You guys are great. Keep being you. Your insights are even more welcome as the market begins to shift upwards. Happy holidays!
Thanks Brian!
You two have a great vibe ! Great content as well of course 😊
Great details! You both rock. This greatly helps me to do the additional analysis on the right path.
Glad we can help @Layachu!
Totally appreciate the level of detail you go into. I do a lot of research and watch lots of videos on the industry and I’m not sure there is anyone else around with the same level of detail and knowledge that you both exhibit. It’s a pleasure and privilege learning from you both. Have a great weekend knowing you make a difference to people like me. 🙏
Thanks for the kind words Ed, and for all the support! We're happy to be doing what we're doing, but always have plenty to learn and improve on! Keep doing your thing, we appreciate you!
Thanks for sharing your views.
Enjoy your channel. Have already made gains taking your advice. Will keep buying any pull backs.
Glad you're enjoying them Ray!
Nice to sea some new inspirations. I am a big fan of Qualcomm and i believe, as a competitor to Apple Silicon chips, the number 1 in the future Windows computer market. As long as MSFT does not produce chips itself ;-)
Excellent as always. I’m going to hold and add to the duopoly / oligopoly semi stocks - they are expensive and any pullbacks will be buying opportunities for me.
A great way to go for the LT Rahul, buy those dips on companies with structural advantages.
Great video and channel guys….
In my opinion; It’s very hard to beat a combo of (QQQ or VGT) and (SMH or SOXX) to capture everything tech
Cyberstocks are needed. BUG etf best play on this.
More great insight on the chip industry
Another great video! I love the word of caution as everyone has turned bullish while trends in the industry aren't so clear cut as the bullishness presumes - still, buying the dips would likely be the way to go. Specifically, I also really, really like Microchip but I've recently lightened my position some given that the downturn has just started for them - I think there'll be a better opportunity to get in but I'll be carefully watching and still have my core position.
Hey Matthew, understand completely. With the industrial chip slump in full force, MCHP stock could have some big dips ahead. Patience could pay off!
Love the hat…adds more credibility 👍🏻
Thank you awesome and have a great 2024
Thank you, you too!
Thanks for the insights and information. Tsmc, nvidia, stm are in my portfolio. But the stocks mentioned in the video seems valueable considering the growth and demand in the market.
My picks would be tsmc, nvidia, stm, Qualcomm and apple.
apple is surely in the long race ahead.
Thanks for sharing Vivek, you have a rock solid lineup for the long term!
Wow. Very informative.
Great contribution! Totally agree on Qualcomm, think you are missing out on AMD, Indi and SITM.
Hey there, we do have AMD, no plans to sell!
1. Asml, 2. Asmi, 3. Besi , Greetings from The Netherlands 🇳🇱
A solid lineup of great Dutch companies, some of the most important around few know about! Greetings to you, thank you for watching!
Awesome session ❤
Can you do a video on ARM Holdings and its outlook for 2024-2025?
Thanks for all the great content. Looking forward to the video on whether you think the synopsis Ansyss takeover makes sense
We're looking forward to that as well, hopefully soon after the new year!
very well explained
I am fully committed to $NVDA and $AVGO. My holding period is between 7 to 10 years.
What do avego do?
Great picks thanks. Can you share your thoughts on why do you like more ON vs STM on the SiC space, taking into consideration that the latter seems to be more attractively valued. Thanks again
Hey @isaacb3151, thanks as always for watching! You've probably seen our videos on STM and ON, so you're looking for a more direct comp of the two businesses, right?
Thank for your videos !! And for the Qualcom and Pure Storage Idear for 2024 ff. How strong do you expect the Chip Market growing in the next years and especially in 2024. Growing market 10 % per Year ? Or more ? will be 2024 a strong chip market ? More Handy sales ?
