      Hi Neil. We did subscribe and are binging on your reviews and comparisons. Please help us we saw a floor plan on a review that had a full time bed "nook" in the back passenger side and we believe a coach and rear entry "mudroom" / bathroom. Do you or any of your subs know what that configuration is called and maybe a manufacturer that specializes in it. We saw it on TH-cam a month ago and haven't seen it again. We have a condo in Cocoa Beach but we love the Keys and hate the idea of beach track in the RV we are definitely buying for Atlantic coast adventures. Thanks, and love the content!

    Simply the best..by far. If people only knew how much extra work you put into your editing, and overall production Neil they would be very surprised. I can think of many advertisers who love the demographic you serve. I hope several of them jump all over you and help fund this fantastic content. Keep up the really outstanding work and your audience will just continue to grow. Congrats to Harvest Hosts for having the brains to see something good and jump on it, others will follow, count on it.

    Niel, we have the pleasure-Way 22.5 , an older model 2014. The quality we have found on this unit is top notch. Everything in the unit works well and as designed (still 4 years later), generator, lights, water heater, stove and the bathroom is wonderful. It's it's own little dressing room. We are very impress with the high quality, we believe it's a step up from the Leisure in this area. Although the Leisure is a nice unit, it's so important to have good equipment and a good thought process in function design. The Bathroom is gravity driven, therefore cleaning works wonderful all the time and is very quick. Seating in front drive area again wonderful can drive many hours with no back problem. Although we do have to set up the bed each evening ( takes all of 5-8 minutes), it is very comfortable and supports your back well, no topper needed. Again made with quality material and designed to function as needed. Having said this , I do agree the Leisure unity looks nicer, however when I want to have a Hot Ride I go to my BMW, we chose to have function and quality material 1st. We live is a wonderful place, it's always great to have choices , your views just need to know what's more important to them. Thanks for listening and as always we very much enjoy your channel....

    Hi Neil. A simple recommendation when you are discussing the mechanical perspectives on two different vans . . . when discussing engine type, please add Horse Power (HP) and Torque (lbf∙ft) . . . I know these numbers are easily found if one goggles them, but since they are such important factors for new buyers, who are comparing different coaches, it would really help to make your videos a "one stop shopping" review. Also, if you could add whether the coach is front wheel or rear wheel drive, at the same time you are discussing the engine, so much the better for the same reason. BTW, I agree with the Unity over the XLTS. All the best.

    Thanks Neil, I like that you spent some time on the mechanicals like electrical, tanks, and controls. But a huge difference between these two vans is the price with the Unity at $128K vs the XLTS at $145K. But disregarding the price, I have to give the win to the XLTS. It is such a beautiful interior with all that corian, the better electrical, and the fact that you can likely squeeze all this into a standard parking spot gives Pleasure-way the win.

    • @Ultramobility
      @Ultramobility  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi, Lisa. It was hard for me to make a choice on this one. There isn't one answer for everyone and the XLTS is a fine choice between these two for many. I'm glad that you appreciate what I do and thanks for sharing!

    Great review Neil! Another thing that needs to be pointed out is that the Unity has ducted air. Not so on the Pleasure Way. This could make the Unity more comfortable and less noisy. I would love to see a comparison.

    Yes, I totally agree. Storage and functionality puts LTV ahead of Pleasure-way. We would definitely buy the Island Bed model. I also like other vans such as the Travato 59GL, but my husband doesn't like any of the smaller "B's", but he totally loves this B+ (small C).

    Hey Neil, I just discovered your channel and I really like it. It is not easy to find unbiased RV reviews on the Web. Especially with this kind of production value. You are like the Consumer Reports of the class B world! Many thanks. I just watched this comparison and have to side with the PW XLTS. Both are nice rigs but I wouldn't want to own anything above 23ft, if you do, it makes downtown driving and parking more difficult. Also, I've seen more than a few campgrounds that do not allow RV's over 24ft. I also like the build quality of all the PWs. True, I think the bathroom on the XLTS is overdone, too much corian, too much weight. And really how much time do we spend in the bathroom, compared to the other parts of the RV. The XLTS is the boxier look which isn't great but once you get away from those sleeker, shorter class B's nothing looks very good. I like the B+'s because of all the extra storage they afford. It's all a trade off and nothing is ever perfect. Best!

    Neil, LOVE your reviews sir! I have a simple request for your videos going forward, which you may ignore I’d you wish. I find myself more and more dependent on a workspace for my laptop, backup drives and such. You touch on this in this video, however there some important features that owner need to consider; Stability, sitting position, can the TV be used (replacement assumed) as a second monitor for your laptop (eye level, forward back as well as up and down adjustment) and seating comfort, size, and most importantly height adjustments. Dining tables that ADJUST up and down as you wish are excellent, if the seating is comfortable. Having a work area is critical nowadays as we all seem to be tied to our devices more and more. Thanks!

