I don’t think people understand how genius some of these are. The amount of work and ingenuity it takes to make SM64 do some of this stuff is unbelievable. Thousand of hours of work, upon millions of hours of community effort. It’s insane.
Obviously it’s outclassed visually by the rest of this pack, but some of those levels really were genius, and I’m so curious how complete that thing is and what the last like 10 levels would look like.
Rom hacks are absolutely insane in recent years. In the second troll hack competition there was one entry that just straight up puts in persona 3’s turn based battles in a single room to play with, then gets right back to the shitposting afterwards.

According to the patch notes for the hack itself, it's self composed. I haven't found it uploaded anywhere, but the author's music can be found on the youtube channel @ElarixMusic . They are also elarix on soundcloud and bandcamp. They have some other nice DnB tracks there.

It’s unfortunate that the channel that shown a gameplay video of it has been terminated and I haven’t been able to find another channel who did a video of “Slide With You”. It’s also unfortunate that you ended it there, I was hoping that you would’ve completed it, but I understand that you wanted to stop there and focus on the next one. I just hope that someone does a video of it, because I like the story to it and the lesson it teaches us.
Slide With You was beautiful and felt genuine in a cool in a way that a lot of artsy/indie projects don't usually feel, despite their attempts to convince me otherwise. Really incredible work, I hope they continue to grow their talent for game development.
These kinds of mods just show what you can do with the insane tools people develop for old games. I don't think even Half-Life or Gmod for that matter have these kinds of mods.