10% is the industry benchmark, but some parts will grow faster. Others will contact, see the updates on auto and industrial chips
My top picks QCOM, LSCC, PLAB (relatively cheaper plays and has more room to run) and AMD which can capture some high end AI inference engine processing market when more businesses move to AI
Sounds like a rock solid list!
Great video! Are going to analice MU earnis? Thanks.
Hey Sepo! Not directly, since we covered there quarterly upgrade to guidance a few weeks ago, but did just finish a write up on what it could mean for LRCX!
My #1 pick is still AMAT. Despite this year’s epic run it still looks fairly/undervalued to me relative to their growth prospects in the coming years.
Looks reasonable to us too! No way we're paying ways with our AMAT stock
Thanks again! Wonderful video. Gave it some thought and did some of my own research, Just grabbed an initial small lot of QCOM and AEHR, guess well see how it goes into 24 but i like the current entry price and QCOM's diversification. I now own, for chip stocks thanks to your channel, ASML, QCOM, AEHR and NVDA (this was prior in 2021 😊). I'm also attracted to SNPS businesses model but keeping an eye out to maybe grab on a dip although the high growth stocks rarely dip too much aside from a overall market decline so not sure what to do there just yet. My overall 2024 in addition to the above which ive held and DCA'd into for 2 years: (equally weighted) AAPL, AMZN, ADBE, COST, GOOG, META, MSFT, TSLA, VOO (30%), cash (12%). I'm interested in 'one ring to rule them all' investments. I.e. solid industry leaders and long term high growth as you can probably tell.
Hey @11101Jason, thanks for the watch, and for sharing your picks! You've got a solid lineup for '24. Way to keep building those positions and holding through thick and thin! As for SNPS, keep on the lookout for a dip in Q1, especially if an official deal with Ansys is announced.
@chipstockinvestor thanks, appreciate you recognizing that, it was NOT easy looking at my account being down over $150,000 at its low point, wild ride. I did in fact double my MSFT at this point though ☺️ and DCA'd into META where I finally broke even and sold out most of this holding.
Another great video. Over past 2 months QCOM rose nicely from $110 to $144. But aren't cellphone and vehicle chips out of cycle? Their X Elite PC chip isn't avail till June 2024 or later so is this a pick likely to bloom later in the 2024 year?
Hey Mark, good question. As far as we can tell from guidance, the latest uptick in smartphone and IoT sales has already begun. PC sales are indeed going to lag until midyear or later. Auto is a big question mark!
Great video as usual guys. Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year to you both. You guys are doing a great work on this channel. I'm learning tons from following you, not only about investments, but also about industry trends. Are you guys married? working for same company? I am sorry for this weird and such a blunt question, perhaps you mentioned it in one of the videos which I missed :) great work again and have a Happy Holiday.
Thanks Sagig!
We're married BTW, and biz partners
@@chipstockinvestorHaha ! Great. Glad I asked you. You guys are truly great. Again, thanks for all you do, Happy Holiday and Happy New Year to you both.
Thanks!
Thank you for the support @DougPage-nz8qi!
Awesome video👏what do you guys think about Infineon technologies? I think they are looking to have a really nice year
Hi @ludviglarsson307, thanks for watching! We did a write up on Infineon earlier this year, posted on the community board. Infineon's margins tend to lag behind some of its peers like STMicro and NXP. But it's a solid business!
Hi guys, what about Broadcom vs ARM?
Really enjoying watching these videos. Is your full portfolio accessibles?
Hi Neelz, thanks for watching! We don't publish our full portfolio, but we do share all of our positions throughout all the videos. We may change how we do this in the future.
@@chipstockinvestor It would be an interesting video to see you run through your portfolio with a review of the different positions, even if it's not your real portfolio!
Hello :) do you think you might do a video about potential of synopsis acquiring Ansys?
We will provide some deeper commentary once an official announcement is made, complete with deal details (still just a rumor at the moment). Thanks for asking!
