In this excerpt, after Palpatine is freed from Pax Teem, he senses that Plagueis is in trouble. Plagueis had neglected his security, which resulted in him getting badly wounded during the Massacre at the Gran Protectorate Embassy. Thankfully, Sidious was able to reach Plagueis just in time and escorted him out.

Darth Plagueis used force punches to kill the Maladians. It is the same power Mace Windu used on Dantooine against the droid army.
YESSS this is my favorite part of the book! Plagueis showcases the power of a TRUE DARK LORD OF THE SITH! Plagueis with his lower jaw and trachea severed still manages to kill so many Maladians WITH NO LIGHTSABER! Only martial arts and the Force! That is true skill and power with the Force.

Also Plagueis can cause a ground quake but in SWTOR, the inquisitor had to use a gas explosion. Either they weren't as powerful or the writers are idiots.
Each writer has their own vision of how to approach the story and characters. James Luceno, in my opinion, understands the universe better than the writers of TOR.
To be fair to the Inquisitor, he/she didn't have the powers of the force ghosts and he/she was still apprenticed to Zash, if I remember correctly.
Also, the building seemed quite large. The Inquisitor caused a very large ground quake, almost comparable to an earthquake (albeit a (very) small one) with the gas explosion (in my opinion).
The jedi consular can make force quakes. It all depends on user affinity

Plus, Plagueis is one of the most powerful Sith Lords to have ever lived. Numerous sources have indicated that Sidious was the most powerful in history, so his master would be within the top two or three.
