This was the best show that I've attended in a very long time, thank you plini thank you Aaron. Catching plini in Orlando Monday hope to see you again very soon. So hurry up!!!
I don't know why but 5:19 draws some tears. Its strange because the song is happy in many ways and even this part is euphoric but there is something in there. Its like it is a form of happiness dispite this sort of revolved sense of sorrow. Like if one of your grandparents died a beautiful death of natural causes. You are sad but in many ways happy about how it all went. The craziest thing is that the chord progression that does all the work (basic dorian i-IV pedal chords) is so simple and common. The way it is raised in the song somehow lifts it to tell more. I don't know, I fucking love it.
I don't get tears, but I also think it is one of the most powerful progressions not only in this song but like top 5 or even 3, and I am old lol! Totally a moving and impacting ending, great post!
I feel the exact same way bro. It's because it's a very powerful progression and build up to an epic ending. I agree with Roland, it's probably in my top 3 of epic chord progression/song builds ups ever. I wish more people knew about Plini and especially this song, it's a Grammy winner imo
I discovered Animals As Leaders long before Plini. Watching Tosin, Javier, & Matt in this video is like when you meet someone in store and he was your young father friends and he tells the story about it. What a feeling
It's so awesome to see both Aaron and Plini come so far as musicians. From the first Intervals EP that me and a few friends endlessly nerded out over back in 2011, and then hearing the Halcyon album around the same time.. And now they're touring together, selling out venues across the world essentially. So stupidly happy for both of them.
Words fail to express how I feel from the first few longing notes of Plinis's solo starting at 3:23...i"m carried away with his wandering sounds, like a Yearning and Sadness but mixed with Hope and Expectation all mushed together in notes that bring you there... my, my, my...Sorry i think I need a tissue!... its an Anthem to the those who believe in "All Good Things Are Possible". Thank you Plini and Crew for your masterful use of sonic energy to take me away over and over. This song has become my GoTo for inspiration and Positive energy. I hope many others find and get to appreciate your genius. G
"Handmade Cities" it´s one of the finest records ever made. Plini it´s on another level from his contemporaries. He can show you places where Rush,Jazz,Satriani,Vai etc. can live in harmony.
A gorgeous and uplifting mini-epic played by one of the tightest units around. The heavy staccato phrasings are pure magic. Those off beat kick/bass-guitar accents that punch hard from 5:20 are SO delicious. Blown away!
So blessed to have met you and seen you twice, in Pamona, and is Los Angeles! Amazing to see it go down live. You are an inspiration to many. Thank you
Just discovered this great music a couple of days ago from Rick Beatos channel It's fucking killer, light and shade, awesome textures, melodies and performance. There's so much going on in the background too Fucking great!!!!!!!
God damn!!!! @plini this would the 1000th time im listening to the song. But it surprises me each time. If im skydiving and my parachute doesnt open, this is the song i'd like to hear and free fall :D
Saw Plini in Minneapolis on Thanksgiving Eve 2016, legitimately the best-sounding show I have ever heard (same goes for Intervals as it was a split set with the same members). I've never before heard live music that absolutely crushes any recording (of anything) I've ever heard. It was very nearly a religious experience. Animals were fantastic too but I have to say the Plini/Intervals sets crushed everything else ever.
Plini is the greatest musician of his generation. He should be even more popular and respected than he is. He certainly deserves to be held in the same category as people like Vai and Satriani. But he's an even better composer than either of them. He's also a totally cool, down to earth dude. It's awesome the way the video gives time to Aaron, Tosin, etc.
And every day now I find another song of badassery by Plini and his merry band of Musician killers!! NOW ive heard Plini go get him a taste of what sounds like Al Dimeola.. A fing MAZING!
I remember the bassist kicking some slap out of nowhere during your show with Aaron in Toulouse ! The whole crowd stopped for a second, looking at each other like "did this really happen ?" and hyping even more. I'll catch you on April with David Maxim ! Can't wait !
When i first heard them i thought. o.k. but where is the singer? Now i can tell this is the first band that i am constandly hearing - without a singer! I dont know what makes them so different. They are wonderfull!
The most fun