I love your vídeos! What about Super Micro Computer (SMCI)? It had skyrocketed in 2023 but I think looking forward there is room for much further growth and the valuation is still reasonable. Regards from Spain 😉
Hey @pablogarciaaller2100, appreciate the watch and comment! We talked about why SMCI doesn't fit our particular framework a few months ago, but we could circle back to it again. It could indeed be very cheap, but we already own lots of NVDA, so SMCI doesn't do much for our portfolio. In case you're curious, here's the older video we're referring to, and we'll discuss this again in a bit more depth in January. Cheers!
th-cam.com/video/wUtj3dh5ejE/w-d-xo.htmlsi=WZkZGu55h0VHfMop
@pablo what an amazing call? Hope you bought $SMCI back then!!
ON and QCOM were already 2 of my favorites, but it's not dream favorite, and I hope there's stock market dip before I can snatch it up. I love NVDA, AMD, and INTC....there is a stock where you can get all 3 in one!!
etf
@@patrickprendergast9589 No, SMCI
You need to seriously rethink onsemi. They will not be around in 5 months. It will be cut up and sold off. Hassane is the epitome of corrupt corp America.
Invested 400k with NVDA in 2021 , Will SKYROCKET SOON. NY
Have you guys covered BESI at all in previous videos? Would love to know your thoughts on the future of packaging as moore’s law reaches its limits in the coming years
Did an article a couple weeks ago, posted on the community board, but we need to do a video!
@@chipstockinvestorwill check it out!
2023 Very strong year to CAMT. She help to AI in the memory. Lets see her in 2024.
Any thoughts on leveraged ETF SOXL? it got hammered in early 2022, but seems on the rebound. TSM share price does not seem to go up as much as NVDA or other companies. Sold half of my ARM shares for a 90% profit. I think as one bank holds 90% of the ARM shares, the price may drop on a whim. Any thoughts on NVEC /NVE corporation?
Well, it's designed to track the daily move of the index, not for a long-term buy and hold. Big index tracking errors with leveraged ETFs. We've never done a formal public review of NVE, but might do one in the future.
Hope Qualcomm stock will be more valuable in 2024...
We hope so too Puru! Cheers
Nice cap!
Ha, thanks David!
I just found this channel and subscribed. I've dabbled in investing and focused on chip stocks (I started all in on NVDA) since 2017, so I'm still a noobie. My question is: Obviously I love NVDA as they've made me a lot of money, so when Kasey mentioned them I looked at her other pick, Pure Storage. The concept of investing in flash storage has been intriguing to me, but I never knew which one to look at. After a quick look, I noticed that their P/E ratio is 275?!? Now like I said I'm far from experienced, but isn't this a tad bit high AF?? My question is what am I missing?
Look at forward PE and you’ll see why
AHHH! ty, I knew I was missing something@@alexkoch14
@alexkoch14 is right, we like to use forward looking PE and profit metrics here. Also helpful to compare the EPS with free cash flow per share!
@@chipstockinvestor I went and sold Indie Semiconductor (which I'd bought before finding out about your channel) and replaced it with shares of Pure Storage. I had no idea that INDI was diluting their shares with Chinese investors money? Did I get that right? Previously I'd dumped all my Chinese stocks (JD, Alibaba, Nio) because it looks like the Chinese economy (and society in general) is in free fall from the vids I've been watching on TH-cam. I don't trust Chinese investments at all now- I guess they lie about their numbers and fudge the books. Again, thanks for the heads up.
QCOM is also my top pick
Cheers Victor, hoping for a better year QCOM!
have you considered Japanese Semi? The Nikkei was up 27% and Screen Holdings was up 173% similar to Nvidia. It has been a long time for Japan. Japan is the Switzerland of Asia and Screen won a special customer award from TSMC
We have, but it was about midway through last year. Covered Tokyo Electron and some of the IDMs. Really solid business! Haven't done a video on Screen yet, though.
Found your channel yesterday and like your content.
