I switched from Nikon to Canon this year and completely switched how I shoot. I went from all primes with Nikon to zooms with Canon. I got the 28-70, 35, 85 and the 70-200. The 70-200 is so sharp and fast. I love how compact it is and the weight balance just works with the R5. I mostly use it for wedding ceremonies and it never disappoints.
28-70 and 70-200 is my go to for events and I also have the 85. I prefer the 85 for solo portraits because for evenIs find myself stoppig it down to often. I'm also waiting for the 35 and would consider using credit lol
i agree , i shot an entire event just using the 28-70 and my M10r with the 35 1.4 and sometimes 24 1.4 , loved it. i can recommend the 70-200, it is very light. super smooth bokeh and rendering.
The weight of the mirroless lenses is aleady reduced due to back lens is positioned so close to the sensor. I was wondering of you try cameras used back when I forst started you would quickly realised that the weight of R6 + 28-70 is like half if not less.
That depends on the person and what they're photographing. For me, its always the lowest F stop thats my focus, so the F2.8 as I need the most amount of light on my sensor for what I photograph
Regarding the 35 ... you know the EF 35L II is a total baller on the R5 / R6, right? Sharpness and CA rejection equal to - or better than - to the RF 85 ƒ1.2 And, it's available, now. Those two are such a killer wedding combo.
I've been contemplating trying the EF 35L II but feel like I'd be going backwards when, in theory, the RF should be released "sometime/any day" It might just be my mindset since I didnt upgrade my Canon but switched from Nikon with all new purchases
@@bokehbiz , yes the fast RF 35 prime is likely to be released this year but will be $2k+USD. You can get a 35L II for half that and the images are so amazing.

Thats amazing!!!
It was def a big switch from Nikon to Canon but I'm so happy with the change also. I want to try to 70-200 too

hahah so would I! One day it should be out
I wasn't a fan of the EF to RF change but this lens is a great reason to love the RF revolution.
Are you liking the change now?
@@bokehbiz yes. Change isn't always easy at the moment but loving it now.

I want to try to 70-200 so bad. Though I'm concerned I wouldnt use my primes much anymore if I do
Love the 70-200 for candid shots, but I stick with the 50 1.2 for anything else.
loove the 50 1.2. Some say its over priced but I love it
I love 28-70 f2 too❤
Such a great lens!!

Its certainly considerably lighter than cameras years ago but the weight of this over a full wedding day adds up and adds strain for sure
When people are talking about 70-200, are they talking about f4 or f2.8?
That depends on the person and what they're photographing. For me, its always the lowest F stop thats my focus, so the F2.8 as I need the most amount of light on my sensor for what I photograph
what were u fil, ming this on? autofocus was crap
Audio from this video seems to clip just saying
I know thank you, still working on cleaning up the audio (I'm a photog. Video is a new add area for me)
I find myself holding the lens and not so much the body. I think it's worth the weight.
I def do the same thing. Ton of weight to it especially after full days shooting

You need to stop whining about the 35 1.2 and talk about your subject on the video.
