4 philodendrons left ,iv gotten rid of most . I just got a karteldaun Red beauty× Rlfs a Blue pap x red spider ,a Basilisk x hurc and a hu Dora x basilisk seed im excited . They are little but taking off . I can't wait for part 2 of this video.
Do you have the same issue with Coco Coir with your Philodendron's? I know you don't focus on them as much being an Anthurium girl but I'm curious if the sensitivity is localized for you.
I noticed you have water in the reservoir of a lot of your plants! I’m wondering how you don’t worry about rot with that? When I do that in my tent my plants stay wet for too long!
I think you do have to acclimate anthuriums to being used to constant moisture with a reservoir! Plants that I have had a history of neglecting and letting go through dry cycles will get oedema once transitioned to a soil setup with constant moisture
Does blister varigation continue? And how do i tell the difference between normal and blister varigation. I have a red spider x bigfoot seedling that shows a bit of varigation in two of four leaves, but it is only a speck
Blister variegation often isn’t stable on anthuriums, but it hardens off silvery, kind of sparkly like the venation on silvery anthurium leaves. It’s usually not as opaque as the silver on silvery Hoyas and has kind of a webby pattern. Some regular variegation will show up as spots every now and then on some of my anthuriums but it typically doesn’t persist for me!
Perfect timing, my dishwasher is broken and I have a million dishes to wash so I’m glad I have this video to keep me company.
Oh no!!!!! Last time my dishwasher started leaking it was two days of me laying on the floor running cycles with a flashlight 🥲 hope it’s fixable!
I've fallen down the anthurium rabbit hole in the past year, ever since I was influenced by you & Charmaine! 😂❤
I’m so proud 🥹🥹

I’m sorry but I’ve watched quite a few of your more recent videos but I still can’t figure out what an exo?/hexo? is. No idea how to spell it.
Sorry I am new ... But who is Amanda?😆
@_bunnyyy_____
I thought the same, she has 4 friends that she talks about a lot. You can usually see them in the description of her videos. They share plants.
first!
Good morning Isaac!!
I really need to stop watching your videos, my wishlist just keeps getting longer