Have you ever covered Kokusai Electric in your analysis? It is the largest IPO in Japan since 2019. They have a market share of 70% in a special form of Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) systems that allow up to 100 wafers to be coated in one operation combined with extreme cost savings compared to traditional single-wafer ALD, where ASM International, Tokyo Electron and Applied Materials are leaders in the market. Therefore, Applied Materials attempted to take over them, but failed. I have them on my list of favoured semi stocks for 2024. Regards from Osaka.
Hey @gerharda.8095 welcome!
We have not done any videos on Kokusai Electric, though as long-time Applied shareholders we are very familiar with them. We have some work on Lam in the pipes, this would be a good time to finally get at least a mention in! Our channel has been live for a year-and-a-quarter, so we still have lots of ground to cover. Thank you for pointing out our omission!
BTW, do you know if KKR and Applied still have a large share of Kokusai Electric? Nick thinks that they do, at least according to our sources.
Appreciate your comment! All the best in '24!
@@chipstockinvestor KKR is with 43,83 % still the major shareholder. Applied Materials is the second largest with 14,99 %. Good luck.
SMCI - did not make the list hmmm...and happy holiday!
We're still feeling like this one is outside the criteria we look for. No patents, no IP, it relies on its chip Co partners, so we pass. But that doesn't mean it can't be a great one!
What do you think of ACLS??
We need to do an update on that one!
What do you think Allegro Microsystems?
Hi @Gilthay, we need to do an update on Allegro!
what's your thoughts on ACMR
See the video timeline, last video was on ACMR
For 2024, My #1 pick is AMD
It could be in store for an epic year!
Your problem, your views change....or maybe the economy changes....or..or....YOU"RE THE MESSANGER. The short on lithium was useful. Other sector plays would be great. Giddy Up! shania twain🐎
Aehr@$23,81 👍
I think any chip stock investor should include Analog Devices in their portfolio. Why? I think they are the leaders in mixed signal processing. This is how the digital world communicates with the analog world. The world humans live in is analog but data processing tends to be digital.
ADI is rock solid. We did a write up on it last month, posted to the community board!
❤
Smci 😊
VTR is a great AI play.. They own liebert
Please put chaptersin your videos
Qualcomm today minus 5 %, SMCI + 8 %, what Expert you are ?
Seriously no one knows anything. These guys study the sector so much and still get things wrong.
I like Lattice but theres a rumor Intel will spin off their FPGA business already. Which means another pure play back in the space.
Hey there, this actually isn't a rumor, Intel actually said this is its plan within the next two years. They will sell a stake in the FPGA biz, but likely remain the majority shareholder. At any rate, Lattice is already competing with Intel FPGA as it is, so we don't see anything changing just yet.
Kasey looking like the gangster of Wall Street LOL
Should she keep the cap going??
Big Bear AI is affordable and up & coming
Broadcom ?
We're more than happy to keep our long term position in AVGO!
Im keeping it long term too
You confused me re txn. Something about dispensing with that notion ...?
Hi @maicolc7216, sorry for the confusion! Nick meant the notion that TI is the only analog chipmaker with really consistently high profit margins! MCHP and ADI have really high margins too but don't get as much attention.
SMCI is very expensive
It could be, it's a cyclical business model
Intel 👑
could still have room to run, thanks for sharing!
Intel looks good , with its comeback and foundry in ohio, israel story..
First time viewer. Sounds scripted
Nope not gonna touch TSMC...tempting but nah
Totally understand!
Even if I don’t think China will invade Taiwan, that’s different from expecting investors to stop discounting the stock due to this fear.
Snps anss merger 🎉🎉🎉
I'm gonna invest 30.000 USD, how does this portfolio look for 2024?
Synpsys
ARM
Universal Display
Qualcomm
Asml
Besi
Asmi
AMD
Nvidia
Intel
Tsmc
Atomera. ATOM
Thanks!
Thank YOU!