Sweet, can't wait! This Fri, Aug 25th, Plini, David Maxim Micic, and Nick Johnston, are playing in a small venue here in Houston, Cheers !
You done this to be completed

Agreed!!
I totally agree. It's a moment of sheer, unmitigated joy and hope. So uplifting your heart touch the sky. Love it! :)
perfectly used words, dude

such an incredibly HUGE song. that last minute or so kills me every time.
4:49 ;) pure awesomeness !
i almost cried the first time i heard it xd the bass line is so beautiful and the chord progression is gold tho...
That bass taping part hmmm
We have to give some credit to the filming and editing of the video! It really captures the emotion of the music, brilliant
I discovered Animals As Leaders long before Plini. Watching Tosin, Javier, & Matt in this video is like when you meet someone in store and he was your young father friends and he tells the story about it. What a feeling
This song is awesome from the start, and then you get to 4:05 - nobody else is making music like this.

I only heard about Plini in late 2015, and I definitely wish I had known sooner
4:36 that bass, it's pure beauty.
Obscure Creation too bad it lost its headstock

@vidiac2012 i can't tell whether you're trolling or not
@@theluanvuong5886 I think you can.
Plini's music just opens up a new world, a new way of thinking. It is hard to pin down the emotions that he seems to be able to conjure up.
The emotions are a whole new world.

[Lead guitar]
It gives me so much pleasure to see Marshall and Plini play live together.
"Handmade Cities" it´s one of the finest records ever made. Plini it´s on another level from his contemporaries. He can show you places where Rush,Jazz,Satriani,Vai etc. can live in harmony.
Movie soundtrack.
Wish we could've gotten the live mix.
That solo at 4:06 was beautiful. It really took the song to another level. Then when 5:20 rolled around, my mind was absolutely shredded.
I'm with you on that.
I miss this tour so much. That lineup will never be topped.
4:18 to song end is fucking incredible. Every note from every instrument with purpose.
fucking emotional man !
This song is so beautiful, I'm shocked it's been this many years already. Never gets old...
So much emotion packed into a little over 6 minutes....at about 4:20 it really sends chills up my spine. These guys are amazing!
A gorgeous and uplifting mini-epic played by one of the tightest units around. The heavy staccato phrasings are pure magic. Those off beat kick/bass-guitar accents that punch hard from 5:20 are SO delicious. Blown away!
never get bored of playing this song

So cool to see Troy and Matt next to each other. Both huge inspirations in different ways.
This is one of the most atmospheric and soulfull composition i ever heard. Thank you for the opportunity to hear it.

Look at that crowd.... what a nice bunch of guitar nerds! Shame on my I never got to see you live guys, you are amazing!
Of all of the prog metal scene, I don't know why but Plini's music is the most emotional to me. It makes me daydream really deeply too.
The band he has with him is made up of just insane talent
This is literally too good and perfect to be true... so much talent in one band. I can listen to this every single day of the week.
Amazing bro!
Finland? Some day, Plini?
Tell your management to offer you guys to play at 20th Tuska Open Air Metal Festival (@ Helsinki, June 30 - July 2, 2017).

My favourite new find and best show of 2016. Seeing you in a few months again with Animals as Leaders!
Seems like the best lineup I have seen when it comes to stage presence. Music is next level too. Great on all instruments.
God damn!!!! @plini this would the 1000th time im listening to the song. But it surprises me each time. If im skydiving and my parachute doesnt open, this is the song i'd like to hear and free fall :D
The lick at 3:28 is god damn witchcraft. I swear he invents like 3 new notes
So much happening in this song but still extremely memorable and catchy damn
This is a masterpiece
Love the handmade cities reference at 5:05
Plini deserves more subscribers. Fuck. These guys are more talented than 70% of all mainstream artists out there.
Each one of them are more talented than 1000% of Mainstream Artists for the last 25 years

That was some clean camera transitioning. Nicely choreographed.
You guys were my favorite band to see in 2016
The more I listen to this song, the more I like it. Simon......man.
Plini is simply the best in this style... I can also advise you another rising star called "Owane".
Such a great song ,video, and collective of great musicians.
