"Kieran lives in what he told me was called...the moment". Such an accurate way to describe Jesse's neurosis and reaction to Kieran's acting style as if it were this alien concept he just discovered.
My entire family was affected by WWII. My uncle was a Holocaust survivor and lost his mother during a Nazi raid when he was only 14. He was rescued by Irena Sendler in Warsaw. I attended the movie festival in Krakow where Jesse was promoting his directorial debut in 2023; can't forgive myself I didn't somehow share my uncle's story with him. Not only it could be useful in Real Pain, but also just keeping the memory about these events alive is so vital.
Oh my god, you are, you exist, because of Sendler! I have only three true heroes in my life. Irena Sendler, Eugeniusz Łazowski, and Jan Karski. Each one, barely known but enormous human beings.
You have pasted the same comment on every single promotional video, and every time, I think to myself, “how the hell would this story have been ‘useful’ in the creation of a movie that was already in post-production?”
Irena Sendlerowa was the patron of my primary school in Poland. I remember researching about her as a small child to get ready for a competition about the new patron of the school that I was selected for. It was really heart hitting, even as a child, to read about the great things she did. I still remember this to this day, years later.
Emma is giving big sister, Kieran is giving little brother, and Jesse is giving middle child. They tease him like siblings would. BTW Jesse and I went to Highschool together and I love his films. It's amazing to see him doing great work. I'm a huge film and comedy nerd so it's awesome to see good people get awards and recognition.
The fact that Jesse can have a moment like 19:04 … idk. I knew he played those characters, I even knew he could write those moments but in that moment I thought: wow. He really could be the first heir to Woody Allen both in terms of his body of work and just his own public profile early on *(sans scandals of course, one would hope). I mean that was a Mel Brooks level line, what a character 😂
The only thing I am very sad about is doing this from kind of self-claimed competent and knowing perspective, but completely forgetting about the fact that camps were Polish tragedy too. That so many people who were Polish non Jews were imprisoned and died there, but they are completely forgotten even by people who are more knowledgeable on the subject. And even educators in Auschwitz say at the very beginning of the visit, that first prisoners were Polish, without religion specification.
Absolutely; omitting the fact that three million Polish non-Jewish citizens were murdered by the Germans at the same time as three million of Polish Jewish citizens (plus another three million of Jews from across Europe) is every bit as shocking as Holocaust Denial. There's just no other way of looking at it. Even a brief mentioning in passing of what actually happened in Poland as a whole would have saved Eisenberg's credibility. As it is, it's just an unforgivable omission.
Emma is lovely, but Kieran would have chemistry with a stone (no pun intended). I've been seeing him in interviews with a variety of people throughout the years and he had never not had chemistry with people who were in his radius.
i love how Emma and later Kieran trying to mess with him , but not as much as to become annoying , just a little cause they know they can get away with it :D
15:41 Came to hear Jesse but found Jennifer. Yikes, interviewer just glosses over Jennifer’s retelling of a very visceral reaction to being in the concentration camp space. I’m offended by the heartless transition and saddened by the missed opportunity to acknowledge her deep profound experience. No one can accuse you of being Anderson Cooper.
I'm glad Jesse doesn't watch is own stuff, because I feel like if he saw this video, it would live in his head rent-free as the actualization of some sort of persistent juvenile nightmare... standing in front of the class in your underwear... but instead as a thirty foot tall head in a tux that doesn't cover your belly button
He's just playing the role of the reasonable man in this company. Emma was making fun by speaking into the microphone, knowing that she was interrupting Jessie's speech. That's her sense of humor and he was there for her. A beautiful couple actually.
@@jennyk.8349 yeah but he’s not her father. And this is arguably more her industry than his, so I think she can take the lead here. Getting publicly chastised by your partner is embarrassing at the least.
Omg, these guys on stage are being a disgrace, poor Jesse out there. He'd definitely like to wrap up his being visible and audible after the first 60 seconds. Introvert's worst nightmare ever, and these jerks so enjoy making it worse for him all the way.
I also thought it was funny, got a chuckle from me. Emma was having her fun But I can see it from your perspective, too. Jesse definitely was having quite a time and was so nice to em. What a great guy to work for

So glad to see Emma Stone (Bald) talking about her new film with Jesse Eisenberg!
Lmao
It's likely for her next movie with Yorgos Lanthimos
This movie is amazing. Greetings from Lublin. Thanks Jessie❤❤❤

Why isn't anyone mentioning Jennifer?! She's so precious. And she's a sweetheart.
Brilliant conversation. (Dennis is great at theese)
Not even 2 minutes in and this is great 😂
Great film, it stayed with me for quite some time.
Can't wait to see this movie. I hope it's a hit, and hopefully in the awards area as well.
It was great. I’m a Szczepkowski.

Im polish living in Canada. I hope to see my family next year 🎉🎉 I feel I must see the movie 😅
All the reviews are great in Poland : )

I can feel the chemistry between Kieran and Emma.
Emma is lovely, but Kieran would have chemistry with a stone (no pun intended). I've been seeing him in interviews with a variety of people throughout the years and he had never not had chemistry with people who were in his radius.
I can't believe Jennifer Grey was actually in Dirty Dancing. She's the infamous "nobody puts Baby in a corner".
Emily is brilliant 😍💗

can somebody tell me why they laugh at 19:07 about Kirean lives in the moment? i dont get it
He says “Kieran told me he lives in what he calls the moment” refering that he does not know what that is, and its funny because everyone knows that

Doesn't emma play in movie too ? bummer
4:24 am I reading too into this or was that kind of a dick move by Emma’s husband? She was being cute and funny and he was like no shut up.
I looks like a gentle way to say “ok stop now let him speak” I actually saw her being more rude while Jesse spoke than her husband doing that to her
Oh! Completely!!! Emma’s sense of humor is part of who she is and is amazing. That your husband cuts you off when you’re being you is so f*ck*d up!
Idk I mean maybe he felt she was cutting jesse off so he stopped her...wasn't the best move on his part but I think it's just that