    Hi Neil, this is a very comprehensive review. Thank you. I would like to see a comparison of the quality of customer service between these two manufacturers e.g. given some common problems e.g. failed parts, etc. how long will it take the respective manufacturers to resolve the issue. How well does the quality of their "authorized service centres" compare? This isn't a simple task but it is certainly one that is of extremely high value to any potential purchasers.

    When we used to backpack in the Rocky Mountains we referred to this as the bigger backpack theory. The bigger the pack the more stuff you didn’t need you stuffed in there and this added more weight. Really if you are on the road, how many extra stuff do you need.? The pleasure way has more than enough “storage”.

    I love the Unity AND the XLTS. Either would make me happy, however, I do lean toward the Unity for the same reason you gave it the edge Neil. Functionality. Having the Corian is great but I love the bathroom in the Unity and the fact it has an actual bedroom. I do wish LTV would go to lithium batteries and hopefully hey will see the light on that soon. Also I have seen where LTV is starting to implement Multiplex wiring in some units. Awesome review!!

    • @Ultramobility
      @Ultramobility  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      yep the lithium batteries can be upgraded after market as can the inverter. so then other than a better warranty the unity ib has a much better layout IMHO. if this were a comparison between the Unity MB and the Plateau XLMB it would harder to award the win to the Unity.

    Great Review....as usual. And... I'd like to add some more comments -
    1. I've had 5 Class B's over the Decades. ALL great vehicles. BUT.............As we've grown older and walking became more difficult for both of us...I found it hard for me and especially my wife (who I have to help) to move around the narrow aisle..especially in our last Class B (A 2016 Roadtrek Zion). And we're fairly small people. I would guess standard size buyers, with our condition, would have worse problems. We went to a Class B+ (A Thor Gemini) and navigation has become much easier.
    2. Now that I have a slide out...I REALLY enjoy having the more "roomy" atmosphere when we camp. Our RV NOW mimics a small cabin or condo...being more "square" than "long"..... and is much more livable than our previous Class B's.
    3. Also a Class B+ does NOT have to be for use "only during vacations". I drive mine to the store and am able to park in just about any standard parking slot in a lot, albeit, with a little "hangover". I can also easily park along the street without worrying about width.
    4. I WISH ALL class B's and B+'s would come with an second alternator instead of a separate generator. Certainly a lot more quiet and you don't have to worry about depleting your propane supply while getting the 110 VAC you need to power up your microwave...aircon...and TV's. The second alternator was on the RAM engine and was standard on the Roadtrek zion.
    5. I WISH Pleasure Way and Leisure would consider expanding their distribution network more widely in the USA. The nearest dealers are just too far for me to get to to purchase a vehicle and, more importantly, rely on for maintenance. Why both don't strike deals with big outlets like Camping World is a major question I have. Both companies make excellent vehicles but I'm afraid they take themselves out of the market by limiting access to their sales/service distributors..... to MILLIONS of potential customers.
    Anyway...Thanks again for your excellent reviews!

    Hey Neil, I love your unbiased reviews, there is a couple that is sponsored by an RV Company, and during their live feed, several people brought up "Pleasureway". The couple could not bring themselves to recommend anything other than the brand that they were being sponsored by. The funny thing is....that company took away their Motorhome for some reason so they are currently without one.
    I have to agree with you on this review...I'd go with the Unity too.

    Hi Neil
    This was a great review of two of the RV's I am considering, though I am about 12 months out from a final decision due to scheduling. I just joined as an early access supporter as I want to encourage you in this small way to continue with your reviews. One quick thought and forgive me if I have missed it on your list of videos, I would be really curious to know if your growing base of viewers, might join forces with you to provide some product reliability / ownership experience data, specifically, product failure rates. Realizing this would be a rather small statistical data pool and so the results might need to be taken with a grain of salt, however it might also expose any major product shortcomings. As you have mentioned, manufacturer warranties vary greatly and terms are sometimes less than transparent. A basic question to your viewers asking for their 5 most significant product failures along with RV brand, model, age and milage might prove really interesting. Also any comments about servicing dealers and lessons learned. One more item, a future video topic for you, a deep dive into the top class B+ manufacturer's warranty terms and coverages. Thanks for your passion for this and the outstanding video library you have created for us.

    • @Ultramobility
      @Ultramobility  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      multiplex wiring is how the electrical wiring is done inside the coach. standard wiring is much like what you may have in your home where lines are directly wired into a central fuse panel with independent leads switches and multiple ground wires formed into an octopus' nest of wiring harnesses. Multiplex wiring provides power to a common distribution center that is controlled by various switch panels (centralized control centers) via cat5 network cabling. each switch bank can be programmed to controls each light, fan etc. via software.

