As a fitter I always fit these socket near a covered area ,ex in a porch ,and use clear silicone where necessary.

Did I really see him drill the 4 holes in the back box with it sat on the customers Astro turf and drill the outside holes without moving stuff out of the way a putting something down to catch the residual dust.
