The beautiful thing about football is that ANYTHING can happen, on ANY GIVEN Sunday! There are so many variables that impact games, no one can predict anything with any real accuracy. So people can debate about teams talent and make all the predictions they want, but NOBODY really knows what will happen until the games are played! GO HAWKS!!!! 💚💙💚💙💚💙
I think Shawn Michael’s assessment of the projection of success for the Seahawks this season is the most realistic I’ve yet heard. The team is so young and the entire coaching staff is so new, that there’s just as much likelihood that they will lose 10 or 11 games as they will win that many. If a few things go wrong- a few key injuries and a few close losses, and the wheels could fall off pretty quickly. The NFC west this season is probably the best division in the NFL, and the Seahawks could play well overall, and still finish last in their division. The most important metric for this first season is whether the team is able to show improvement and can be playing better by the end of the year.
You may be right if the wheels truly fall off. But there’s too much talent to allow that to happen- unless MacDonald can’t coach at all and Ryan Grubb’s offense is a disaster. Ignore the pundits’ predictions. Nobody has any idea what’s going to happen with the Seahawks. I think 6 and 11 is the floor and 10 and 7 is the ceiling. But, that’s why they play the games - to let the teams earn their records on the field.
To the trolls attacking me for my comment, I’m just trying to be realistic. As to the allegation that I’m a closet 49er fan, I find that laughable since I’ve been a Seahawks fan since their initial season in 1976. We were packing the Kingdome and suffering through a 2 and 12 season, but still cheering on every Jim Zorn pass to Steve Largent, Sam McCullum and Steve Raible - before most of you were even born.
@geoffreyjones359 So you think anyone who disagrees with you is a troll? I think what you're putting out there says a lot about you, actually. I'll leave it at that out of respect for this channel. There is no way in God's green earth the Seahawks get worse. Not even in the realm of possibility.
If Shawn thinks the Hawks have just as much of a chance of losing 11 or 12 as winning 11 or 12, then I wanna thank you for saving me the time I would have spent watching this video. I'm still liking this vid out of respect to Dan. But this kind of opinion is what comes when you have to cover 32 teams. Seeing the Hawks from 30000 feet, so to speak. The Hawks are going to be very good this year. Macdonald and his crew are going to be legendary. Look at the moves they are making. Consider our personnel. Pete's culture DIED on the vine. Macdonald has already got these players believing. Not to mention Grubb and Huff and Frazier. Everyone is throwing out their opinion. Here's mine. Anyone who thinks the Hawks might suck this year is sorely lacking in discernment regarding this team. Have a nice day.
Lucas def is the most important player cuz of what happened last year. When he played full in the Dallas game it was different. His absent was the biggest problem in the offense last year
Literally. After watching far too many videos about what happened last year the only near concrete piece of evidence between '22 and '23 is lucas' absence.

Really enjoyed this episode. Really looking forward to this upcoming season. It’s been a long time since I’ve been this excited.

14 games is the floor

Huh? Riq Woolen, Love and DK were in the top 100 to kick things off
I was referencing another list.
Nfl list is the only list that remotely matters. How the players see other players is always fascinating.

GENO IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PLAYER. GO HAWKS!!!
As soon as he started counting his fingers i was skeptical when he started praising the 40 whiners i had to cut it off Go Hawks
Tell me about it.
I am getting a buisness 101 vibe
It is the Seahawks forever! Or at least until Jeff Bezos buys them.
