I was watching this one for a long time but did not load up when it dipped recently. Now tracking it more aggressively for a buying opportunity. Good video as always folks, love your content. I do not like just going through the earning reports, learning what the company actually does always makes a big impact on my decisions.
Your radiator question is pretty accurate. It’s like switching from the air-cooled VWs and cars of long ago to the liquid cooled radiator systems that are common in ICE vehicles and hybrids. I was thinking the same thing!
It goes like that with all stocks... Never wait. History proves that good stocks always go up, and up, and AI is the future. Vertiv is a partner now of the largest company in the world, Nvidia, and Nvidia had good results and announced a stock split on June 10. So you are gonna see a higher demand, meaning and even higher stock price, meaning also more work for Vertiv, meaning, the stock is gonna blow. I would still invest in Vertiv.
could you please review POET and SealSQ (Laes), the former is on optics to replace copper wires in GPUs and the latter builds chips to quantum computer proof encryption.
Interesting perspective on a competitor of Super Micro. I've considered investing in Vertiv and will keep this one on my radar. A closer look at the Vertiv balance sheet is next.
Yes, the cooling skemes you discussed are similar to automotive radiators which mostly use water cooling. This technology is 100 years old but always a challenge to implement due to the amount of parts involved (heat exchangers, cooling fans, piping, etc) as well as making them leakproof. Also, the cooling systems you discussed are very similar to the allin1 cooling system I have on my gaming PC which is relatively inexpensive.
I stumbled into SMCI on a foolish but fruitful impulse buy right before earnings in January ….2x and sold, then recently bought on the dip at $777…..this never happens to me. Usually, I buy something and it immediately goes down.
Just wait, it will go down! 😆. Dont get me wrong, Im bullish on SCMI, but the sucker is volatile. Don’t get shaken out! Or maybe do-who knows? But you’re in good I think.
Welcome to the chip boom! … it’s been a party for the last 10 years & has grown like the Gold of Technology … I love buying SOXL … 5x in the last 9 months
What will make the stock drop? What catalyst gets it back to a value play? Maybe a drop would indicate the company isn't run efficiently or other companies are better. There does seem to be a tailwind bc of the growth of data centers. Yesterday stock was up, volume pretty strong. What is the market seeing? If you want to participate with your own money, put on a collar to play next quarter earnings. Buy the August 105 call, buy the 105 put and sell 120 call to help fund the price of the Put. If stock drops you have the protective Put in place to get your money back. If stock kindly rises. adjust short call and sell some short puts below 105. Picking stocks is near IMPOSSIBLE, most fail at it most of the time. I like the story but all stocks are bad so play it safe until you know she's the marrying kind, lol. Thx for the high quality video and info.
Cooling chips would fall into the engineering topic of Heat Transfer. Not to get too technical. Fluid can be air, water, other liquid. The goal is to get fluid to absorb heat from chip, transfer the fluid away from the chip, then dump the heat into the environment.
It was a penny stock a few months ago that was in many lists that recommended buying it. I didn't do it because I was new to investing but I had it in my favourites. Now that I am a bit more advanced at investing I am a bit sad I didn't buy it a few months ago but today I bought two stocks from them just for the sake of it. I usually only invest in top 10 companies so this one is a gamble. I don't do enough research for these complex ETFs.
Let’s be real yes you missed 500 percent. What if it returns another 500 percent in 5 years? The S&P 500 returns annually 8 percent and 8 percent compounded over time is significant. Using the rule of 72 an 8 percent return annually will allow your money to double every 9 years. That’s what’s known as a good return. I missed out on Vertiv’s 500 percent gain in a year as well. I hit Nvidia in the $100s, now I’m looking for some partners to join it. I’m a licensed financial advisor and I still think can be an interesting long term player.
Vertiv apparently in their contracts have written in as cost of supplies go up - the contract value will match that rise. Saw 2 Vertiv workers eating lunch and asked them How was business. They seemed like they had plenty
Great, informative video. I actually didn't do much of a deep dive on financials when I first bought a small amount of this stock (around $20 a share), I just knew they had some AI torque. I haven't added to the position, but at these prices I think I'll just let that initial investment ride. Also did NOT know spin-offs were a vehicle to dump debt - the more you know!
I always though SuperMicro was a key server cooling play, the reason I bought it months ago. I guess it is not as pure play in terms of product integretion or proprietary technology player in cooling as I thought.
It was in the penny stock lists that you can Google. I was new to investing, otherwise I would have bought some penny stocks in Vertic months ago. It was on my watch list. But I bought some today! 2 stocks for a bit more than 200 dollars. This is the only complex product i invest in. As soon as there are red flags, I am selling.
I am of the opinion that it has to be a yes or very close to a yes to put your money, i.e., your time (if you live from your salary) in any asset. It is better to miss and f*ck fomo. Thanks for sharing!
There is no point to look for this kind of Ai collaterals. They depend upon nvidia earnings so is better to invest directly into nvidia. After the water-water Heat Exchangers you can have different solutions depending on the environment , water sources, demand of heating
@@zupinu2000 I think his point is, if NVDA blows up this will get smoked 50% but NVDA might go down 20-30% to start. Once that happens we have time to get out before the panic hits. With VRT you might get stuck.
In conclusion, the rate of heat transfer between materials is a complex function of the thermal properties of the materials, the nature of the contact between them, and the modes of heat transfer involved. Understanding and optimizing these factors is key to efficient thermal management in engineering applications. Quantum Computers should change the game all together. Alphabet model is super cooling below into negative territory. IBM & Rigevetti are using room temperature model. Alphabet claim they had achieved highest qbits. So jury is still out. Short this stock !

@@titan-0016 got it, it's no problem, was just pointing out the date. We actually have a video planned on this next week. Not sure TXN is completely out of the woods yet, not the stock at least anyways.

I love this company. Nice sober analysis, minus the noise. I think the entire energy efficiency & power/cooling space is going to be far more important than most realize. I'm not surprised Nvida is invested in this space, they have to be. I'm excited to see who will solve the energy problem, or perhaps we will get incremental gains all around, and that will be enough to offset some of the problems. It's an exciting time to be alive. You'll never get around EROEI.
EROEI, now that's one you hear few talk about. Nice one Shannon! You're right, it's like a forever battle trying to squeeze more energy out of less and less. For logic chips, the gold standard is the human brain. We've got a video planned!

I was happy to buy $VRT in Q4 2023 because Nvidia had classified them as a partner and somebody has to cool down these power hungry GPUs!
Applied Digital is 1 of my data center plays.
I have Vertiv. Up 34%!
VRT is just getting started...imo
Same with PSTG
Had this on my watchlist since 3/22! It’s up 26% since then sheesh! I was waiting for a better price or pullback!
Sorry to hear you missed it! The thing just kept going up up and away!
