The Touhou meme spans more than just consoles. If there's a way to represent a pixel in a game, someone probably made Bad Apple in it. Someone made a screen in Factorio in which they played Bad Apple (though they also made a two-player 3D game within Factorio, which is insane). Someone also made Bad Apple within CSGO... You'll believe it when you see it. I remember spending over an hour just watching Bad Apple videos, because it's very fascinating. Much like the "will it run Doom" thing. The video itself is great because it's all black and white with very distinct shapes.

Funny thing is, I’ve grown to love crusty audio (to an extent). I think corruptions might’ve played a part, and as evidence I cite that a couple of my current favourite tracks are “the friendly faith plate” and “I saw a deer today” from the portal 2 ost.
OK, can someone help me remember what the song is that starts at 24:32 when Lee Carvallo turns on the radio? I definitely remember the original version being used for a montage on some show or another. Also what's the "meme song" in the ramen game? It sounded familiar the first time around, but when I went back and replayed it, it just sounded like nonsense.
If you want good video out of the Gameboy Camera you gotta play the video at half speed, then once it's recorded through the GB camera you double it back to normal.
If you remember scrolling space shooter games like Gradius, Zero Wing, and R-Type, like on old consoles and in arcades, it's a lot like that, except with shitloads more bullets and lasers in the air, so called "bullet hell" shooters where you're frequently navigating your character through gaps and patterns in dense sprays of enemy attacks. And instead of playing as fighter jet-ish space ships blasting droves of aliens, the characters are a wide assortment of witches, fairies, shrine maidens, etc, various cute anime girls using magic. Zun, the original creator, is famously very chill and laid back about fan works, his original goal was to make the kind of games which he wanted to play, and which featured the kind of music he liked.
Adding into the explanations above, the song itself is a famous remix of a track from the old OLD Touhou games - NEC PC-98 computers in fact. The remix scene is huge in the fandom, and when (i think?) this remix came with its own music video of the classic characters up to Touhou 10, it was a match made in heaven for people to replicate it in anything that can display black and white at a high framerate.
@@Tinlion09 One of my favourite songs is a Tooty Hooty remix that I didn't know until years later called A Slient Voyager (MZC Flip Out The Hush House Remix). The core arrangements of the music are incredibly versatile and can be adapted to pretty much any genre.

I don't want him to retire the segment, but I would like him to spend some more time playing some of the games. He seems to rush through game packs and I don't always like that. I love when he gets immersed in a game and plays it for awhile and we really get a good idea of what the game is all about. Even if that means we have to have a part 2 or part 3 to the segment. I watch a streamer who uses a timer that is affected by an active poll in chat. Chat can vote to extend the timer or shorten it. When the timer hits 0, he moves on to the next game. He can override the timer if he really feels like a game is boring or really bad, but he typically doesn't. It helps him gauge how chat feels about a game and prevents a situation where the streamer drags on a game that the audience has little interest in watching.