    Every week I think, "this is my fav review", and it is....till next week. That first impression view of open space in the PW is quickly usurped by the permanent bedroom setup of the LTV. For me, both of them get demerits for not offering a compressor fridge. If I remember correctly from your past reviews, PW fit and finish is superior to LTV, so there's that. But Ultimately, IMO, the winner is the LTV.

      i'm glad that you appreciate my reviews weekly Jennifer. I try hard to make them unbiased, fair, entertaining and information. I get better each week. it was really hard for me to choose but part of my brand is making the tough choice like every other buyer has to do. in the end I love PW but in this head to head the Unity wins. If it were a head to head between the XLTS MB and the Unity MB the pleasureway would likely win.

    I agree I like the unity better, a permanent bed that has space on both side to make up the bed and get out of bed is a must have for me and the higher up outside hook ups reduses alot of bending over. Did you do a review on the twin bed model?

    Also, why not compare Island Bed to Island Bed? Both the Unity and the PW XL come in different configurations - and may be better to compare like configs?

    • @Ultramobility

      yep we will compare different layouts. This was the first and viewers voted on this comparison that's what I did! PW doesn't make an island bed unfortunately. I could do murphy bed to murphy bed.

    I would also prefer the Unity over the Plateau XLTS, except for one very important factor......warranty. Pleasure Way' s warranty is five years, while the Leisure Travel warranty is only one. They both look very nice, but I suspect the long term quality/reliability is higher in the Pleasure Way.

    • @georgek719
      @georgek719 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I believe the LTV warranty is 2 years.
      Still, I would rather have a short warranty that I didn't utilize rather than a long one that got a lot of use. Under warranty, if your RV is tied up in the shop for weeks or months (and it happens!) you're not compensated.

    • @84imreplica
      @84imreplica 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Are you saying that the Unity is more reliable and has a higher level of quality than the Plateau?

    • @georgek719
      @georgek719 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not at all.
      Please take my post as a generalization only. Just saying that the length of a warranty isn't the only factor at work here.

    • @georgek719
      @georgek719 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Also keep in mind that the warranty is on manufacturer items only. I believe that components like water pumps, refrigerators, etc. carry their own warranty, which may be significantly shorter than the manufacturer's.

    One question: I owned an LTV MB and it was not a four season coach. I have heard the Pleasure Way is a four season coach? BTW, loved the LTV but was just a bit too small so sold it. Have a Newmar New Aire on order. Not too big, not too small...and great for glamping!

      @ras57719 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ultramobility I like the Murphy bed (60”X80”) layout in the LTV, but the electronics in the PW has my attention. Is there a 3rd party way of upgrading to lithium & 200 watt inverter with auto-start generator?

    • @Ultramobility
      @Ultramobility  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      yep you can upgrade after market to lithium and you can upgrade the inverter as well. not terribly complicated but you would likely need to find a specialist to do it.

    I would have to go with the Unity over the XLTS. The problem with Leisure is their small dealer network on the East Coast. We ended up getting the Tiffin Wayfarer TW also on the MB 3500 and like it very much. We took the bedding out of the overhead cab area and use it strictly for storage.

    • @Ultramobility
      @Ultramobility  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      JR thank you so much for sharing your experience. LTV's dealer network is strained as is Pleasure-ways unfortunately.

    • @chadschittone4632
      @chadschittone4632 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      JP, how have you liked your Tiffin TW ? We are looking to move from B to B+ ( or small C ) and it's between the Tiffin TW, PleasureWay XLTS or Leisure. We are concerned about the 1 yr ( vs 3-5 year warranty ) on the Tiffin - seem's way too short? Like you there are limited (1) Leisure dealers in Texas which is a consideration for us. Multiple dealers certified for Tiffin and Pleasureway.

    • @JRMoritz
      @JRMoritz 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Chad Schittone : Chad, we really like our Tiffin Wayfarer TW. It’s small enough to get around town and large enough to be comfortable and have a
      Dry Bath as well as adequate storage. We took the mattress out and use the bunk area for additional storage. Tiffin customer service is second to none. I would not worry about the warranty all that much. You can buy an extended warranty. The problem with the others is mostly lack of storage and the wet bath! I guess there are trade offs. So decide what is most important to you. JR

    Excellent review, as always.
    Very close choice here.
    The price difference is accounted for by higher end equipment and fittings on the xlts.
    However, the much larger storage on the Unity would be hard to turn down.
    For me, at the end of the day, for class Bs, you need the dual use of the sleeping area.
    In the Unity, to permanently dedicate the whole back half of the RV for use as a bedroom doesn't make sense.

    LTV really needs to incorporate the wiring/ags/lithium batteries that PW has already. LTV also absolutely needs to match PW's warranty or at least go to 4 years. In many other ways, as you pointed out, LTV has some nice advantages. If I keep waiting, maybe they'll get there. Glad to see a gasoline Sprinter coming. Thanks for all of your reviews/info.
